Friday Sketchers #76

Here is my card using this weeks sketch over on Friday Sketchers. I have used one of my Squiggle DT stamps called "You Rock!"...and the papers are October Afternoon "Report Card" & "Hometown" layered with some cardstock from my stash. I cut the large star using my Nestabilities and the small stars using my Stampin' Up star punch. The sentiment is by Craftwork Cards.

Sorry for the super quick post, but Georgia has a swimming lesson this morning, and then we are off to see Marlene and the family or a halloween party.

Challenge Combo...

This morning I decided that I wanted to make a card without any colouring, and I had my fab new Stampin' Up Butterfly punch and stamps to use. I am entering it into a couple of challenges... Papertake Weekly's theme is"Spots 'n' Stripes", and Daring Cardmakers' theme is "Get Punchy with it".

So for my card I have used papers by Sassfras Lass Serendipity "Sunshine Lollipop" that are layered with Stampin' Up "Bashful Blue" cardstock. The stamps are also Stampin' Up as is the punch (as I mentioned before). To finish off I added some gems from my stash.

Now it was lovely to make a card that was quick (no colouring), but my heart lifts with joy when I colour....I am just a nig kid at heart...LOL

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge - Fall Back...The FINAL Challenge

It's a sad day...the final challenge over on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog. After just over 8 months we have taken the diffocult decision to close down. There are just so many more challenge blogs out there than when we first started...and people are not as interested in making these mini works of art.

Anyway, back to the theme...With the clocks going back this past weekend we have a theme of "Fall Back!", we want you to use autumn colours on your ATC. For mine I have used an Anya from the Rain Snow & Shine set by The Greeting Farm. Anya has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E47/E49
Boots - E77
Socks - R20/R21
Skirt - E71
Jacket - R59
Umbrella - R37
The papers are Basic Grey "Indian Summer" and I also used some Bazzill cardstock for the base. Finally I have added a tab using my Stampin' Up punch and also some Stampin' Up choc chip taffeta ribbon. The sentiment is by CC Designs.

Please come and join us one last time....for old times sake!

Challenge Combo...

This week over on Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Weekly Challenge Blog the theme is "Shades of Autumn", you must use brown/rust & either green or yellow on your card or project. I have also used a fab sketch from Friday Sketchers.

For my card I have used "Lillith" and coloured her with my Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53/E21/E31
Dress - YR61/R02/E47
Frogs - G21
The papers are by October Afternoon and are a mixture of "Night Light" & "Weathervane" and they have been layered using DCWV cardstock that I have sanded the edges of. The only other items I added are some ribbon from my stash and a Craftwork Cards sentiment that I layered using my Stampin' Up oval punch.

Be sure to check out both blogs to see the DT's inspiration...also Kimmie has new stamps coming soon, and there may just be some sneaky peeks.

All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge

I recently came across the new All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge Blog, and just had to take part....I really do adore the CC Designs stamps...just too cute.

For my card I have used one of the new CC Designs "Sugarplum Angel Emma" set. I have coloured her using my Copics and added some DecoArt Glamour Dust to her wings for extra sparkle...I also added a little Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair and halo. I have used the new Craftwork Cards Xmas Papers and layered them with some Bazzill Bling cardstock. I have kept the card pretty simple by just using my Nesties to cut and mount the main image, and an EK Success Snowflake border punch. I finished off with a few simple embellishments including a heart pin, some ribbon, both from my stash and a Stampin' Up sentiment.

Cannot wait to see what the challenge is this week....and to see who has been chosen to be on their new DT.

Papertake Weekly - DawnyP's Sketch #26

I have finally made a card with the wonderful sketch last week over on Papertake Weekly...I really do love DawnyP's sketches...she is a star. For my card I rotated the 90 degrees to the right. The main image is by Kraftin' Kimmie and I have coloured it with my Copics. The papers are October Afternoon "Farm Fresh" and I have layered them with some co-ordinating Bazzill cardstock. Finally I have used a Stampin' Up sentiment and punch, Anita's ribbon some random flowers from my stash (mostly Prima), Heidi Grace pin and some pearl bling.

