Cute Card Thursday Challenge 25 - In the water

This weeks challenge over on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog is "In the water". So I have made a larger A5 card this week, so that I could fit the scene on. I have used Tilda and the Jetty from the Summer Stamp Club. The Reeds were from the Sea & Summer 2008 collection. I have coloured all the images with my ProMarkers, and added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair and the water. The papers are Scenic Route "Grafton" the ribbon is American Craft, the flowers are by Prima. The spacers in the flowers were a gift from Marlene (my crafting bud...thanks Hun), but she does sell them in her eBay shop. The little tags were from Staples. All the sentiments are by Hero Arts.

I do love this challenge blog, it is one of my faves as you can use any stamps. Click on the link over on the right and see...the DT always produce some amazing cards and projects.

Cupcake Tilda Card

After seeing the gorgeous card that t-cake made with this stamp, I just had to ink mine up and create one.

In addition to Cupcake Tilda I have used a selection of Hero Arts sentiment stamps and cupcake. The papers are all PaperMania "Sweet Nothings". The blossoms are by Prima with some random buttons from my stash. I have coloured all the images with my ProMarkers and added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to Tilda's hair, wings and the swirls on her dress...plus the sprinkles on the large cupcake. I also added some Stickles around the buttons and onto the flowers....and they look so sparkly.

Papertake Weekly Challenge "A Stitch in Time"

Finally here is my card for this weeks challenge over on Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is "A stitch in time", the stitching can be real or faux....this week has been a bit frantic, so I opted for faux. The image is the new Magnolia "So Heavenly", and they have been coloured with my ProMarkers. The papers are My Minds Eye, and are the remains of the August 2008 ScrapaGoGo kit. For Tilda's wings I have added silver Stickles....and they look bling-tastic.

Scrapbook Trends August 2008 Issue...

Well, for those of you who cannot get, don't know, or haven't seen, here are the two pages in the magazine that featured my mini book...

I have left the images nice and big, so if you click on them, you can see bigger pictures and even read the text....if you feel like it.
Well it is almost the end of the week again, and I am busy as always juggling work and crafting. I am just finishing of my ScrapaGoGo September DT work...almost there. Next week is a busy one her too as we are having out=r new bathroom fitted. Our bathroom is a shoebox, in fact the bath was fitted and the wall built around it, and the bathroom showroom owner could reach his arms out and touch both walls...LOL So we are ditching the bath and having a luxury shower instead....yay. So I will be home all week, looking after Georgia and working from home when I can.

Trying out a new look...

So, I after looking at so many blogs that have had a facelift recently, I thought I would try a new look for my blog.....You Like?, leave me a comment and let me know.

Today I collected some parcels from the PO that they tried to deliver while I was on holiday...well my mini book was back from being published in Scrapbook Trends (August 2008 issue)....it's so nice to get it back (especially when I had worked out how much it cost to make). Well I also got my goodies...a pack of papers and stickers by Scenic Route "Grafton Collection" and pack of SEI letter stickers and 2 packs of Scenic Route chipboard "Crowns" and "Birds". Ironic really as over the weekend I ordered a few sheets of some of those papers....now if only I had not been on holiday I wouldn't have missed the delivery, therefore I would not have needed to place the order...LOL...oh well. I also got some new stamps from Alota Stamps...so I have been busy inking them up today. Last night I ordered my first set of Nestabilities from http://www.ucutathome.com/, well I did promise myself that I would order them after my holiday...and I am back...LOL.

I have included a picture of the outside of the mini book published in Scrapbook Trends, but will scan the article and add it this evening.

Sarah Kay Challenge WK8 Sketch

The challenge for this week over on Sarah Kay Challenge Blog is a sketch. I had this image given to me in a swap...can't remember who with though. The papers and chipboard buttons are Crate Paper "Sweet Branch" and the stickers (letters and journal block) are both by American Crafts. All the elements of the card, with the exception of the image were part of the August ScrapaGoGo Kit....and lush it was too.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 11 "No Cards Allowed"

The challenge this week over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog is "No Cards Allowed". You can make just about anything as long as it is not a card, and it contains at least one Penny Black stamp. Now I am running out of different Penny Black images, but thanks to Annie I have a couple more....I even pinched this rabbit image that she gave to Georgia....but then she is getting the bookmark, so she is happy.

