Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Week 12 Give Thanks!

This week over on the Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog our theme has been chosen by Kate. Kate wanted us to make a card giving thanks (well it has just been Thanksgiving in the USA). For my card I have used one of the Xmas Magnolia stamps (not that you can tell). I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E43/E47/E49
Clothes - R22/B00/B05
Wings - R20/R21
I have used Cordinations cardstock and papers by American Crafts...both available from Crafty Angels store. I also used my Nestabilities label one die and my Stampin' Up Notepad punch. The little butterflies are the bits that are punched out with my new Martha Stewart butterfly border punch. Finally I finished off with some bling and lace from my stash and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards (I love them...can you tell!).

For the card I also used the fab sketch over on Friday Sketchers, and I pleased with the results...it was so nice to make a card that wasn't a christmas card...LOL.

This week over on the High Hopes Blog the theme is Santa. So for my card I have used my cute HH Santa head stamp coloured with Copics and added Flower Soft in Polar White for the fur. The papers are October Afternoon "Good Cheer" which I have layered with Bazzill cardstock. I have also used a piece of DCWV cardstock that I put through my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug 5x7 embossing folder called "Christmas Countdown", which I have then sanded and then highlighted the "25" by adding Doodlebug sugar coated glitter. To finish off I have added a poinsetta that I got from Bee Crafty at the NEC earlier this month, a star pin by Making Memories, ribbon by KI Memories and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

A Just Because Card...

I got this cutie stamp by The Greetings Farm at the beginning of the month, and finally I had a chance to ink her up and use her last night. It was such a lovely change to just make a card and not do it for a DT, challenge...but just for me because I wanted to do it...my way.

Along with "Princess Ava" by The Greeting Farm I used DCWV "Be Mine" stack layered with some Bazzill cardstock...which I distressed. Added some lace, flowers by Tabby Crafts & Wild Orchid Crafts to which I added some DecoArt "Glamour Dust", plus some pins which are by Fancy Pants and Heidi Grace, and then finally added some pearl bling.....I think this is a "congratulations you kissed enough frogs and found your prince" card....LOL.

So tomorrow is my first card on the Lili of the Valley Challenge DT.....and of course me Cute Card Thursday card...so please come back and check them both out.

I have kept the card pretty simple as it is a boys card, adding just some Ikea string and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Week 10 "Anything But a Card!"

This week over on the Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog the theme has been set by Sandie and she wanted us to make...."Anything but a card". Having already made boxes etc I decided to tackle the mammouth task of making an Advent Calendar. Armed with Camilla's instruction in the Magnolia Ink magazine I set to work, cutting and scoring all the 24 boxes (you can cheat and make one with match boxes...) and then of course there is all the construction and decoration....anyway here it is...

The Top
The papers I used on the whole project were by Making Memories they were in a pad designed to be used with The Slice. I inked them with Vintage Photo distress inks added some paper roses by Wild Orchid Crafts with foilage using my Martha Stewart "Branch" punch, one of the Xmas Magnolia's and a sentiment by Teresa Collins.

Side View One
More of the same papers plus a couple more of the new Xmas Magnolia stamps the little "Dec 25" stamp is by Studio G. To create the drawer handles I used my Cropadile to punch two holes in each drawer and added a couple of eyelets and then used some string to create the pull.

Side View Two
Again more Xmas Magnolia's, I have added Flowersoft in Christmas Green & Shamrock Green (mixed together) to the wreath, and the sentiment is by Catslife Press, with more paper roses.

Side View Three
Again, more Xmas Magnolia's with snowflakes using my Martha Stewart punch.

Side View Four
I used another Tilda from the Xmas collection and also the "DO NOT OPEN" is by Catslife Press, and the "Gifts Checklist" is by Teresa Collins.

I am so pleased that I made this, and it is being kept for ME....I just cannot bear to part with it...so Georgia & David are going to fill it for me...yay

Be sure to pop on over to the Crafty Angels Blog to see what the other DT members came up with. Many of the Xmas Magnolia collection can be found in the store HERE.

Daring Cardmakers "Scraplings"

This week over on Daring Cardmakers the theme is "Scraplings"....the cards you make with left over cardstock. These cards are 2.5 x 5.5 inches...the leftover bit from my A4 cardstock when I make a 5.75 x 5.75 inch card. I have also used scraps from one of my DT kits from Crafty Angels.
I kept the Thank You cards pretty simple just cardstock, papers. ribbon and bling. The stamp and punch are by Stampin' Up (US set) and the butterfly was cut with my Papermania Dimensional Butterfly punch.

With Christmas fast appoaching it is nice to send Thank You cards after, particularly when the kids write them themselves.

High Hopes Challenge 52 - Sketch by Lacey

This week over on the High Hopes Blog there is a fab sketch provided by Lacey. As I had already been playing with the Large Stacking Santa I decided to take the sketch and stretch it into an A5 card. I have coloured the Santas with my Copics using the following colours...
