Cards for Little Ones/New Babies

Here are a couple of cards I made the other evening. I have already done this card in blue and pink...but when I coloured it in lilac it looks so cute I just had to make another card. I used Tilda in the tub stamp again, See D's cute as a cutton stamp, Junkitz papers, Bazzill cardstock, Doodlebug button, SU scalloped punch and I used a Sakura stardust gel pen to add some sparke to the wings and bubbles.
The next card is made using the Tilda on a cloud stamp, Junkitz papers, Bazzill cardstock, Doodlebug & American Craft buttons, American Craft ribbon. I am calling it "Heaven Sent"...I want to add a sentiment, but am waiting for something in the post....and it's not here yet. Again, I have kept it neutral enough so that it can be adapted for a new baby or first birthday...or even a 2nd birthday....

I received my first order from Magnolia today. I ordered direct on 11th February and then heard lots of comments about orders never received, and taking months to arrive, so I was a little surprised when the postie dropped them through the letterbox this morning. I did however have duplicates, having purchased them from shops in the UK. I didn't need to worry though as the five/six duplicates were sold within an hour....will have duplicates in the next order, so fingers crossed they sell as quickly. So after all that I checked my emails this morning to see that my Paypal account was hacked last night and someone had sent 2 payments totalling $1800 from my credit card. I spent most of the morning filing claims with Paypal, thankfully they noticed last night and place limitations on my account so that they couldn't take anymore money. Unfortuately they cancelled 2 genuine payments that I made last night too....so I had to sort those out too.... So now passwords have been changed and details checked, and fingers crossed I won't have to deal with anything like it again.

Tilda & Co Magnolia Challenge 8

Here is the card I made for this weeks challenge over on http://magnoliachallengeblog.blogspot.com/ This weeks challenge is to make a Wishing you Well card. The cards and projects the DT came up with were simply stunning...well worth a look. I used Chilly Tilda, kindly stamped for me by Faeryscrapper, WRMK "Explore" papers, American Craft ribbon and my ATB tape writer for the sentiment, which reads...."I hear you are poorly, so wrap up warm".

I have a couple more that I will share later when I get in from work...more baby type cards one using the Tilda in the Tub stamp again, and another using Tilda on a cloud.

Today's offering & Earthquake in the UK

Here is the Mothers Day Card for David's Mum. I started it on Monday night and finally finished it off last night. I used Tilda with a Basket of Flowers stamp & Doodlebug alpha stamps (Mum), Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, American Craft ribbon, SU scalloped circle, ATB tape writer for the sentiment and misc buttons from my stash. I am really pleased and I know she will love it....and keep it.
Last night I had fun playing with my new Tilda stamps. I made two cards with the Tilda in the Tub stamp...a boy version and a girl version. For both I used Tilda in the Tub stamp, 7Gypsies "Baby Oh Boy" & "Baby Oh Girl", Bazzill cardstock (on the boy version), SU scalloped punch, Inque Boutique circle sentiment stamp & Doodlebog button. These cards are inspired by Marlene (DoubleDutch on UKScrappers). I copied the colours she used on the stamped image, but the rest is my own...Her cards are so wonderful, you cannot fail to be inspired by them. These can be used as either a New Baby card, or Baby's First Birthday....I have left them neutral enough to work for both.

While I was crafting in the early hours of this morning, I felt the sofa moving/shaking... I went up to bed really nervous and asked David whether he had felt it, and he said no. But when I looked above the bed, the picture was crooked and it hadn't been earlier that day, anway I went to bed and really tossed and turned for a while waking everytime I heard anything. When I woke up morning and on the way to school/work I hear that the UK was hit by the largest earthquake in history at somewhere between 5.2 & 5.3 on the richter scale....see I wasn't loosing it...LOL

Last Nights Cards...

Last night I decided to have another attempt at a green card for the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog this week. Finally I have succeeded, and actually once I started with the green theme, I ended up making two. For this one I used Tilda with Bird, Carved Heart Tree & Tulip Grass Magnolia stamps, Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, Prismacolour pencils with Sansador and my ATB tape writer for the sentiment.

I will load the other card later as I just managed to delete the flippin' thing by mistake and now I don't have the picture with me......darn Blogger.

This card is for my MIL, Pam's birthday which is this Saturday, so it is going in the post this evening.

Another Card...

Here is the card I made lasy night. I started off with the intention of doing the Arty Girls Blog Challenge, to use green....but things changed along the way...LOL SO now I need to work on another one tonight for the challenge.

