Tiddly Inks - Colour Challenge...

Some Odd Girl - Colour Combo!

Over on the Some Odd Girl Blog our current challenge (and final assignment for the current DT) is a colour one...

So here is the card I made...

I have used Heartsy Mae (I think she may be one of my all time SOG faves) which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

Eyes - B21/B23/B66
Hair - E15/E17/E18/E19
Clothing - BG10/BG11/BG13/R37/R39
The papers are all October Afternoon Road Map which I have layered with some red shimmer cardstock. The sentiment is by Stampendous called Cling Hugs & Laughs and I have added some hearts from the same cardstock punched with my SU punch attached with some Bakers Twine and some red bling. The sentiment was punched using my Nestabilities labels one die (an oldie but a fave!).

I cannot beleive it has been a whole YEAR since I joined the Some Odd Girl DT, and now it is the end (sob sob). During that time I have had the pleasure of working alongside some awesome ladies, with some amazing images....it has been the best, and long will I love my SOG images....so still expect to see me using them.

Cute Card Thursday - You're a Gem!

I have embellished using some ribbon from HobbyCraft with lips on, preal bling, a couple of heart pins (one which was coloured with a Sharpie to match). I have also used stamps from the following Papermania sets...Portobello Road Urban Stamps Postage, Papermania Urban Stamps Travel Print, Whimsy Stamps Everyday Mini Postage Stamp Sentiments, and finally I used a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Welcome to another fun post for this week with Some Odd Girl! We had an amazing blog hop on Monday and Tuesday, and yesterday we found out the hop winner, and Kristy released some brand new clear stamps into the store, which were very Hush Hush!

Some Odd Girl - Bling Me!

It's time for the first challenge of 2012 over on the Some Odd Girl blog, and...It’s a BLING ME Challenge! That’s right. BLING. You know you love it. We certainly love it. We want to see a lot of bling and at least 2 types. Option include but are not limited to: pearls, rhinestones, stickles, loose glitter, foil, embossed foil, misting, glaze. The list goes on!

The papers are all Fancy Pants Love Story which I have layered with some black and red shimmer cardstock. I have added a couple of heart pins a bow. For the bling element of my card I have used a Heidi Swapp bling heart, and some bling in the corner and also some Stickles glitter glue in Star Dust. I used a sheet of the paper from the pad to create the little letters and also a Nestabilities Postage Stamp die.

Cute Card Thursday - What's New!

Saturated Canary - Christmas/Winter

Well with just one more sleep until the big day I want to wish you all a

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I also wanted to share a final card before the big day...I made this one for this weeks challenge on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog, as this week our theme is Christmas/Winter. I decided to go with a winter rather than christmas theme.

I have used the Maddie image available HERE which I have coloured with Copics.

The papers are all some old Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate papers layered with some shimmery brown cardstock. I have also used stickers from the collection, a piece of SU choc chip taffeta and a couple of heart pins. I also added some Sakura clear glitter pen to her eyelashes and Glossy Accents to her eyes to make them all shiny.

Well I better be off as we are getting ready to go off visiting...and I am going to the crematorium to leave a pressie and card for my Mum...and finally in the early evening we are off to Church for the crib service...it always makes Christmas come alive for me.

Photo Frames...

Just wanted to share a couple of box frames I made to sell at the Christmas Fayre at Georgia's school earlier in December.

A Baby Girl One...I love the fact that you can add the hospital bracelet to the bottom of the frame, and if you can see it there is a dummy (pacifier) in the bottom too that moves around.

Saturated Canary Challenge - One for the Boys!

The papers are all 7 Gypsies Baby Oh Boy papers, I have kept this one pretty simple and just added some white AC satin ribbon and the sentiment is created with a stamp from The Greetings Farm Build-a-Onsie Boy clear stamp set and the die is from the Die-namics notched tag die and stamp set.

I adore Krista's cute digi's....and own all the Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy stamps....so you can image the honour when Krista asked me to join her DT....Over the Moon!

Gosh I am so late posting this card up....Have had a lot of family stuff going on, so my blog has felt somewhat neglected....

