Magnolia Angels...the good and the bad!

I got the Magnolia Christmas magazine earlier in December and wanted to have a go at the angels that were in there. I also took inspiration from the one Jane of the Just Magnolia DT made....with added doo-hickey wings and marabou feathers...

Here they are....
The Good

The Bad
I think they look so cute, that I am now searching for other stamps/digi images that I can make them with too....

A Three in One!

I made this card last night for the challenges over on A Spoon Full of Sugar, Papertake Weekly and Daring Cardmakers. On Daring Cardmakers they want you to make a card with a theme that starts with the first letter of your name....I am a C...so Christmas. On A Spoon Full of Sugar they want you to you a colour combo of Brown and either Blue or Pink....so I used Brown & Blue. Finally on Papertake Weekly they want you to make a Christmas Card.

For my card I used an image by CC Designs that I coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E31/E25/E27/E49
Clothing - BG10/BG11/BG13/E33/E35
The papers are all by Magnolia from the Christmas collection that I layered with some Bazill & Bazzill Bling cardstock. I also added some lace, pearl pin and pearl bling from my stash together with flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

Been feeling in a crafty funk all week....most unlike me.....hope it passes quickly.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Week 11 "Caz's Sketch"

This week over on the Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog there is a sketch....provided by me...

So, as you can see I had to hand draw it.....thank goodness for the SU grid paper...LOL. Below is how if interpreted my own sketch...I decided to turn it 90 degrees to the left.
The image is one of the new Magnolia Christmas Collection called "Unwrapped Tilda"...available HERE, I also used some of the Magnolia papers, a selection of which are available HERE, which I layered with some Bazzill cardstock. I added some gorgeous cream lace, pearls and some stunning flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which I "glimmered and glamoured" and finished off with a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

Be sure to pop over to the Crafty Angels blog and see how the rest of the DT did with my sketch.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Week 7 "Charmed, I'm Sure!"

This week over on the Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog our theme is "Charmed, I'm Sure!". I want to see you use a charm somewhere on your card or project. The charm can either be shop bought or homemade....your choice.

For my card I have used Witch Tilda by Magnolia and also the So Spooky papers by Magnolia layered with some Bazzill and Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. The ribbon and charm are both from my stash. Finally I used my trusty Martha Stewart punch to punch out the bats.

Be sure to come over and join in the fun. The rest of the DT have made some beautiful creations. For this card I also used the fabulous sketch over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog...thanks ladies.

Anyone for Anya? - Sketch #3

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog, Dawny has provided us with a fabby sketch. We are also sponsored this week by De Hobbykamer. For my card I used the cute little Halloween set. I coloured all the images with my Copics, and created the background using a CC Designs stamp from the Autumn Kit, and used Midnight Black & Night Sky VersaMagic chalk ink pads rubbed over the cardstock. The papers are all by Magnolia and have been layered using Bazzill cardstock and the main imaged is matted onto Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. Finally all I did was add a sentiment from the same set as the characters and a few glittery bats punched with my Martha Stewart bat punch.

Be sure to come on over and join us HERE. The DT have created some amazing work...

Scrap Online with Marlene

Marlene was hosting the Scrap Online over on Tiets Club this week...unfortunately everything is in Dutch, so Marlene has kindly posted all the details over on her blog....thanks Hun.

So every five minutes we were given another stage to complete...unless you were like me and got behind because you were too busy (I was preparing the post for todays challenge over on Cute Card Thursday...so I think I can be forgiven). In the end I had all the pieces cut and the image coloured and matted...but nothing else, so when I saw Marlene's stunning card....I just copied the sticking by eye and didn't need to measure anymore....LOL. I even added a couple of things like she did...I was such a copy cat.

For my card I used a Magnolia stamp from the "So Spooky" collection which I coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - YG00/YG03/YG06
Hair - C1/C3/C5/C7/C9
Hat - C7/C9/V17
Dress - C7/C9/V17
Boots - C5/C7
Broom - E49/E57
The papers are all by Magnolia, also from the "So Spooky" collection and I have layered them with Bazzill Bling cardstock and also Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. I have also used one of my Stampin' Up punches, my Martha Stewart "Bat" punch to cut from bats from the sugar coated cardstock and finally I added a touch of black bling to finish the card off. Finally I added a sentiment with some 7Gypsies rubons.

A huge thanks to Marlene for taking the time to prepare the details for us all...and for making such a fabby card for us to copy...Thanks Hun x

Be sure to pop over to Marlene's blog to take a look...This card also qualifies for the theme of "Halloween" over on Papertake Weekly....so I am entering it there too.

Sketch Saturday #62 by Sandra

This weeks sketch over on Sketch Saturday was provided by Sandra...so in the nick of time I made this card....I was combining it with the theme on Just Magnolia (Distressing) but I didn't upload it in time....hey ho...LOL, although it can also be entered into A Spoon Full of Sugar (Floral Fantasy)...

For my card I have used the new Magnolia papers together with the new strawberry stamp and an older Tilda. These papers are so cute and fruity...and a nice weight too. I have coloured the images with my Copics, I have also added some Kanban pearls, a sentiment by Craftwork Cards layered using my SU punches. Finally I added flowers (from my stash..inc a rose from wild orchid) and some swirls cut with my EK Success punch.

Thanks to the DT's of all three challenge blogs.....stunning work from all of them...as always.
