Anyone for Anya? - Sketch Time!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog we have a sketch for you to follow...

I have made a couple of halloween cards following the sketch...

For the first card I have used Hallo SheDevil digi available HERE from The Greeting Farm. She has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - R46/R59
The papers are all Magnolia halloween ones from 2009 and I have layered them with some Bazzill cardstock. The sentiment "Boo" has been punched using an SU punch from the US out of a scrap of paper....not sure who made it though, and I have added some bats using my Martha Stewart punch and some Doodlebug Sugar Coated cardstock. I have also used a random cobweb stamp to create the background for the image and have added some DecoArt Glamour Dust to make it sparkle (like it has morning dew on it).

And here is the second card...
Again I have used the sketch with one of the new digis from The Greeting Farm, this one is called Hallo Witch and is available HERE. Again I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - YG01/YG03/YG05
Hair - BV17
Eyes - B21
Hat - BV17/YR07/C5/C7/C9
Clothing - C5/C7/C9
Boots - BV17
Broom - E57
The papers are the same Magnolia ones, the only difference is I have layered them with some Doodlebug Sugar Coated Cardstock. Again more of the same bats, but this time the sentiment was created using Making Memories mini alphas and also a Heidi Grace rub-on.

Anyone for Anya? - Don't be Square!

This week on the Anyone for Anya? challenge blog our theme is "Don't be Square!". We don't want to see your 6x6 inch (or thereabouts) cards....we want to see all the other shapes....tent cards, easel cards, round cards, round cards, step cards.....or like me handbag shape cards.

For my cards I have cut a handbag shape card from a template I have had for donkeys years out of black spotted cardstock. I have added a handbag charm made from Shrinkles (Shrink Plastic) coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - R81/R83/R85
Clothing - C0/C1/C2/C3/C5/C7
I have then added a Prima Lollipop flower and created a swirl with the Bazzill bling template, and finished off with one of my ticket sentiments.
Be sure to pop on over to the Anyone for Anya? blog to see what other shapes the DT came up with.

Today is Georgia's 8th Birthday....my baby is a baby no more...she is a little lady. Yesterday I took a group of her friends bowling and for pizza.....and my god that was hard work....since when do 8 year olds become boy crazy....4 of them were mooning over teenage boys.....very worrying! Thankfully for me Georgia was not one of them....she still thinks boys are mean and smelly, with the exception of her Daddy. The picture above was taken while we were bowling. I spent 45 minutes giving her more ringlets (she naturally has a few) in her hair with ringlet tongs.....got to do it again this morning too as she wants to show her cousins...we are off down to Surrey to visit my family for Sunday Lunch!

Party Gifts and Gift Boxes...

With Georgia's 8th Birthday just days away, I have all the party bits organised, right down to the gift bags for friends coming bowling and for pizza. I made each of them a necklace with ribbon & shrink plastic, and also a zip pull....Here is a picture of one set, each set is ever so slightly different...
So each girl will get a set in a box with a couple of mini chocolate bars in there too....I mean a girl needs chocolate right!

Here is a picture of all the boxes with each girls name on. They are almost finished, I just need to go and get a pack of chocolate and add the ribbon around the rim of each box...then they are all done...

The boxes are made from a piece of Bazzill bling that is 6x11 inches and is folded into a 4x4 mini pizza box. The top is decorated with a die-cut done using my Nesties Label One, a heart pin and also a black dotted bow. The flowers are made from the same tissue paper that is inside the box.

So with the bowling lane booked, the restaurant confirmed, gifts made....all I need to do is pick up a cake and a balloon, buy chocolate for the gift boxes, and go and get a couple more small birthday pressies for the Birthday Girl! Where are the Dads when it comes to sorting all this stuff out!

Something different....

As Georgia's 8th Birthday is fast approaching and she wants to have a mini party with 5 of her school friends I thought I could actually manage to make my own invitations...and here they are...
I have made the design using digi elements, the blue part is a "Half Cut" by Amy Woolf, and I have added the party details and a photo of Georgia that I took last Sunday. I then punched some butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch & stamp, and added an image by The Greeting Farm which I coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - R81/R83
Hairband - BG01/BG05
Clothing - R81/R83/R85/BG01/BG05
The butterflies have been punched out of some Wild Rose Studio paper, and finished off by adding some Stickles in "stardust" to the wings of the butterflies.

The girls I handed them to after school yesterday loved them. I have had to make an extra as one little girl couldn't make it...so Georgia asked another of the girls in her class instead.

Monday Mania - Matching Card & Gift

Over on the Club Anya & Friends blog it's Monday Mania, and this week the theme has been chosen by our guest 1LUVNMAMA, and she wanted us to make a matching card & gift.

I have tied the box with some organze ribbon from Hobbycraft. I pushed a couple of heart pins into the knot and added a tag with one of the Creepy Cakes on.
Inside I wrapped the coasters with red tissue paper and tied with more of the organza.
Here are pictures of the actual coasters...

