Some Odd Girl - Paper Piecing Challenge!

This week over on the Some Odd Girl Challenge Blog our theme is Paper Piecing...we want to see your cards that feature some.

For my card I have used Photo Kaylee and I have paper pieced her skirt and top...all the other parts have been coloured with Copics using the following colours...

Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20

Eyes - B21/B23/B66

Hair - E47/E49

Clothing - YG95/E47

The papers are all My Minds Eye which I have layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock.

I have used my Sizzix Filmstrip die behind the main image, and also some Tim Holtz filmstrip ribbon. The little photos are one of the accessory stamps that come with Photo Kaylee, along with the Smile sentiment.

Long time no post....

So sorry for being such an awful blogger....no update for almost 2 weeks....I think that may well be a record for me. Life here is a little hectic as we have been frantically trying to finish off the kitchen. We are now fully tiled, and are just on the finishing touches to the painting. We will be finished by the end of the week....

Some Odd Girl Challenge - Complimentary Colour Challenge!

This week over on the Some Odd Girl Challenge Blog our chalenge is to use Complementary Colours.

Use the wheel below to select two colours that are opposite each other...ie. Blue & Orange or Blue-Green & Red-Orange.

For my card I have used one of the new images released on Monday...he is called Rockin' Kody which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

Hair - E47/E49

Clothing - B93/B95/B97/YR04/R05

Guitar - 100/C0/C2

The papers are some very old Junkitz Cousins ones that I had left over from another project many many moons ago. I had added some stud bling and used my Nesties to cut the stars.

Lili of the Valley Challenge - Thank You!

This week over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog our theme is "Thank You". Now I know this is a little early as school isn't even back yet...or a little late as they are already on holiday....but it doesn't hurt to be prepared...

For my card I have used Back to School Girl....isn't she adorable. I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...

Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20

Hair - E53

Clothing - R37/R39/E37/E39/E40/B39

The papers are all October Afternoon School House and I have added some Bazzill cardstock to the base. The sentiments are Craftwork Cards and Create with TLC....and I have finished off with some American Craft satin ribbon, pearl bling and a couple of heart pins (the navy ones is a white one coloured with a Sharpie pen).

The Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog DT are taking a little break, so this challenge will be live until August 31st...giving you all plenty of time to take part.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Thank You Teacher!

 

This week over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog our theme is a Teacher Thank You card...in the US the kids are either about to go back or back at school...here in the UK it is week 3 of 6.

For my card I have used SchoolGirl & SchoolBoy which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20

Hair - (Her) E18/E19 (Him) E50/E51/E53

Clothing - (Her) BG32/Y32 (Him) B93/B95/B97/G21/Y32/E47/E49/YR04

Books - R59/E57/E42

The papers are all Crate Papers School Spirit which I have layered with some Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I have added some Stampin' Up ribbon, and a couple of heart pins (I coloured the orange one with a Sharpie), and a sentiment by Create with TLC.

I am so pleased to announce that Kristy has let me stay on the DT for another term...which makes my heart happy as I adore these images.

Sorry I have not been updating here this past couple of weeks. We have had/are having a new kitchen fitted and life is upside down right now. Slowly things are returning to normal, but I never realised how much stuff I had to put away in the new kitchen...and so many decisions on where to put things....I will come back with pics of it, but not until the tiling has been done to the floor and walls....floor is due to go down on Sunday....YAY!