Be sure to pop over there tomorrow to see the new challenge...

Proud Mummy Moment...

Georgia took part in a Gymnastics Competition on Sunday morning. She performed her routine and vaults perfectly, I was so proud as only that morning she did her usual...she told me she didn't want to take part. I know she gets very nervous, so I told her to pack her stuff and we would go and watch and see how she felt. Well...once there she joined the rest of the girls and boys who were competing from her club....and her nerves were forgotten.

Well.....she did incredibly well and ended up winning her age group....I am sooo proud of her, not for winning, but for overcoming her nerves and for performing her best.....the medal is a bonus.

Congratulations Gorgeous Girl...Your Mummy is proud of you!

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Week 7 "Charmed, I'm Sure!"

This week over on the Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog our theme is "Charmed, I'm Sure!". I want to see you use a charm somewhere on your card or project. The charm can either be shop bought or homemade....your choice.

For my card I have used Witch Tilda by Magnolia and also the So Spooky papers by Magnolia layered with some Bazzill and Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. The ribbon and charm are both from my stash. Finally I used my trusty Martha Stewart punch to punch out the bats.

Be sure to come over and join in the fun. The rest of the DT have made some beautiful creations. For this card I also used the fabulous sketch over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog...thanks ladies.

Anyone for Anya? - Sketch #3

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog, Dawny has provided us with a fabby sketch. We are also sponsored this week by De Hobbykamer. For my card I used the cute little Halloween set. I coloured all the images with my Copics, and created the background using a CC Designs stamp from the Autumn Kit, and used Midnight Black & Night Sky VersaMagic chalk ink pads rubbed over the cardstock. The papers are all by Magnolia and have been layered using Bazzill cardstock and the main imaged is matted onto Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. Finally all I did was add a sentiment from the same set as the characters and a few glittery bats punched with my Martha Stewart bat punch.

What a little creative minx I have...

Goergia was off school yesterday, and had the urge to join in with a little crafting, and here is what she made...a couple of cute ATC's. If you look at the first one she has made a pocket in the side, and where you can see the ribbon...that is attached to a tag that will slide out. How creative is she....and just 7.

Squiggle Treat Bag

Here is my final treat bag, and I couldn't make them all without using my cute Monster set from Squiggle Stamps. The bag is pretty simple, I used a Moxxie diecut cardstock, and just folded it in half. The cellophane is literally a card bag, that I have folded and stapled before I stapled on the top. I have also used a Magnolia sentiment stamp that I punched a section out of with my Stampin' Up Designer Label punch.

Another busy weekend here with swimming lessons tomorrow and a Gymnastics competition on Sunday...thank goodness for half term next week...LOL

Been busy.....

Last night I cracked on and got some more Halloween treat bags made. I made one more with Witch Tilda....who I adore, and the rest are made with Daisy & Dandelion die-cuts plus some Moxie diecut papers, Martha Stewart bat punch...and that's about it really.

I have kept them pretty simple, as you know what kids are like....all they want is the contents of the bags...LOL

Georgis is off school sick today, so I have an unexpected day at home....which is nice, but I would prefer her to be well and at school.

Cute Card Thursday - Candy Corns!

This week over on Cute Card Thursday our theme is Candy Corns! We want to see your sweet/candy themed cards or projects. This week we are sponsored by Joni, you can see her wonderful site full of digital stamps for you to buy HERE. We are also joined by a new Guest DT, Karen and you can see her lovely Blog for more fab stuff.

So I decided to make a favour box for this weeks challenge. I used my new Sizzix Bigz XL die to cut the Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. The top has been decorated with Witch Tilda coloured with Copics, a few Doodlebug shaped buttons, and some ribbon from my stash.
As you can see in the picture above I have used acetate in the window and filled the box with halloween choccies. I also decorated with a Magnolia sentiment that I cut out in the shape of a grave headstone and added another Doodlebug button.
Finally here is a side view with the box partially opened...

