This week on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog the theme is "Let's Get Fruity!", we want to see fruits on your card/project. This week we are sponsored by Digital Downloads by Louby Loo....go take a peek HERE.

This week I decided to make something other than a card....I made a paper bag handbag....underneath the decoration is a cut down brown paper bag. I have used a hAnglar & stAnglar girl and the stamped fruit is by Stampin' Up. The papers are all Sassafras Lass "Serendipity". I also added an American Crafts "badge", a swrawberry charm from Quixotic Paperie,...thanks Elaine. and some Making Memories alpha's.

Have had the worst day you can possibly imagine so far....think crying, red eyes, makeup all down my face.....so am off out soon to get some moral support and a shoulder to cry on from a couple of fab friends....

Clock Mad!!!!!!

Ok, so you are all by now probably thinking I am "Clock Mad" but here is another one I made this weekend. This one is very different to my previous clocks as it is for a desk and measures approx 7" in diameter and has an integral stand, and it was also purchased from The Range (thanks to the eagle eyes of Marlene for spotting it and talking me into buying one over the phone). I have covered it with the same Creative Imagingations "Art Warehouse" paper that I used on the Gorjuss Clock. On this one I used some pink spotted ribbon that I got from HobbyCraft to go around the edge of the clock face. The numbers and wording was also done using some old alpha stickers I had hanging around...possibly by Making Memories or American Craft, although I cannot be sure. I also cut up a Prima Marketing Bling Swirl and added it in between the wording and stamped images...which are incidentally from the new Manga Range by Sugar Nellie....and are fab....just wished I had been in time to get the other 2 stamps in the range. Finally I added a four layer flower with a brad and spacer (I bent the brad to get it to stand at an angle when I stuck it to the outer edge.....plus of course one of the 3D Butterflies made using my X-Cut Dimension punch....with some added bling....a girl can never have too much bling on her desk.....
Sadly this one isn't for me......although I cannot say who it is for as I have to post it next week to the lovely lady I made it for.... I will however be going back to The Range to get a couple more when Marlene gets back from the USA and I go and see her...and stroke her lovely new stash.....you just know she will come back with some.....possibly loads. I did tell her if she goes to mad, she will have to wear ALL her clothes home to save space in her luggage...LOL

What time is it? - Teachers Gift!

As is a tradition of mine for Georgia's Infant School teachers, I make them each a clock at the end of the school year. This year was no exception...although I almost ran out of time....it was still in it's box at 11pm on the night before her final day at the school....LOL What with making 2 8x8 albums ( 1 each for the teachers in Year 2 ) and making "Thank You" cards for the teacher and TA......it was touch and go as to whether it would be done in time....anyway a little after midnight on the Friday it was finished.....so sorry for the poor lighting in the photo. The papers are actually red/black/teal....they are Scenic Route "Cape Town" papers with a sheet of red bazzill cardstock for the outer circle. I added photos of the Teacher and TA which are framed by Bam Pop Frames. I added plenty of bling and punched swirls with my EK Success "Wave" punch and a 3D Butterfly with my X-Cut Dimension punch....the numbers and wording was done with my gorgeous American Craft Glitter Thickers.......I love them...yum yum.

They both loved it and have already asked the School Caretaker to put a nail/screw in the wall to put it up.....If anyone is interested in having a go the clock was purchased from The Range for £4.99 and had a cafe scene on before I covered it up. It is actually about 14" in diameter so you will need to use more than one piece of patterned paper/card.....which was why I trimmed in cardstock by making curved strips and the centre circle is done by drawing around a dinner plate and cutting out (plate was approx 11.5 inches in diameter). The flowers were also cut from a sheet of the Scenic Route paper.

Thanks for looking...

Here is a picture of the inside which was also decorated with the scraps.

So here is my ATC, I have used one of my new Pink Gem Designs stamps coloured with Copics. The papers are all SassafrasLass "DayDream" and I added 3 pearl gems to the corner.

Tonight is Georgia's Year 2 Leavers Prom at school and I am taking photos to sell the following day. So the Prom finishes at 7.30pm and I have to have over 100 photos printed and back at the school be 9am on Thursday in time for the Leavers Assemby so that the parents can buy copies.....I am so looking forward to Friday afternoon....yay just a couple more days, and on Monday I am having a LIE IN, and a DAY OFF...to craft.

I am almost finished with the Teachers Gifts, which is just as well as time is running out. All I have to do is print a few pics and also add names to some of the photos...so fingers crossed I can get it finished by Friday morning......Plus I need to finish the inside of the cards and also go and buy some wine....

