Craftin' with the Kids...

Morning all, it's a beautiful morning here in my part of the UK...hope it is for you too.

Yesterday my daughter Georgia and I did a spot of crafting together using some of the Squiggle digi images. I love how quick and simple they are to use, and I can print a whole page of images for her to sit and colour...

So here are our cards...
Caz
I have used the Home Sweet Home digi image, and what an absolute bargain it is at just 99p and it drops straight into your inbox ready to be printed...no waiting for the pesky postman. I have made a key shaped card using a leaflet I received at the NEC craft show last month as a template to draw around. So that it would stand up I have attached it to an acetate card. I have coloured the house with my Copics using the following colours...
House - BG10/BG72/R17/YG03/E51/E47
The papers are all Crate Paper "Season" collection and I have used a rainbow and cloud stickers from the same range. I have added a sentiment by Craftwork Cards, and the rest of the sentiment has been done using my ATB tape writer. Apart from that all I added was a heart pin, a red dotted ribbon bow and the keyring bit is my Making Memories (been floating around my stash for a couple of years).

Georgia
Georgia has used the Fairy Gifts digi which we have printed out quite large. We used windows to print and printed 4 images on a sheet of A4...so she is approx A6 in size. Georgia has coloured with her Promarkers and added bling to fairy's crown....a girl needs to sparkle you know! She also made the flowers herself with a die I bought at the Ally Pally show this past weekend from Little Claire Designs. Basically it is like you are making a quilling flower but the edges are a little ruffled with makes the roses look so much more interesting.

Don't forget the April competition to be in with a chance of winning all those yummy goodies you just need to make a card with the sketch featuring a Squiggle image...details are HERE.

Well I am off now, got to make the most of the glorious sunshine...

Georgia's Creations

Just a quick post to show you the fabulous cards that Georgia has made this week. Georgia is only 6 (7 in May) and her colouring is amazing. For Christmas her Nana & Pops (David's Parents) got her a pack of the ProMarkers....and she loves them and treats them like a prized possesion. She had seen me use my Cuttlebug to punch some swirls, so decided that she needed some on her card. I cut the images out on the top card and also stamped the sentiment, but she designed her layout without any help. The second card is all her own work....I did nothing.
I am pretty impressed...are you?

Happy Birthday David/Daddy

Today is my Hubby's 41st Birthday and Georgia and I spent Wednesday afternoon finishing his cards. This is the one Georgia made...how fab is it?

She chose the papers, I cut them. She coloured and blended her images, and I cut them out for her. I think she did an amazing job and her Daddy loved it.

And here is mine, I used no stamps on my card for a change. I had this fab Sassafra Lass ""Serendipity Robots" paper and decided to use it for Hubby's card...with a few added Doodlebug letter stickers.

For his Birthday we bought him a Nikon Battery Grip for his D200...boy did that take some tracking down as now the camera is older nobody is stocking all the accessories...we got the last one at Camera Box and it arrived yesterday in perfect time.

So I am going to pop to Asda after work and get him a Birthday card, ad something nice and easy for dinner.....I say nice and easy meaning I will cook...think that will make it about half a dozen times I have cooked so far this year...don't ya just love men that can cook!

Have a fab day everyone.

A Card from Georgia...

Yesterday while I was busy crafting Georgia insisted that I let her have a couple of images of my new Sarah Kay stamps. So after nicely colouring the image with her new Stabilo pencils (£5.59 from HobbyCraft). The pencils were a present from David & I for winning the colouring competition and getting us a meal out today,. She always watches me make cards and asks how I did things and now she loves to blend with Sansador and paper stumps.....I love it when she says Sansador, it sounds soooo cute. At school when she is colouring she tells the other kids and the TA (teaching assistant) that at home with Mummy she blends with Sansador....they have no idea what she is talking about, and usually ask me...LOL
The card is to give to Georgia's teacher at the end of the school year. Georgia actually told me what she wanted to put on the front and I found some stickers I had left from my May 2008 ScrapaGoGo Kit (they are by Jenny Bowlin). We had to adapt a couple of them as I ran out of t's, w's and o's...the t is made from an "l", the W is an upside down M, and a couple of the o's are made from c's.