I used Tilda in socks and book pile stamps, SEI Gerties Garden papers, DCWV, American Craft ribbon, SU scalloped punch, Kelly Panacci stamp into the scallop, ATB tape writer.

It's back to school for Georgia today...which means back to work for me...why are the holiday so short and the working week feels so long?

Have a fun day.

Have a Cupcake Day...

I made this card last night. I received the Tilda Cupcake stamps and they are so adorable. I bought these new ones from www.joannasheen.co.uk She had lots delivered this week. I missed out on the bench, so my sitting Tilda's are still sitting on ribbons etc. I also used Basic Grey "Blush" papers, Hobbycraft ribbon, Doodlebug stamps, and my SU scallop & circle punchs, plus QK Revolution scalloped circle and embossing dies.

I love this card...and the cupcake looks good enough to eat.

Scrummy Stash Cafe Challenge

I made a couple of cards today, one for the http://scrummystashcafe.blogspot.com/ challenge, to make a layout or card with a number on it. So here is mine. I used Tilda with a present stamp, Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, American Craft ribbon & thickers. I also used my new SU scalloped & circle punches, and my ATB tape writer (a new one as the last one broke...I have now broken 2 Dymo Juniors, 1 Dymo Omega and 1 ATB tape writer...some with Georgia's help.)

This next card is another Baby one, I really love the Tilda Bunnykins stamp...just so cute. This time I have teamed it up with 7Gypsies "Baby Oh Boy", American Craft ribbon and Doodlebug buttons. I also used some HOTP stitching stamps.

I received a lovely Tilda order from Joanna Sheen this morning.....so I am in Tilda heaven at the moment. I have been practising with my new Prismacolor pencils, and my technique is improving.

Tomorrow Georgia has a birthday party to go to at Gambado's, I will stay while she is there and treat myself to one of their oh so yummy hot chocolates.

More Cards by Caz...

So I was busy making cards again last night, and here they are. I came up with this idea after seeing what my 9 year old nephew did with my stamps at the weekend. He made a little story book. So here is mine...the Knight is a Sugar Nellie, the Monsters are Woodware, the clouds and bird are Mindys Zoo by Autumn Leaves, the tree is by Stampendous, papers are Basic Grey "Phoebe". The sun was cut on my Cricut from the DoodleCharms cartridge, and finally I used by ATB tape writer to add "Happy Birthday".

This one is inspired by a card on saw on Patsy's blog. I used the Bunny Tilda along with Basic Grey "Phoebe" papers, American Craft ribbon, Doodlebug buttons, and my Cricut (New Arrivals cartridge) for the "Sweet" & "Baby". I wasn't happy with the balance of the card until I added the ribbon and sweet...then it seemed to work.

This one was made using another Tilda....can't remember what it's called. But again I used Basic Grey "Phoebe", Doodlebug button and ATB tape writer for "Happy Birthday". I made the flower using circles of the "Phoebe" patterned paper, distressed, sanded and inked.

More crafting is planned for this afternoon as it has started to rain...so no going to the park for us. Caz

More Magnolia & Sugar Nellie cards

I have been busy making cards with Georgia, and here are the ones from yesterday.
Made this one using my "Lapp Tilda" stamp and my Cricut (DoodleCharms). I used Making Memories Simply Fabulous Meg Collection, American Craft ribbons and some random buttons.

For this one I used a Sugar Nellie stamp from kit#1 and my Cricut(George & Basic Shapes). I used Blonde Moments "Friends Junction" papers from a 6"x 6" paper pad and American Craft Foam Thickers.

The next one uses Tilda in a heartdress stamp, with Blonde Moments "Friends Junction" papers. I also used my Quickutz Revolution to emboss the paper behine Tilda and my Cricut (Alphalicious) to cut "Best Wishes".

The final one is done using Lapp Tilda, Basic Grey "Blush" papers and American Craft Foam Thickers. Again, I used my Quickutz Revolution for the embossing behind Tilda.

Thanks to all those fab card makers out there who have inspired me so much recently. It feels great to make some cards again.

ScrapaGoGo Februrary DT work...