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 14 Judy's Sketch

Here is a card I made last night using the sketch over on The Sugar Bowl provided by Judy. I wanted to wait to do the sketch so that I could use my new Gorjuss Girl from set 3. I have coloured her with Copics and added some sparkle to her wings using "Black Diamond" Stickles. The papers are all by Sandylion from the "Liqorice Lane" range as are the stickers I used for the sentiment, and the butterfly was cut from the patterned paper and stuck in the middle so that it floats and I also added gems to the antenna.

The inside is also decorated in more of the same... And I also decorated the back with a butterfly.....
I am loving the new Gorjuss Set 3...some of my favourites yet. Thanks to Judy for the sketch and the DT for more amazing cards.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 68 "Thank You Miss!"

This week on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog we have a theme of "Thank You Miss!". With schools about to break up for the summer holidays, we would like to see your teacher thank you cards.
This week we are sponsored by Sunshine & Giggles, you can see their lovely stamp designs HERE.

We are also joined again for the second week by Carlyann of CarlzCardz, so please hop on over to her blog and check out her lovely creations!
Finally, here is my card for this weeks challenge...

I have used one of my new Popcorn the Bear stamps available from Crafters Companion, and I have coloured the image with my Copics. The sentiment is also part of the set....such good value too...I got four sets for £18.95.....fab or what. Anyway the papers are all WRMK "Nonsense" and I also added a Heidi Swapp blossom folded into quarters and added to the corner of the main image.

I had such fun on the school trip yesterday...although I came home tired and desperate for coffee....LOL I took over 200 photos and now have the fun task of processing them all. Tomorrow I am back at the school in the afternoon to take photos of the Year 2 students, who are leaving next week, with their teacher and teaching assistant. Each year the teacher gives a copy of the photo in a frame to each child...which I think is a lovely idea. What the teacher doesn't know is that I have made an album for her, and inside will be a copy of each photo and a note from each child, for her to keep....I just hope she likes it.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge - No People!

This week on the Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge Blog we have a theme of "No People". We want to see you use other characters, as long as they don't look too much like people. For my ATC I have used three Magnolia stamps, the African Sun, the Hanging Vine and the Monkey, all have been coloured with Copics and the only other thing I did was to add the wording with my ATB tape writer...simples!

Today I am off on a school trip to Woodside Farm with Georgia and the rest of the Year Two children.....shame it is expected to rain....but we won't let that ruin the day.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch #59

This week on Friday Sketchers there is a lovely sketch provided by Claudia. I have turned the sketch through 90 desgrees so that it worked better with my main image. The main image is "Thoughtful Sprinkles" from www.pinkgemdesigns.com and I have coloured her with my Copics. The papers are all by PaperTrunk "JellyBean". I have kept it very simple by just adding a sentiment by Craftwork Cards and some Bazzill "Opaline" gems.

Thanks Claudia for a lovely sketch and as always to the DT for their wonderful inspiration.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Dawny's Sketch

Here is a card I made with last weeks sketch over on Papertake Weekly. For my card I have used one of my new Pink Gem Stamps coloured with Copics. The papers are all by Heidi Grace, and they are gorgeous...a mixtire of flocked, shimmer and regular papers and they are all layered using Core-Dinations cardstock that I have sanded the edges of. I also added a sentiment from http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk/ and buttons by Doodlebug & Fancy Pants.

The card is for my hairdresser (she buys some cards from me) to give to her friend who's having a baby girl this month.

Thanks to Dawny for the sketch and the rest of the DT for their inspiration.

I will be back later with another card I made using my new Pink Gem Stamps.

I am soooo HAPPY!!!

I got a text from Sony on Friday to say that my Sony Vaio Laptop was on it's way home...and this morning it arrived.

I was so nervous opening up the box wondering whether they had managed to repair it without loosing all my data, pictures and programmes.....Well I am so so happy to report that everything is intact, all the pictures of Georgia playing in the garden that I hadn't printed or backed up yet...all safe. Even the ones with her goofy teeth. I am so happy that I shed a few tears of joy....how silly am I.

This has taught me a valuable lesson, and I sent David off to PC World a couple of weeks ago to get us a wireless USB Hub so that our portable hard drive stays plugged into it and I can access it wirelessly anywhere in the house to get all our computers backed up.

I have been so lucky, with both my technical problems...remember my frozen Nano....received a replacement and now my mended Vaio.

Will be back shortly to show you a couple of cards made over the weekend.

Gorjuss Clock...

June 30th was the deadline for submissions to the Sugar Nellie DT, and I finally applied at 11.50pm...nothing like leaving until the last minute. I wasn't going to apply, but friends told me that even if I was unsuccessful it was worth giving it a go.....So I finished off the project I was working on and sent it in.....and here it is....My Gorjuss Clock, well Georgia's actually...LOL
Georgia is as pleased as punch with her new clock, and if I don't make the DT at least I made her day with the clock....now I just need to put a battery in it and get David to put it up for her...