Here is the card I made for our challenge over on the Some Odd Girl Blog....our challenge is Easel Cards. I decided in my usual fashion to turn mine into an Easel Card Calendar. I used Roller Mae which I have coloured with Copics. The papers are all My Minds Eye Kraft Funday - Happy Days, which I layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I have embellished with some Doodlebug stitched ribbon in swimming pool, a couple of red heart pins a button with string tied through it and a couple of Create with TLC sentiments and a DoCrafts Calendar.

As you can tell I am still busy making these corner bookmarks for the Christmas Fayre, and this is another using a cute Saturated Canary Digi image called Sleeping Beauty, A Princess which I have coloured with Copics. The papers are all Lily Bee Designs "Head Over Heels" and I have used some random cardstock from my stash for the base. I have then added some spotted ribbon, a couple of pins and a sentiment stamped using the Tim Holtz Odds & Edds stamp set.

Today we are getting the christmas lights out of the garage to put up at the top of the house ready to turn on from Dec 1st. It is always a fun time, and for Georgia signals the start of the countdown (and build up of the excitement) to Christmas Day.

I also have a little crafty news to share with you all....but I think it will wait till tomorrow....

Christmas Fayre Makes....

Well I am in full production mode to get stuff ready for the Christmas Fayre at Georgia's school on the 2nd...I am way behind and really need to focus. The last couple of days I have been making Corner Bookmarks. So here are a couple of the ones I have made so far...

The first is a Me To You Bear from the DoCrafts Digital Designer Especially for You CD. I have used some random cardstock and Me To You papers, plus a scrap of ribbon and a heart pin.

The next is using a Saturated Canary digi image called Copica, coloured with Copics and made from Bazzill Kraft cardstock and Lily Bee Head Over Heels papers, a scrap of ribbon, a couple of heart pins and a Tim Holtz sentiment stamped onto another scrap of the paper.

I have made almost a dozen of these....going to make about 20 in total, so can almost scratch them off my "To Do" list.

Fizzy Moon Christmas...

Here is a Christmas Card I made this week...just for fun, no DT committment, no Challenge....nothing but a card for me to send at Christmas.

The papers are all from the Fizzy Moon Christmas 6x6 pad and have been layered with some red shimmery cardstock from Craftwork Cards. I have added some AC satin ribbon, a couple of red heart pins and a Craftwork Cards Christmas sentiment. I have added some puffy paint and Glamour Dust to the hat and then heated with a heatgun to make in shimmery and puffy.

Have had a lovely weekend filled with friends, fireworks, food and on Sunday even peace and quiet. Yesterday I had the craving for Cream of Cauliflower soup. I had it many years ago in a restaurant called Metros in Milton Keynes (think it is closed now), and at the weekend I found a recipe, so tonight I made it.....and it is totally delicious.....I know what I am having for my lunch tomorrow!!!

The papers are all from the Do Crafts Me To You Winter Wonderland paper pack and all have a little glitter on them, which I backed with some Craftwork Cards shimmer cardstock. I also added some puff paint and Stickles to the main image. I have embellished with some sparkly ribbon salvage from a gift from the Lush store, a few pins and a Craftwork Cards Xmas sentiment.

The ribbon was some that came tied around a gift I received from Lush and I have added a few pins, a few snowflakes done with my Martha Stewart punch and also a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

This will be my last DT card as after 18 months on the Tiddly Inks Design Team, it is time for a change. I have loved every moment of being on Christy's DT but as they say "All Good Things Must Come to an End!" I wish Christy all the luck and success in the world, and I am sure that Tiddly Inks will continue to go from strength to strength.

Here is a card I made last week for one of the Mums who had just had another baby @ Georgia's school. Taking a break from the "norm" I decided to put down my Copics and go for some ready to go images from The Clipart Fairy. I used a couple of the ready coloured images, Baby Girl 3 & Barely Pink Sleeping Baby Girl 1, I did however add a small amount of R81/R83 over the pink of her clothing to match the card better.