Here are the projects I completed for ScrapaGoGo with the February Kit. The kit contained a lovely mix of Fancy Pants "Crush" and Scenic Route "Loveland". I made this mini book using my Bind-It-All machine and the kit. The pictures I took back in April 2000 were on a digital camera, but technology has advanced considerably since those first digital cameras so the quality is not great. The first digital camera I had was a Sony Mavica and took pictures onto a 3.5" floppy disk...boy was it slow. Anyway the poorer quality pictures looked great when I had them printed out 2"x 3". The next thing I did was a 12x12 page featuring a school picture of Georgia. Her school polo shirt is buttercup yellow, and matched well to the Fancy Pants paper. I used the lines on the patterned paper to journal about how we practiced her school photo smile.
We got a gorgeous sheet of KI Memories lacy cardstock, and as everyone else had cut it up and used it...I decided to leave it whole, like an acrylic page, you can see through this page.
My final 12x12 was featuring my Momiji Dolls. These were my first five dolls and I wanted to do a page about them.
My final page was a 6x12, and my favourite. I doodled around the edge of the page and photos with a black pen. Stamped "Love" to finish the border. Cut hearts from the "Loveland" papers, used lots of the Fancy Pants "Crush" rub-ons. Cut the heart from the Bazzill In Stitchz cardstock doodled on it, and stamped and added with wings. I finally created a flower with circles of the scraps of paper hed in place with a pin from the kit...Can you tell I love this one...LOL!
Anyway, I am currently still playing with the lush March kit, which is crammed full with gorgeous bits including K&Co "Wild Saffron" papers.

HS:MS Cosy

Todays prompt over on Her Space : My Space is "cosy". A feeling of comfort, warmth and relaxation. Find 'cosy' in your space today. I am very late posting this today...even though I took the photo after lunch, I have been having too much fun crafting with Georgia this afternoon. Georgia look so warm and cosy eating her lunch that I just had to use this pic...I took one of the heating thermostat too...but it was no where near as cute...for obvious reasons.
Anyway, Georgia is at Gymnastics again between 10am-12pm...so I get 2 hours of peace and quiet.

HS:MS Hole

Todays prompt over on Her Space : My Space was "hole". A hollow place in a solid body or surface. Find a hole in your space today!!!
So a lot later than I normally manage, but I just forgot to post.... This is a picture of my wearing my Crocs...and of course, Crocs have holes.
Will try harder to post earlier tomorrow...depending on how difficult tomorrows prompt is.

Baby Cards

I received a cute new Magnolia stamp, and just had to make a new baby card. The bunny is just too cute. I used 7Gypsies Baby Oh Girl papers, and my Cricut (New Arrivals Cartridge).

Today was the first day of Half Term, and it was so lovely not to have to jump out of bed this morning and rush around. We had a fun day crafting and doing odd jobs about the place. I sorted through some of my stash. And things look much neater. I even started to clean up my craft room...although I haven't crafted/scrapped in to for months. At the moment I much prefer crafting in the lounge with DH around and the TV on....seems more sociable.
Anyway, back to my crafting and watching repeats of the early episodes of Ghost Whisperer Series 2.....boy do I sit there waiting for something to jump out at me...LOL

Boy Cards...

Yesterday was boy card day. I received my order from Funky Kits which included the Sugar Nellie Kit #1 which includes a Cowboy and a Guitar playing boy. So here is Guitar boy. I used Crate Papers "Hampton", Quickutz Sheriff Badge, Cowboy Boots and Stetson, ATB paper writer with a scrap of crate paper for the sentiment "Happy Birthday Cowboy".
This card is using the Pirate boy from Sugar Nellie, Rusty Pickle "Mayflower" papers, ATB tape writer, and Paper Dolls cartrridge for the Cricut to cut the pirate flag, ship and skull & crossbones.

Today we are off out to visit my family (Dad, Sister and her tribe...LOL). I am looking forward to a wonderful roast dinner made by my Dad...yum yum.

And there's more...

I received a couple of new Tilda's on Friday, and just had to stamp them straight away. On this one I use "Lapp Tilda" with DCWV cardstock, Dena's Closet "Retro Collection" papers, Doodlebug & Papermania buttons, American Craft ribbons and my ATB tape writer for the "Birthday Wishes". I love the pinks with the blue...such a pretty combination.

The next one has been done using the "Tilda Goes Shopping" stamp, together with DCWV carstock, the same Dena's Closet papers and paper ribbon, and the ATB tape writer for the sentiment, which reads "It's your Birthday, Let's go shopping". I also added some Sakura clear glitter pen to the hair and wings and you can see it in this picture.

The final one for today was made using one of the Sugar Nellie stamps in kit 1. They dropped through my letter box this morning and I just had to stamp them immediately. I really got this set just to get the two boy stamps as I knew they were not going to be released individually. I used DCWV cardstock, Basic Grey "Skate Shoppe" papers and alpha stickers, Quicktuz for the musical notes and ATB tape writer for the rest of the sentiment.

