Donkey Smiles...Kickin' it for Michelle

Here is a card I made last night for the challenge over on A Spoon Full of Sugar using the sketch over on Friday Sketchers. I have used the gorgeous freebie donkey image that was being given away by Whimsy Stamps. The image was designed by Melissa Jenkins and the sentiments by Ann Vento, and I think it is totally adorable.

Here is what it says on the A Spoon Full of Sugar Blog...

We would like to share some sad news today, some of you may already know from her blog, our design team member Michelle had an accident about two weeks ago, which has left her with the loss of her right eye and a long road of recovery ahead. In an effort to cheer her up and raise awareness for what happened to Michelle we are holding a card drive in her honor. We have many generous companies and individuals helping us with this special card drive and we hope you will help too!
We are asking that everyone please create a card in dedication to Michelle and mail it off to her. We would love nothing more than to flood her mailbox with well wishes from around the world. Michelle has shared so much of herself on her blog and in her design team work and this is a just a small way for us to give back to her.

I have coloured the image with Copics using the following colours...
W0/W1/W2/W3/R29/R00/R01
The papers are all Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby and I have just added some pearls. As the card is being sent in th post I wanted to keep it pretty flat. I also cut around the image and added a cloud like shape as I didn't want to loose any of the doodling parts.

Be sure to check out the challenges this week....and make a card for Michelle. My Georgia loves the image so much she is currently sat colouring it with her Promarkers so that she can also make a card for Michelle.

Today on the Club Anya & Friends blog it is Wild Card Wednesday, and our theme is Fresh & Fruity. We want to see you use fruit or vegetables as inspiration for your card.

The papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety" and I have layered them with some Bazzill cardstock. I have embellished with som raffia, a couple of heart pins, some pearl bling, a cherry charm and a sentiment I made myself on my PC and then printed out. I love the colours I used on this card...and with the kraft coloured card and those muted colours and the inking it almost feels very 50's to me.

This card has also used the sketch found over on Papertake Weekly this week, and also the theme on A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Be sure to hop on over to the Club Anya & Friends blog and join in with the challenge.

A Spoon Full of Sugar meets Papertake Weekly

Here is a card I made using the sketch over on Papertake Weekly, and the theme over on A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge blogs. On A Spoon Full of Sugar they wanted you to use Distress Inks, Pearls and Glitter.

For my card I have used one of the new hAnglar & stAnglar images that I received from a wonderful, kind and caring friend over in Sweden....there were four stunning stamps in a packet with a card for my birthday...and being the impatient minx that I am....I HAD to open them...LOL. Anyway, I have coloured her with my Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E44/E47/E49
Clothing - R81/R83/R85/C0/C1/C2
The papers I have used are all Basic Grey "Sultry" and are layered with some Bazzill cardstock. In accordance with the request in ASFOS, I have used "Vintage Photo" Distress Ink to ink the edges of the papers and the main image and sentiment. The sentiment is one that I got from Simon Says Stamp and is made by Inkadinkado (love these kids quote ones). I have further embellished with some lace and a cherry blossom by Wild Orchid Crafts, some Heidi Grace and Maya Road pins, some pearl bling from my stash and another sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

Be sure to pop on over to both of the challenge blogs that this card is for, as the DT cards are amazing.

A Spoon Full of Sugar meets Papertake Weekly

This week over on the Papertake Weekly challenge blog there is another fab sketch provided by DawnyP, and on A Spoon Full of Sugar the theme is non traditional christmas colours. I have combined these two themes to make the card above.

The image is by Lili of the Valley and I have coloured it with Copics using the following colours...
Bear - C1/C3/C5
Hat - R85
Parcels - C9/R85
The papers are by DCWV from a paper pad I got last year and they are layered with Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock, all I have added to embellisg this one is some DecoArt Glamour Dust to the fur on the hat in the image, some Stampin' Up "Basic Gray" taffeta, a couple of heart pins and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

I have been busy trying to finish my Christmas cards for this year...and I think I almost have enough...after this week I will have no more time for Christmas cards so if I don't have enough people will be getting shop bought (I tend to send those to people I know will only throw them away). This past few days I have done most of my Christmas shopping, some online and some in the local shops as I cannot face shopping in Milton Keynes shopping centre....it is fab, but I just can't stand the crowded shops, and hanging around waiting at checkouts. I think I only have about 2 or 3 gifts left to buy....