The other items used are Heidi Grace "Baby" papers with a small piece of ribbon from my stash. The ric rac is from August 2008 ScrapaGoGo kit, and the words are done with my ATB (Around the Block) Tape Writer. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers....I really do love these pens....and the speed with which I can get the colouring done is fab.

We're Home and Friday Sketchers

Well after an epic 5 hour journey back to Dad's in Surrey and then another 1.5 hours back to Milton Keynes arriving at 8.15pm last night, having left Looe at 1.15pm. Boy were we knackered, we just emptied the car and left it all in the hallway for the morning.

So now that I am home again and reunited with my stash, with the washing machine on meltdown trying to catch up with everything...I had a little time to catch up with this weekends challenges. While I was away my new stamps arrived from Magnolia...so that was a nice welcome home. As usual I can hardly wait to stamp them up, and once the washing machine was on the go, I got the chance to play. I have used Travelling Tilda & Suitcase stamps both by Magnolia. All the papers and stickers are Making Memories "Passport". I have coloured Tilda with my ProMarkers and put Tilda onto 3D foam pads.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 23 "Bright Colours"

This week the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday is "Bright Colours". So despite having the first sunny day here since we arrived on Saturday, I have still managed to whip this card up using stamped images that I bought with me. For this card I have used one of my new Alota stamps...it looks like this pair are having fun playing dress up. The papers are Autumn Leaves, and I cannot for the life of me remember what range they are from....you can almost guarantee that as soon as I have finished this post and have logged off and gone back to the caravan.....the range with suddenly just pop into my head. The other items are Prima flowers, Autumn Leaves stamps (ticket) and ChatterBox "Artsy.licious" , Doodlebug rub-ons and some random bling from my stash. So this is the last of my "caravan creations"...LOL.

Today I had the opportunity to meet up with the lovely Annie (DT member of Cute Card Thursday and Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blogs), we had a lovely chat over coffee in Looe, and all too quickly it was time to say goodbye as her Hubby was ready to leave, and my tribe were finished crabbing and ready to take advantage of the sun and head down to the beach....let's hope we can do it again next year...but for longer next time. Georgia and I both came away with a lovely card and a stack of stamped images....Georgia had even won a set of mini stamps for taking part in the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge....she was a happy bunny.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch 9 by Katharina

This weeks sketch was another corker by Katharina. and her ninth. So here is my card, it feels like a little cheat as I never used any stamps. Instead I cut an image from one of the sheets of Sassafras Lass paper that I used. The only other thing I added was a sticker from the same company and range and also some Doodlebug rub-ons for the Happy Birthday.
It's not bad considering I am away on holiday, and crafting with limited supplies in a caravan....

Tilda & Co Challenge 32 - Cold as Ice

This weeks challenge over on Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is "Cold as Ice". Well the weather is cold....but not that cold.

So with my limited supplies and stamped Magnolia images in the caravan...here is my best attempt at this weeks challenge. I have used Chic Tilda and coloured her in shades of blue with my ProMarkers.....does she look cold? The papers are CI Narratives by Karen Russell. I have added Artsy.licious ribbon by ChatterBox, the buttons are also from the same range. Finally I added a snowflake charm that I pinched from a charm hanging from my tool tote...LOL With a little stickles added to the swirl...I was done.

Weather wet for part of the day here in Looe again, so we spent a couple of hours in "Paint-a-Pot" in Looe...I have painted a small plant pot that I will use to store some crafting tools, and Georgia has done a cereal bowl and a new larger mug, as her current one painted 3 years ago is a little small.

Tomorrow I am meeting the lovely Annie for a coffee in Looe....really looking forward to putting a name to a blog...LOL

Sarah Kay Challenge "How Charmin'"

This week over on Sarah Kay Challenge Blog they have challenged us to use charms on our projects. Now in a caravan over 200 miles from home with limited stash....I was concerned. I made a card, but where could I find a charm. After some searching I found this cute gel butterfly that is part of a "Hello Kitty" key ring, and it match perfectly to my finished card....it was meant to be...LOL

So the rest of the items used are K&Co "Berry Sweet", and I have added a few Kaiser pearl bling, finally I added a random button that was lurking in the bottom of my small stash bag.