I am starting to see the limitations of my pencils. I am using Derwent Water Colour pencils and I only have a set of 24. Now that may seem plenty, but when you are trying to match into papers...it starts getting tricky. I am often using two colours together and then blending with water...particularly for red, as one is too orange and the other is too pink. I won't have to worry for too long as I went ahead and ordered some Prismacolor pencils....a set of 120 for £59 inc P&P from eBay. They are such a good price as the cheapest I had seen them in the UK was £105 plus P&P....so now I just have to be patient and wait...

More Cards...

Here are last nights cards. Yesterday my new mermaid tilda arrived and she was sooo pretty I had to use her straight away. I used DCWV cardstock, Basic Grey "Skate Shoppe" papers, Doodlebug ribbon, paper frills & buttons, Making Memories fish button, Kelly Panacci stamp. I also used a Sakura glitter pen to outline the scales etc...you can't see in the pic, but it is beautiful. I have left the journal circle empty so that I can add an age to the card when I go to use it.

The second was using Autumn Leaves "Mindy's Zoo" for the Giraffes. I also used one of the oldest items in my stash....a Paper Adventures "jungle" kit. I used papers and the die cut vines from that kit.

Card making has certainly changed since I started out......thank goodness there are plenty of wonderfully talented designers that don't use "peel offs".......yuk!

More Cards...

I made a couple more cards last night. The first one is using another Penny Black stamp called "chic". I also used DCWV cardstock, Reminisce "Girly Girl" papers and glitter stickers, American Craft ribbon and October Afternoon stamps.

The second card is using the Sugar Nellie, Lola with flowers stamp, together with DCWV cardstock, October Afternoon papers and stamps, American Craft ribbon and I used DCWV cardstock through my ATB tape writer and sanded off the top to show the words. Such a cool technique and means it will always match.

I also started a third card last night using Autumn Leaves Zoo Animals. It has a Mummy & Baby Giraffe. I plan to finish it tonight.

More Cards

Been busy making more cards this week. Here are a couple of them. The first is another using my new Magnolia stamps. I also used Reminisce "Girly Girl" papers which have a gorgeous lustre, plus DCWV scalloped cardstock, American Craft ribbons and October Afternoon "Doodles" stamps for the crown and journal spot.
The second card was made using a Penny Black stamp, Scenic Route & CI Narratives papers, and ATB tape writer.

I made another using a Penny Black stamp, but need to just print the message in a circle using Word....and I need to work out how to do it...LOL...almost there just need to find the right font and print it..

Another Magnolia Card

Had a play again last night, and this is what I came up with. I used October Afternoon papers, DCWV cardstock, American Craft ribbon & buttons, Doodlebug buttons (stars) and one of the January ScrapAGogo journal stamps. I only had white paper to stamp on, so used watercolour pencils to create a wash over the paper to make it blend better with the papers.
I have set myself a challenge to make a card every evening...it's a great way to use up scraps of kits etc.

Another Card...

Here is another card I made last night. This time I used my new Imaginisce "chick" stamp to create a cute Easter card. I loved this little chick as soon as I saw it, and knew it would make a cute card. I have been making a real effort to use many of the masses of stamps that I own. At the moment I try to make at least one card every night, and some nights I have made as many as five....I am not sure why I am suddenly enjoying card making again, but I am, and I am just enjoying it while it lasts.

I have just finished another card using a Magnolia stamp, so will post that tomorrow after I have taken a photo in daylight.

HS:MS Chastity

Today over on Her Space : My Space we have moved from the 7 deadly sins to their opposites...7 heavenly virtues. The first being "chastity". Chastity is the embracing of moral wholesomeness and achieving purity of body and thought. Show us chastity in your space...

Well as soon as I think of Chastity, I think of religion and marriage. So today my picture shows my wedding band and my necklace. I have a feeling these are going to be harder than the sins...and they were at times very challenging...but we thrive on challenge...so bring it on!

Just one more week before half term...boy am I looking forward to not having to get up so early and having fun time with Georgia. She is already telling me that she wants to do lots of crafting and to go to gymnastics club for 2 hours on the Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday...so whom am I to disappoint her.

Off to check out everyone elses Chastity....at least I won't get the surprises I got with the Lust prompt....but you never can tell.

