Anyone for Anya? #2 "A Sketch"
As I mentioned earlier in the week I was asked by DawnyP to join the Anyone for Anya? Design Team, and this week is my first challenge. Dawny has created a fab sketch for you all to follow, you can find it HERE. So for my card I chose one of the Rain Snow Shine Anya's and coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin = E00/E000/E11/R20
Hair = C1/C3/C5/C7/C9
Clothes = R20/R22R59
Boots = C1/C3/C5/C7
To make the fur and muff look furry I have used some Liquid Pearls in a white colour...and I love the effect. The papers are all October Afternoon "Good Cheer" and I have layered them with some DCWV cardstock. Finally I added some SEI ribbon a glittery foam snowflake that I got from Hobbycraft, a heart pin and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards that I have layered with my SU oval and scalloped oval punches.
I am so pleased to have joined the Anyone For Anya? DT, and I do hope you will play along with us this week....remember you don't need to use Anya, you can use any of The Greeting Farm stamps....if you are in the UK there are now plenty

We are away!!!
This morning we left my Dad's in Surrey for a weeks holiday in Looe, Cornwall. After a 6am start and a stop for brekkie, we finally arrived at 11.30 this morning. We have bought my Dad with us and also my Niece Hannah. Georgia & Hannah seem to want to do everything in the first day/evening....although they crashed out this evening just after 9.3opm.
When we arrived at Looe Bay caravan park we found out that our booking had been upgraded and we have been given a newer and much nicer caravan (double glazed and central heating to name a few extras) and to be honest with the look of the weather forecast it looks like we may well be needing it...LOL
Last year we were unable to use our 3G mobile broadband dongle, but I decided to bring it again this year just incase...and would you believe it because we are at the back of the site and slightly higher with no trees...I can use it....YAY ME. So here I am blogging as the girls are sleeping and the men are in the bar drinking beer....a womans work is never done.
So I do have a very limited stash with me in the caravan (I couldn't not have something to colour...LOL) so may well make something during the week, although I will have things to show you tomorrow, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday....I was super busy before I left...LOL
I will be back tomorrow to show you my first Anyone for Anya? DT card....so until then...night night.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge "Teen Terrors!"
This week over on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog our theme is "Teen Terrors!". We want to see your teen theme ATC's. Now most of the other DT members had opted for boy terrors...so I decided to take the girl terror option. I decided to use one of the new Greeting Farm Miss Anya's (Dressy Set), and also the Magnolia "brickwall" stamp. I have coloured all the images with my Copics and added some Stickles Glitter Glue in "black diamond. The sentiment was done using my ATB tape writer.
I will have some more news to share with you later today, and don't forget to check out my Blog Candy, which will end this evening at 11.59pm BST.
Have a fab day....even if like me you have a sky full of grey!

Anyone for Anya's #1 "Sugar & Spice"
This week is the first challenge over on Anyone for Anya's, and it will come as no surprise that I have joined in....I think I own most of the Anya stamps...with a few exception. I remember back when I first saw them in September 2008...all new and shiny. I placed my first order and eagerly awaited their arrival from the US...and almost a year later and everyone else has fallen in love and they are everywhere...and I still love them.
So back to the challenge, Dawny and the team have set a theme of "Sugar & Spice". So for my card I used one of the new Dressy Miss Anya's and she has been coloured with Copics. The cute papers are also all by The Greeting Farm, and I used my Martha Stewart Valentine Lace border punch to create the heart edge. I finally added a sentiment by Craftwork Cards layered using my SU oval and scalloped oval punches, and I used my Nestabilities to layer Miss Anya...all finished off with a few blossoms from my stash held with spacers and brads.
I have also borrowed the lovely sketch #65 provided over on Sketch Saturday this week....I love a good sketch.
Thanks to both the DT of Anyone for Anya's and Sketch Saturday for the inspiration.

Friday Sketchers #66
Here is a card I made last night using this weeks sketch over on Friday Sketchers. The main image is another of the cute new Stamping Bella "Ketto" range, this one is called "Phoebe Ketto". I have coloured her with my Copics and layered her using my Nestabilities. The patterned papers are all from the DCWV "The Green Stack" and I have layered them with Bazzill cardstock. I have also added some Anita's ribbon and various flowers (inc some from wildorchidcrafts.co.uk) from my stash and all finished off with a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.
Thanks to the Friday Sketchers for their fab inspiration and also to the super talented Carole for her sketch.