Not too bad considering my very limited supplies this week. It is fun sitting in the caravan when Georgia has dragged me back to the caravan as she is tired and wants to go to bed (usually between 10 and 10.30pm) and then Dad & David stroll in sometime after 11pm...when they are bored...or cannot take anymore of the cabaret...LOL

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 10 "Ribbons"

This weeks challenge over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is "Ribbons". Now even though I am away on my holidays, I have still managed to take part.....only had one lot of ribbons with me, but thankfully they matched some papers that I had with me.
For the card I have used a Penny Black image that I stamped when I visited with Marlene back in July...thanks Hun. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers and inked the edge of the white cardstock with chalk inks. The papers I used are October Afternoon "Detours" and the lush ribbons and buttons were both from Chatterbox "Artsy.licious".
The weather on Sunday was fine in the morning...not exactly tropical, but dry and warm enough to enjoy some time making sandcastles. So we headed back to the Holiday Park at about 2.30pm and not long after it tipped down, and carried on all through the night...
On Monday I met up with one of my oldest friends. We grew up across the road from each other. I was best friends with her brother and we were always in each others houses. So Wendy arrived with her daughter Becky at 12pm, and we had a lovely afternoon catching up, having lunch and the girls managed to part us with lots of cash to spend in the amusements. So after a lovely afternoon Wendy & Becky had to leave at 4pm as they were going on holiday the following morning....back to where we had just come from, so that they could visit friends and family...how ironic is that!!! We are going to book again before we leave, so next time we will make sure we give them the dates so that they are around.
So today once the rain stopped for a while (12pm) we went back down into Looe for another visit to the beach. On the way my Dad treated Georgia to a wetsuit so that she can play on the beach withoug freezing to death...LOL
So tonight we will stay on site and see what the clubhouse has to offer...well I know there is Bingo....maybe I will win this time....fingers crossed.

Hello from almost sunny Looe (Cornwall) and a card...

Well we arrived in Looe in the rain....again, I don't think I have ever crossed the Tamar Bridge when it wasn't raining...LOL. So we are now settled in, but sadly my 3 Mobile Internet dongle doesn't seem to be able to connect...so I have splashed out and paid £20 for a weeks access on the holiday site with Spectrum...yay. After all the rain yesterday we have been very lucky today and the predicted rain for this afternoon has still not shown up, so we spent the morning on the beach and David & Georgia are now in the swimming pool....so peace and quiet for me as I have left my Dad in the bar with a beer watching the football...seems like half the men are in there...beer in hand and cheering.

So, on to the card. I have done a card for Friday Sketchers I have used my new Manga/Anime stamp again, as I just love it, and also think it is a fab stamp for teenager cards. I seem to have a little crafting time when I take Georgia back to bed, and leave the men in the bar...so tonight I am planning on another card....or maybe some more work on my holiday mini book (or not so mini book).
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying some quality crafting time.

New Manga/Anime style stamps exclusive to DewDrop Crafts

As soon as I saw these stamps over on UKScrappers, I just had to order them...they are so lovely, and very unlike any others on the market at the moment. I really do hope they have more designs on the way...cause I NEED more.

I have used as mentioned the DewDrop Crafts stamp and coloured her with my ProMarkers for that Manga/Anime looke...well I hope I did the stamps and style justice. The Papers are My Minds Eye "Magnolia! range and also Fancy Pants...they were part of a Jenni Bowlin kit from back in Feb 2007. The ribbons is by Hobby Craft and I have added some bling and a sentiment with my ATB Tape Writer.

Hope you like this first attempt with these stamps...check them out on DewDrop Crafts.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 23 "Soft Furnishings"

This weeks challenge over on Cute Card Thursday is to use something that you associate with soft furnishings...buttons, fabric, ribbon...youn get the idea.

For my card I have used a Hanglar image sent to me in a swap, coloured with my lovely ProMarkers. I have used scraps of paper from a past GoGo kit, with some fabric ripped to make a ribbon, also from the same old GoGo kit. The cardstock was embossed with my Cuttlebug and the sentiment was made used my ATB Tape Writer.

Loved the challenge this week....and the DT cards as always, what can I say....AMAZING!