Anyone for Anya? - Get in Shape!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? blog our theme is "Get in Shape". Now I am a complete numpty and thought we had to make a shaped card...when it was actually a 3-2-1 recipe challenge using shapes. So basically we want to see 3 different shapes on your card but 3 of 1 shape, 2 of another and 1 of a yet another. You can count your base card as 1 shape if you want to, and you can use whatever shapes you want.

So my card kind of can meet the challenge...purely by chance...
I used three triangles of cardstock, two images, and it made one pyramid (card).......can I be forgiven LOL.

The images on this card are The Greeting Farm digi stamps called Dressy Edward & Dressy Joyce, they have both been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothes - Joyce - BG10/BG11/BG13/R29
Clothes - Edward - E44/E47/E49/R29
The papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird" and the cardstock is Coredinations. I have added some sentiments with Inkadinkado quote stamp, and Craftwork Cards sentiments. The embellishments are pretty minimal on this one, with just a red spotted bow from Craft Fairy, A red heart pin and some Doodlebug ribbon.

I have included some extra pics...

More with Shrink Plastic...

This week I have been having a real play with Shrink Plastic. I have made a couple of keyrings and also a necklace....I have shown pics of all but this one. I have used one of the digi images from The Greeting Farm, this one is called "Twisted Tea" I printed it in A5 format and then coloured it with my Copics. After shrinking I added a keyring and hook, plus some ribbon which I have just tied on to the ring and also a piece tied into a bow. I kept it pretty simple, and now it is happily adorning my handbag.

Off to bed now as I am off to Ally Pally tomorrow for the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show....yay.

Be sure to pop back later on today to see my Club Anya & Friends "Sketchy Saturday" card.

Club Anya & Friends Monday Mania - ABC (Anything But a Card!) Challenge!

This week over on the Club Anya & Friends blog the challenge is ABC (Anything But a Card). I decided to make a necklace with one of the digi Creepy Cakes. I printed her out onto Shrink Plastic (approx A5 in size) and coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Eyes - B21
Hair - W1/W2
Clothing - W0/W1/W2/W3/W5/W7/W9/R29
I have used a couple of jump rings and a piece of Doodlebug ribbon, to fasten the ribbon I have used velcro.

Georgia tried to walk off with this before I even had a chance to finish it off...that girl is addicted to Shrink Plastic!

Club Anya - Saturday Sketch #11

Here is a card I made over the weekend using the Saturday sketch over on the Club Anya & Friends blog. For my card I used the digi called Audrey that was a freebie over on The Greeting Farm blog recently, she has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E44/E47/E49

The papers are all by My Minds Eye Quite Contrary "Little Boy Blue" , available HERE from Dies to Die For, and have been layered with some brown Bazzill cardstock. I have embellished with a bit of ribbon that I salvaged from the packaging of my Sisters Mother's Day present....it was a lovely M&S orchid from her kids, I also used a couple of WRMK eyelets and a couple of buttons with Ikea string threaded through them. The sentiments are a mixture of The Greeting Farm stamps "Talk Loud, available HERE from Dies to Die For, and Craftwork Cards "number plates".

We had a fab day yesterday watching the Gymnastics and I am proud to say that my darling Georgia came away with a bronze medal....hopefully I will have a photo later....depending on how they came out!

A couple more bits from me!

Here is the other notebook I made yesterday....I have told Georgia not to promise to make anymore for a while as I have enough to do already...LOL I have taken an Asda notepad, added another of the calico flowers, some KI Memories ribbon, American Crafts Thickers and a Inkadinkado sentiment....and obviously a Tilda stamp...this one is Happy Tilda and she has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E44/E47/E49
Clothing - BG10/BG15/BG18/YG00/YG01
Also I made a card with the Ebony digi image that I had from The Greeting Farm (Ebony is now available as a rubber stamp from Tracy @ Dies to Die For...HERE). The papers are all Basic Grey "Sugar Rush" and I have coloured Ebony with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20

I have finished off the card with a sentiment by Craftwork Cards, some bling, lace and a couple of decorative pins.

I had a bit of good luck yesterday...I won a free ticket to the NEC craft show at the end of the month.....thanks to Jayne @ Stampasaurus. So that's an extra £10 to spend on stash!!!

Anyone for Anya? - Spring Fever!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog our theme is "Spring Fever!", we want to see your spring inspired cards.

For my card I have used one of the Creepy Cakes digi images from The Greeting Farm which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - R20/R21/R22/YG00/YG01/YG03/YG05/Y21
The papers are all October Afternoon "Farm Fresh" which have been layered with some Bazzill cardstock. I have kept the embellies to a minimum on this one just using some Daffodils from Wild Orchid Crafts available HERE and some butterflies punched with my Martha Stewart Punch and finally I used the SU Mothers Day stamp again. The reason for the simple embellies is that I am taking this card to the Crematorium to leave with a plant for my Mum...and I know they will throw the card away, at least this way all the items on the card are recyclable.

I didn't expect to have to make more Mothers Day cards this weekend....but David took my box of cards to work....and sold all my Mothers Day cards....LOL

Be sure to check out the Anyone for Anya? blog to see the rest of the beautiful cards by the DT.