Be sure to check out the Cute Card Thursday Blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge - Spooky Mulder!

Here is my ATC for this weeks, the penultimate weeks, challenge over on the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is Spooky Mulder!, this is something my Hubby said whenever we watched the X-Files, particularly the ones towards the end that got more and more weird. I have used six (you better believe it) different Magnolia stamps from the "So Spooky" collection . I stamped all but the background onto shrink plastic and coloured with Copics. To create the background once I stamped it I just inked the cardstock with VersaMagic chalk inks.
Also I have used some Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock punched with my Martha Stewart bat punch. I made this little scene so that it can stand up.

As I mentioned before, this is the last but one ever challenge on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog, so we would love it if you could come over and join us for the last couple of challenges.

Scrap Online with Marlene

Marlene was hosting the Scrap Online over on Tiets Club this week...unfortunately everything is in Dutch, so Marlene has kindly posted all the details over on her blog....thanks Hun.

So every five minutes we were given another stage to complete...unless you were like me and got behind because you were too busy (I was preparing the post for todays challenge over on Cute Card Thursday...so I think I can be forgiven). In the end I had all the pieces cut and the image coloured and matted...but nothing else, so when I saw Marlene's stunning card....I just copied the sticking by eye and didn't need to measure anymore....LOL. I even added a couple of things like she did...I was such a copy cat.

For my card I used a Magnolia stamp from the "So Spooky" collection which I coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - YG00/YG03/YG06
Hair - C1/C3/C5/C7/C9
Hat - C7/C9/V17
Dress - C7/C9/V17
Boots - C5/C7
Broom - E49/E57
The papers are all by Magnolia, also from the "So Spooky" collection and I have layered them with Bazzill Bling cardstock and also Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. I have also used one of my Stampin' Up punches, my Martha Stewart "Bat" punch to cut from bats from the sugar coated cardstock and finally I added a touch of black bling to finish the card off. Finally I added a sentiment with some 7Gypsies rubons.

A huge thanks to Marlene for taking the time to prepare the details for us all...and for making such a fabby card for us to copy...Thanks Hun x

Be sure to pop over to Marlene's blog to take a look...This card also qualifies for the theme of "Halloween" over on Papertake Weekly....so I am entering it there too.

Cute Card Thursday - Spook Fest!

This week over on Cute Card Thursday our theme is "Spook Fest!". I decided not to make a card, instead I made a little Halloween treat bag. I have used one of the new Magnolia stamps from the "So Spooky" collection and coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - YG00/YG03/YG06
Hair - C1/C3/C5/C7/C9
Hat - C7/C9/V17
Dress - C7/C9/V17
Boots - C5/C7
Broomstick - E49/E57
I have also used another Magnolia stamp from the same collection (the skull & crossbones label). The base is made from a Moxxie Mini Diecut Cardstock that I got from Ally Pally, and I have added a cobweb & spider rubon from Heidi Grace. The bats are cut from Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock using my Martha Stewart punch, and the pumpkin button is also from Doodlebug.

Below is a picture showing just the top part....

And a close-up of Tilda...
This week we are sponsored by Dies To Die For, they have offered a wonderful set of the newly released Sugarplum Angels by CC Designs....so be sure to come over and join in the fun if you want to be in with a chance of winning them...

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge - Paper Piecing

This week over on Tilda & Friends our theme is "Paper Piecing". For my ATC I have used one of my Squiggle Stamps and I have paper pieced all but the hair and skin. The papers are Basic Grey "Lemonade". Apart from the all I have added was a Craftwork Cards sentiment and a cloud that I cut myself. I have added a little Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair for a little extra sparkle.

There is also a big announcement over on the blog too....after a little over a year we have decided to call it a day. With so many challenge blogs and dwindling participants it just seemed like it had run it's natural course...and as they say....All good things must come to an end. The challenges will run until the end of October, so please pop over and join us in the final few weeks. I would like to thank the DT and all the previous Guest DT for all their amazing work.
Hugs
