Just Magnolia - Tent Card!

This week over on the Just Magnolia challenge blog the team have challenged us all to make a tent card. Now until then I had never heard of or made a tent card.....and now I have...LOL

For my card I have used the Magnolia cake stamp and a couple of the Magnolia mini's that they sell at the show....you may remember the search for Bride Tilda's Groom....like many women in this world....it took some time. The images have been coloured with Copics using the following colours....
Cake - E50/E51/R20/R21
Bride - E000/E00/E11/R20/E50/E53
Groom - E000/E00/E11/R20/E25/W0/W1/W2/W3/R21
The papers are all DCWV "Be Loved", I have embellished with some Bazzill Tulle, some Cherry Blossoms and Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, a few pins a cage heart from HobbyCraft and a couple of sentiments by Craftwork Cards. I even made a co-ordinating box to send the card it...they are just a little too bulky for an envelope.

Be sure to pop over and check out the instructions....you won't believe how simple they are...yet so effective.

Just Magnolia - Distressing!

This week over on the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog the theme is "Distressing". I decided to make a wedding card after getting the mini bride & groom stamps for the Magnolia stand at the NEC on Saturday. I put them on top of the cake by masking Tilda before I stamped Edwin so that he is just slightly behind the train of Tilda's dress. All the images have been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Tilda's Hair - E53
Edwin's Hair - E47
Tilda's Clothing - E50/R20/G21/YR31
Edwin's Clothing - R20/C1/C3/C5
Cake - E50/R20/R21
The papers are all by DCWV from the "Be Mine" stack, including the sentiment which was cut from one of the sheets in the pad. I have added some lace, pearl bling and string from my stash. The gorgeous paper roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have used my Martha Stewart "branch" punch to add some foilage.

I loved this challenge and think it is my favourite wedding card I have ever made.....now I just need someone to get married....LOL So a huge thanks to the DT for inspiring me.

Ismaki Challenge #007 2009 by Manue

Finally I have finished my card using this weeks sketch over on the Ismaki Challenge Blog. This week the sketch has been provided by Manue and has the option to use Pink/Blue. For my card I have used one of The Greeting Farm stamp sets called "Cake Topper" for the main image and for the sentiment. Both images have been coloured with Distress Inks and I have added Sakura clear glitter gel pen to the brides hair. The papers are by Paper Mania "Simply Elegant", I have also used a Maya Road Velvet Blossom, some Kaiser Craft pearls, swirls cut using a Quickutz revolution flourish die and some gorgeous pleated ribbon...that I pinched (with permission) from Marlene's ribbon mountain.
Here is a picture of the inside decorated with lots of the leftover scraps......I think it really does finish off the card beautifully. I have also used a small section of the stamp in the corner to finish it off.....with more swirls.
Here is a closeup of the small image at the bottom on the inside.