The papers are all Melissa Frances 5th Avenue, which I have layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I have embellished with a Jenni Bowlin mini baby bingo card, some Making Memoies tiny alpha's, some sheer blooms, seam binding and a couple of buttons.

I am pleased to say the recipients (the same couple I made the diaper cake for) loved it, and it is currently taking pride of place in their lounge on the TV stand...alone so that everyone can admire it...how sweet is that!

Tiddly Inks - Acrylic Card

Here is an acrylic card I made using one of the new images over on Tiddly Inks. She is called Angel Spice and I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...

The base of the card is acrylic and I have added some Bazzill Kraft cardstock, and stuck it to the back of the card to cover the glue used to hold the patterned paper and also to strengthen the card. The papers are all Dream Street Wonderland. I have added some Tim Holtz Alterations "wings" diecuts and decorated them with some Stickles glitter glue and a heart cut with my SU punch.

As this week is an Anything Goes challenge on Papertake Weekly, I am entering the card there too.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Paint It Up!

For my card I have used a Tiddly Inks image called Awww Thanks which I printed onto Bazzill Kraft cardstock and coloured with Copics using the following colours...

I masked the image before adding some Adirondak paint dauber in Aqua/Eggplant and some old Blonde Moments Embossing Pigment which I added water to to make a Shimmer spray. I also added some of the same spray to some Prima E-Line flowers and attached then with a rhinestone spacer and pearl from Hobby House Crafts. Then I finished off with some AC ribbon and a Craftwork Cards sentiment. In the top right there is an old rub-on from my stash.

Baby Shower Gift...

Last month I went to my first ever Baby Shower....I know, how come at my age this was my first. All I can say in my defence is that Baby Showers are very American and are only just catching on over here in the UK.

So I wanted to try making a Diaper (Nappy) Cake using disposables. I had these good intentions to be all prepared, and in my usual fashion ended up rushing down to the local Boots to buy all that I needed just a couple of hours before the Shower.

I bought 2 packs of nappies in different sizes (both Organic), some muslin cloths, a cute "Onsie", a pack of bibs and a set of Ducks...the Mumma Duck has the others sitting on her and of course a cake board to build it on. I was lucky to have some cellophane left over from last Christmas when I made decorated candles for the Christmas Bazaar at my DD's school.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprise that I managed to make it...without looking up the instructions online.....I just went with what I thought. I was pretty pleased, and from all the Wow's that came from the Baby Shower, I think other guests thought it was pretty cool too....I think it was the most original way to package a gift. I would however change a couple of things....but only very minor....I forgot to add a tag (duh!)

Not sure when I will get to make another one, as I don't know anyone who is pregnant at the moment....but who knows right!

My New Kitchen....

Ok, so it was finished in August, but this has been the first chance I have had to show you a couple of pictures...

Here is a photo of what I call "the kitchen end"...

The other day I was asked what was my favourite thing....apart from all of it, my favourite things is that under the sink those handles pull out one big drawer that houses my rubbish bin and also my recycling bin....sad I know. Also next to the drawers under the hob is a two shelf carousel, so you can pull it out and get to all the items on that shelf....it houses tins and packets of things....so handy. I also love my big belfast/butler sink....I have wanted one of those for as long as I can remember.

So I am over the moon with my new kitchen, and actually enjoy keeping it super tidy (I hate cleaning), it may have taken me a couple of years to finally decided what style kitchen I wanted...but I think it was worth waiting for!

Aren't they just so sweet? With these two sets Kristy tried to bring a lot of options to the table with multiple sentiments 2 figures on each that are sized to work together and different elements that coordinate and work together OR separately.

With the Warm Wishes Tia set there is a separate tag that you can use to label you stamped gifts, some cute and quirky snowflakes to use with the penguin or on their own. Deck the Halls Tobie has a candy cane sized to stuff your stockings, jingle bells that make great accents or could be strung on a line and much more!