Stamping Bella Ketto Stamps
I got these super cute Stamping Bella stamps on Friday from Stampeze...via Marlene who went and collected them for me...thanks Hun. They are so cute and diddy, that I couldn't resist inking them up and making a card.
I have used "Charlotte Ketto" and I coloured her (carefully, she is small) with my Copics and cut and layered using my Nestabilities. I have used some yummy MME "Bloom & Grow" papers layered with Coredinations cardstock. I also added a scrap of ribbon, a pin and some flowers held with a spacer and Doodlebug sugar coated brad all from my stash. The sentiment has been created using a die-cut from Craftwork Cards layered up using my oval and scalloped oval punches from Stampin' Up. Georgia thinks this stamp looks like her...and I even coloured her with "yellow" (blonde) hair...just like Georgia.
Still working on moving my stash back into my Craft Room. Progress is slow and steady, but progress is being made and I am tidying the space up as I go....fingers crossed it will be finished by Tuesday/Wednesday (before I am on holiday).

Look at these cuties that I just ordered from All That Scraps... aren't they adorable. I especially love the girl in hair rollers and holding a mug of coffee. The set are called Kiki La Rue, and are a limited edition....so if you like them, grab them while you can.

I am still sorting my craft room...and slowly getting there, will have lots to get rid of, some for sale and some as giveaways. I am also going to do a Blog Candy while I am on holiday....I have some Greeting Farm Anya stamps...maybe even a set of Miss Anya's and a Wild Sprout too!!!!

Basic Grey Challenge #1
Here is a card I made using the sketch over on the newly relaunched Basic Grey Challenges. For my card I decided to use the new "June Big" papers layered with some midnight blue (not it's proper colour name) Bazzill. I used one of my Gorjuss Girls by Sugar Nellie which has been coloured with my Copics. I also used some random ribbon and flowers, with the centre flower coming from Wild Orchid Crafts, and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards....I really love the foiled die-cut sentiments...so classy.
Last night my friend Lyns and I went to the cinema to see "The Ugly Truth" with Gerard Butler & Katherine Heigl, and it was fab, I loved it...definately one I will buy when it comes out on DVD....I even impressed Lyns by recognising Natasha Beddingfield's voice in one of the tracks in the film....we had to stay to watch the credits to see if I was right...LOL Hmmmm Gerard Butler was yummy, and so funny...strange accent but I can forgive him....he is a Brit.
Next week on Orange Wednesday we are going to see "The Proposal" starring Sandra Bullock (one of my fave Actresses).

I have added some ribbon from my stash and also some bling and created a sentiment in a tag using my punch and one of the Magnolia sentiment stamps. This week over on the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog our theme is "Cheers!", we want to see your ATC's with a drinks theme. For my ATC, I decided to use an acetate base. The tartan paper is from the Basic Grey "June Bug" 6x6 paper pad, and the images are by hAnglar & stAnglar, coloured with Copics. All I added was some bling and wording done with my ATB tape writer.
Come over and join us this week...we have two new DT members too.

Dad's Birthday
Here is a card I made for my Dad's birthday (which was yesterday). I have used a stamp by Funstamps coloured with Copics. The papers are by Basic Grey "Granola". I kept it pretty simple by just adding some string and a few buttons from my stash, and finally finished with a sentiment by Craftwork Cards layered onto an oval and scalloped ival punched with my SU punches and attached using 3d foam. Mens cards are always so hard....it isn't so bad if they have a hobby, and you have a stamp for said hobby...Dad's hobbies don't have stamps...LOL He has always loved a pint....so that is why I think I bought this stamp many years ago...and I think I used it for the first time this year.
We took Dad out for dinner to celebrate and watched him in the garden back at my Sisters with his two grandaughters fussing over him, collecting this kisses from their cards....LOL...he did the same to Georgia back in May when he put kisses in her card and wanted to collect them.

The Sugar Bowl #17 Judy's Sketch
Here is a card I made last night using the sketch over on The Sugar Bowl, provided by Judy. For my card I used the free Sugar Nellie stamp that was on Craft Stamper back in June....how cute is that owl. I have coloured him with Copics using the following colours...
Beak - Y38
Hearts - R46
Feathers - E31/E33/E35
Feet - E29
The papers are all by DCWV "The Green Stack" and I have layered them up and sanded the edges. The flowers are also handmade using scraps of the paper punched into circles, screwed up, and sanded...then to finish I added a button to the centre of each of them. I have also layered the main image using my oval nestabilities, and mounted the owl on 3d foam. Finally I added a sentiment by Craftwork Cards and layered it with my SU oval & scalloped oval punches and popped it onto 3d foam too.
Thanks Judy for a lovely sketch to work with, and to The Sugar Bowl DT for their fab inspiration.

