I am suffering the after effects of a nasty headache this morning...heads feels fragile...but still I have to go off to work in a while.
I am so glad it's Friday...looking forward to a quiet weekend of crafting and playing in the garden with Georgia as David is working away in Liverpool for the third weekend in a row. Just four weeks left of school, and then we will be able to go up to Liverpool for the weekend with him. Georgia has a Beatles concert at school and has learnt the words to about half a dozen of their songs which they are performing in a concert at the school on the 10th July. On Monday we are tie-dying t-shirts for all the kids to wear...I am going into school to help and am looking forward to it. I have even promised Georgia a trip to The Beatles Museum when we go to Liverpool, which she is very excited about.

Be sure to go over to SJ's Little Musing blog anf download Derek.

Cute Card Thursday - Reuse, Renew, Recycle!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge blog our theme is Reuse, Renew, Recycle!. We want to see you use/reuse things that you have around the house, be it ribbon from a box of chocolates or buttons from old clothing, bits from store bought cards you have received, the embroidered patches from jeans...or even the pocket from a pair of jeans....the ideas are endless. We are sponsored this week by The Stamp Shoppe.

So for my card I used a Hello Kitty chipboard piece that came off a card Georgia got for her 6th (I think) birthday...so I have had it hanging around for a couple of years...LOL, and also the ric rac was from some jeans she had...probably about the same time. The papers are by SandyLion and I have had them a few years....got them because Georgia loved Hello Kitty...and then never used them...what am I like.

So there it is, a card with no colouring for me. I have also used the sketch this week over on Daring Cardmakers, so will be entering it there. They have a fab prize on offer this week from Nikki Sivilis, Scrapbooker and Sarah's Cards.

Be sure to come back later, as I will have my final card of the day for Pixie Dust Studios challenge.

Donna Downey DSLR Camera Bag

I got one of these a month ago, and I have been working up the courage to decorate it. I was a little nervous as the bag is not instock anywhere in the UK, and I had to get it specially ordered by Lorraine at Scrap Revolution....cost me £44 ($66) plus postage, so I couldn't afford to make a mistake. I had been collecting together the items I wanted to use, some based on a bag Donna Downey had done herself and was displayed in her new shop. So I ordered a few things and the rest I have done using what I had here already.

I have used the following products...
Handle - Websters Pages "Bloomers" in aqua
Lid - Prima Volia!, Prima Cancan Spotlight, Prima Trellis Roses Fontaine in Aqua
Base - Prima "Donna Downey" printed canvas, Prima Trellis Roses Fontaine in Aqua, Cherry Blossoms & Small Roses from Creative Treasures, lace from Creative Treasures, Prima "Donna Downey" iron on scroll, Making Memories mini alpha's, Prima "Donna Downey" canvas word (Dream) a couple of spotted bows from Craft Fairy, a coupld of manilla tags that were from Paper Chase and a heart pin also from Creative Treasures.

Here is a close up of the front of the bag...

I am really pleased with how it turned out, and today it is getting it's first outing (only finished it off late last night/early hours of this morning).

Anyone for Anya? - Fabulous Flowers!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? challenge blog our theme is "fabulous flowers". We want to see your floral creations...they can be shop bought, handmade...whatever takes your fancy. For my card I have made some tissue paper flowers.

The main image is called "Madelynn" and is available HERE from Dies to Die For. She has been coloured with Copics (also available HERE from Dies to Die For) using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - Y11/Y15/YG11/YG13/R27/R29
The papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Hello Sunshine" and I have added a Melissa Frances rubon the the image. I made the flowers using tissue paper circles, scrunched up and held in place with a brad....and then each of the eight layers was squashed into the middle, once that is done they just need to be teased out...and stuck on. I have also added a bling swirl using my Bazzill Bling template.

I have also used the sketch over on Sketch Saturday this week, so be sure to pop over there and take a look at the DT's beautiful creations.

I am pleased to say that the coloured images Tracy is showing (as above) are coloured by MOI... Miss Evie Patches is my fave of the two as I love her hair and the neckerchief...And she looks a little like my Georgia.

So rush on over to the Squiggle Stamps store and get these two cuties...

Pixie Dust Studios - The Fair - First Sneak Peek!!

Squiggle Stamps - Kids Gift Set!

I have a little project to share with you all... I have been busy making these little gift bags using a cheap little notepad from Asda, a pack of cheap little pencils from Asda, and propelling pencil from Asda, and a paperclip, from guess where....ASDA, and here ends my advertisement for Asda...LOL
I have taken a piece of patterned paper and covered the notepad and also I took the cardboard bit out of the pack of pencils and replaced it with some more patterned paper. After that I have simply added a clip and pencil....and of course the cute Squiggle "Hey Dude" image available HERE as a stamp, and HERE as a digi image. I have coloured the image with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E47
Clothing - R37/Y21/Y32/B93/B95/B97
Skateboard - Y21/Y32/G000/G00/C5/C7
The papers are all Pink Paislee "365 Degrees".

Here is a picture of the back of the pack showing the pencils.
I intend to sell these on a stall that I am having at Georgia's school fayre.....I am a little nervous as I always worry that people will not like my cards and other bits and I will stand there all alone and sell nothing, nada, zip....ok....breathe...LOL