Sorry for the long absense, after returning on 3rd from our vacation to Cornwall it has taken me a week to get the washing, ironing, cleaning and all the return to school stuff sorted. What with the new kitchen before we went away, the six weeks school holidays flashed past and I can hardly believe they are over for another year, and that Georgia is now in Year Five...where did the time go...

Anyway, I am back with a sneak peek to show you...Some Odd Girl have an amazing new Christmas Clear Stamp release and today is Day One....and the turn of Deer Mae...

The ribbon is some gorgeous velvet stuff that came in a kit from Costco many moons ago...and finally I have used it.

So sorry for being such an awful blogger....no update for almost 2 weeks....I think that may well be a record for me. Life here is a little hectic as we have been frantically trying to finish off the kitchen. We are now fully tiled, and are just on the finishing touches to the painting. We will be finished by the end of the week....

Cute Card Thursday Challenge - Going Around in Circles!

I am so late posting this card here on my personal blog...so much going on at home at the moment, barely a moments peace and quiet...

Anyway, this was my card for last weeks challenge over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog....Going Around in Circles. I have used one of the Simply Sassy stamps from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with Copics. This is the first of three Thank You cards for Georgia's Teachers/TA. The papers are all Echo Park For the Record available HERE in the collection pack and HERE as a 6x6 pad (I used the collection pack as I used some of the sticker elements too) and I have layered with some black cardstock. I have added some Poppies, seam binding, a black button and a couple of heart pins. I also added some Glossy Accents to her specs for glass...

Anyway, better get back at it, our new Kitchen was delivered this morning and we are busy making space in the garage until it is fitted next week....the delivery weighed just over 1 Tonne!

Members of both DT's have been busy making cards featuring NEW Steampunk images from both companies.

So here is my card...

I have used the Treehouse by Make It Crafty and one of the new TI girls. Both images have been coloured with Copics (sorry no colours this time), and I have used Graphic 45 Steampunk papers and some SU ribbon, MM tiny alphas, a button and Tim Holtz Adage Ticket.

Create & Craft for StampOsaurus...

You may remember last week I mentioned that I was busy making samples for the StampOsaurus show on Create & Craft...well the show was on last Sunday and now I can finally show you some of the samples I made. I actually made 10, but will just show you 5 of them today...don't want to bore you...LOL

The show was featuring the Ellie stamps so here are the first batch...

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Reel Me In!

This week over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog our theme is Reel Me In!, we want to see your cards/creation that have been inspired by either a Scary Movie or a Summer one.

For my card I have used a Tiddly Inks image called Aisha which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all Basic Grey Fusion which I hav layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I have used a Bo Bunny Press "clapper board" and filled in the film details, and some bling from my stash. I have also added some Sakura stardust gel pen in clear to her bracelets, dress, shoes and hair jewellery.

Some Odd Girl Blog Hop and Final Preview.....

It's time for the preview of the fifth and final Some Odd Girl image from the July 11th clear stamp release, and to tie in with Monday's release we are having ourselves a little Blog Hop....

So this cute stamp is called Pinwheel Panda and I have coloured him with Copics using the following colours...

R00/C3/C5/C7/C9/R37/Y21

The papers are all October Afternoon Road Map and I have layered them with some black cardstock. To emulate the pinwheel in the image, I created my own with a piece of the patterned paper, and finished off with a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

It's Day Three of the Some Odd Girl Clear Stamps previews and today is the day of Tiny Baker Tia...isn't she just adorable....

For my card I have used PaperMania The Little Cake Shoppe papers layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. The notelet is also from the same range, and I cut the sentiment from the papers. I have added some pearl bling, a doily cut from the papers with my Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily Die.

It's Day Two of the Some Odd Girl Clear Stamps previews and today is the day of Photo Kaylee.

I was in the process of decorating an album that holds photos of things that I have made, which I keep on my stall when I have them at the school fayres...last time I used it, it was plain bare chipboard...this time it will be so much more attractive on my table...

I used an old Heidi Swapp album that came in a kit from Costco many many many moons ago....probably 4-5 years ago...LOL...I have a bit of a thing for mini albums....I just cannot resist buying them.