Citrus colours

I was colouring last night and these citrus colours were just calling out to me, begging to be used...as they are always neglected in favour of pinks. I have used Flower Power Tilda with a sentiment by Hero Arts. The papers are Chatterbox "Sun Room" that I bought in a kit with matching Bazzill (which I used a piece of for the base of the card), with ribbon from American Craft and Hobby Craft. I have used a sketch from Katharina that was on Papertake Weekly a couple of weeks back. I really love Katharina....her sketches are always fab. I haveused my ProMarkers to colour the image...I really love how quick and simple they are to use...and am already planning on which colours to buy next...LOL

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Seasons Week 2

I am a little late posting these today...I have had a busy day working....only one more day to work this week before we are off on a weeks holiday. Anyway, back to the ATC's....I finally finished my Four Seasons ATC's on Tuesday night. I hope everyone else is still working on their set of four as I am looking forward to catching up on checking out everyone's blogs when I get back at the end of the month.

I have so many things to do before we leave on Friday evening....ironing, cleaning, packing.....why does it always fall on the shoulders of the wife/mug.
We took a trip to Halfords on Tuesday night and bought a roof box so that we can fit everything in as we don't want to be squashed for the long journey...which can take anywhere between three and five hours.

Anyway, better get off to bed....even though I am tempted to start watching the Olympics...just think...four more years and I will be able to watch at sensible o'clock...LOL
Nite

Magnolia Summer Stamp Club Card

Another card made for me, and not a challenge.

I have used one of the Magnolia Summer Stamp Club stamps. Absolutely everything else is by K&Co "Berry Sweet". The image is coloured with my new ProMarkers.

This week I am busy designing my September ScrapaGoGo kits. So far I have made three cards...the kits are so lush, full of gorgeousness and lovely summery colours. Subscriptions for this kit are sold out, but they do have some single kits that go on sale on the 1st September with the GoGo Grab-it's. So what with that and trying to get organised for our holiday next week...things are busy....and of course watching some of the Olympics. I even went online to request tickets for the 2012 London Olympics as Georgia wants to go and watch the Gymnastics.

Love Is...Us (Together Forever)

I made this card last night for no particular reason. I had done all the weekly challenges that I wanted to...and this card idea just came to me.

The images are both by hanglar & stAnglar , the papers are Prima "Angelique", the stickers are American Craft ("love") and Scenic Route (the rest). The paper, ribbon, and stickers were all parts of previous ScrapaGoGo Kits that I am using up....they are always so jam packed that I always have lots of bits and pieces left over.

The images were both coloured with my new ProMarkers, and the girl was raised up on 3D foam.

Tomorrow I am tasked with sorting out the ironing mountain (and I mean mountain) so that we can sort what we are taking away with us at the weekend.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 9 "Sketch 2"

The challenge this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog is another sketch.

I have used an image I stamped while visiting Marlene a couple of weeks ago...thanks Hunnie x I have coloured her with my ProMarkers and added some Sakura clkear glitter gel pen. The papers are Rhonna Farrer ones that were in the Dec 2007 GoGo Create Kit. All the other stamps are by Autumn Leaves.

Thanks ladies, I do love using these stamps.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 14

Here is my card using this weeks sketch over on Friday Sketchers, provided this week by the fabulous Beatrix of Germany.

So I coloured this image yesterday morning before I went out for the afternoon, but the sketch wasn't up so I couldn't make up the card, and last night I was out at Bistro Live in Milton Keynes....eating, drinking and dancing....not on the table for me though...LOL

I coloured the image with my new ProMarkers and added a little Sakura clear glitter gel pen to the hair and wings. The papers are all Basic Grey "Two Scoops", with a blossom by Bo Bunny and ribbon by American Crafts. I have used some little stationery tags on string from Staples and written my own sentiment on them.

Hope you like....

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch 8 by Katharina

Here is my card using this weeks sketch by Katharina over on Papertake Weekly.

I used Basic Grey "Euphoria" papers, with an image by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie, "Sweet 'n Sassy" and a sentiment by Stampin' Up....also used their punches for the scalloped circe. I have coloured the image with my new Promarkers, and finally I added some pink bling.

We are off out after lunch to see my best mate Lyns and her girls, they moved on the 18th July and we haven't seen them since...so we get to go and see their new house. I am taking my stamps as they need a top up of stamped images....LOL