Magnolias

I ordered my first couple of Magnolia (Tilda) stamps last week, and here are the first couple of cards I have made. I loved this stamp as soon as I saw it...the jeans, crown and wings...what's not to love! So using the stamps plus Bo Bunny papers (from Feb 2007 ScrapaGoGo kit....my first ever DT kit) I made this cute Birthday Card.
Using the same stamp, and papers, plus a couple of blossoms (the pale turquoise one is Doodlebug) and a couple of Bo Bunny rubons I made a Valentines Card.

Can't seem to stop making cards again at the moment, after not making any for over a year.

HS:MS Pride

Today's prompt over on Her Space : My Space is "pride". Pride (or Vanity in one's self) is considered the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins and is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to give compliments to others though they may be deserving of them, and excessive love of self. Show us Pride in your space.

Ok, so it is supposed to be the most deadly of the 7 deadly sins, but a little pride is not a bad thing. I personally take pride in my appearance and while I may not be slim or beautiful I try to make the best of what I have. This photo was taken on Friday night while we were out for dinner and bowling. I am proud of many things in my life, my daughter, my husband and family, a good marriage, a nice house, a job I enjoy, friends, scrapbooking, being on the ScrapAGoGo design team, with many more fabulously talented ladies.

Today I have been cropping. Had a wonderful day and completed another project for March ScrapAGoGo kit...sadly I cannot share it with you. Finished off a class I took with Shimelle in December. I plan to journal everyday in March...even if only a few sentances. I will take some pictures in daylight tomorrow to share.

HS:MS Envy

Today's prompt over on Her Space : My Space is "envy". Envy - characterised by an insatiable desire for something that someone else has. Show us Envy in your space. I envy the innocence of childhood. Everything was so much more simple. Georgia was sat watching TV this morning when I took this picture, totally oblivious...she never even noticed me.

Been busy making more cards, have rediscovered my enjoyment of it, and have been using lots of different stamps including my new Magnolia stamps and my Autumn Leaves Zoo Animals....

Georgia has gone to a sports party as it is her boyfriends birthday tomorrow. He is having a sport party and there will be football and rounders....she is not sure about that, but no doubt she will have fun once she is there.

Tomorrow I am off to MKScrappers monthly Sunday crop....not sure what I am doing once I get there...so looks like I will be packing and planning all evening.

Even more Sugar Nellie Cards

The first card is using Lola with Gift Creative Imaginations Christine Adolph papers and ATB tape writer and says "Just for you on your birthday".
The second is Lola with Flowers, using the same papers as the first card and the ATB tape writer. The words on this card are "If friends were flowers i'd pick you".
The third card is using the Duck in Boots stamp and Blonde Moments Spring Fling papers, ribbons, buttons a random blossom and ATB tape writer again. The words on this one are Happy Easter.
The final card is again using the Lola with Flowers, Blonde Moments Spring Fling papers, ribbons & buttons a random blossom and ATB tape writer. The words on this one are simply "Happy Birthday".

I received two Tilda stamps today too, and have already stamped and coloured them...so will make cards with them tomorrow.

HS:MS Wrath

Today's prompt over on Her Space : My Space is "wrath". Wrath - inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. These feelings can be manifest as vehement denial of the truth, impatience with procedure of law, and a desire to seek revenge.' Show us Wrath in your space. Ok so it really makes me angry that people refuse to recycle when there local council provide a service. Now I know you can't recycle everything, but if everyone tried to do a little, then that would make a huge difference. We have a compost bin, and have about 50/5o recycling to rubbish.

More Sugar Nellie Cards

Don't know what has come over me, but I have been making more cards. Here are 4 more done with my new Lola & Simon stamps, I did these last night.

The first is a Valentines card using the Lola & Simon stamp and Scenic Route Loveland papers and embellies, plus a few buttons from my stash and my ATB tape write for the words.

The next is a Birthday Card using the Lola with flowers stamp, Paper Mania papers, a few buttons from my stash and the ATB tape writer for the words.

I also made another very similar, but using Lola with a Bird stamp and green & pink Paper Mania papers, plus another Thank You Card almost identical to yesterdays...apart from I found my watercolour pencils, so the colour match to the papers is much better.

This afternoon I have made another three, an Easter Card using the Sugar Nellie Duck Stamp, and a couple more birthday ones. I will take pictures tomorrow and post them. I showed them to a couple of the Mums at the school and they suggested that I take a stall at the forthcoming "Pamper Evening" and sell them...not sure if I will....have decided to think about it over the weekend. If I go ahead and do it, I will take a stall with Lynsey and we can both make stock to sell...which will ease the pressure....we will even make mini books and sell those too.

Anyway, back to the cards.