Sketch Saturday #64
I am on a roll today, here is a card I made using this weeks sketch over on Sketch Saturday. The main images are by Darkroom Door stamps and I coloured them with my Copics (well it was only one colour...LOL). I created the word background using the stamps in the tin. The background paper is by Rusty Pickle "Rock Star" and I used some Bazzill cardstock which I ran through my BigShot using a Cuttlebug embossing folder....I then inked it to grunge it up a bit. I also used my Nestabilities to cut the star shape. I have popped the guitar onto 3d foam to add some dimension, and added a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.
This card was made to order for my friend Lynsey...infact she had already written in the card black before I made the card...she trusted me, and now I have posted it for her.... I am pleased with the final card, as it is very difficult to make male cards, especially when they are not men who have hobbies.
Thanks to the DT over on Sketch Saturday for their fabby inspiration.

Friday Sketchers #65 & Copic Colour Challenge #26
This week over on Friday Sketchers, Beatrix of Germany has provided the sketch. For my card I have used one of my new CC Designs stamps coloured using Copics...I have used the colours in this weeks challenge over on Copic Colour Challenge, R59 Cardinal, BG09 Blue Green & G99 Olive. The papers are October Afternoon "Detours" and I have layered them with Bazzill & DCWV cardstock. For the flowers I cut them from the paper and added a gem to their centres, and the leaves are made with my Woodware punch. I have finished off by adding a couple of buttons from my stash and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.
Thanks Beatrix for the sketch and to both DT's for their inspiration.
I am still busy today in my Craft Room trying to get it sorted....It will take me while to get it completely done as I need to be more ruthless about what I want to keep.....so keep watching for some giveaways....

Today has been.....
Operation Clean Up My Craft Room... For almost a year my Office/Craft Room has become a dumping ground for anything anyone couldn't find a home for....so much so that I was unable to craft in there....so my stash (or as DH calls it.....Cr*p) has been slowly making it's way downstairs and never making it's way back up there. So today I decided that enough was enough and I am reclaiming my space. Now this is no easy task and it always looks so much worse before it gets better, at the moment I have just broken the back of so much worse.
Georgia is in her element though as she has inherited enough craft materials to keep her busy for the next couple of years....LOL. I am hoping that tomorrow will get things back to useable, and then I will just be sorting what I know I will use from things I might not use...the never pile is what I gave Georgia....LOL
I think I will certainly have some wooden stamps to sell, plus a Making Memories Toolkit, Cuttlebug, Quickutz Red Handle, and a Quickutz Revolution. I will need to make some money to buy me some more storage solutions....LOL, although finally I have managed to fit some cubes from Storage 4 Crafts that I was given by a lovely lady on UKScrappers that I bought some of the trollies that hold Artbins from....so at least that saved me some cash....I can feel a trip to Ikea coming on...I need something to from hang my punches on the wall, and I know just the products (thanks to Marlene), and another chair and a new blind for the window.
Georgia is in her element though as she has inherited enough craft materials to keep her busy for the next couple of years....LOL. The Sugar Bowl #10 Marlene's Sketch
There is a fab sketch by Marlene over on The Sugar Bowl...with the added option of "Doodlebug". For my card I have used one of last years Elisabeth Bell Christmas Stamps coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E00/E11/R20
Hair - E25/E47
Clothing - R20/R22/YG95
The papers I have used are all by October Afternoon "Good Cheer"...I love October Afternoon...just incase you hadn't guessed. I have used my circle Nesties to cut out and layer the main image and added dimension to the snowflakes by using Liquid Pearls in white opal. Finally to fit in with the "option" I have added some Doodlebug buttons attached with Karen Fosters Scrappers Floss, and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.
Thanks to Maz, and the DT for their stunning work....go check the blog out....The Sugar Bowl.

Sketch Saturday #62 by Sandra
This weeks sketch over on Sketch Saturday was provided by Sandra...so in the nick of time I made this card....I was combining it with the theme on Just Magnolia (Distressing) but I didn't upload it in time....hey ho...LOL, although it can also be entered into A Spoon Full of Sugar (Floral Fantasy)...
For my card I have used the new Magnolia papers together with the new strawberry stamp and an older Tilda. These papers are so cute and fruity...and a nice weight too. I have coloured the images with my Copics, I have also added some Kanban pearls, a sentiment by Craftwork Cards layered using my SU punches. Finally I added flowers (from my stash..inc a rose from wild orchid) and some swirls cut with my EK Success punch.
Thanks to the DT's of all three challenge blogs.....stunning work from all of them...as always.
