Something from the weekend....

Well I have no card to show you this morning as last night I was working on my ATC for this weeks Tilda and Friends Challenge, and I was also planning my card for CCT this week. So instead I thought I would show you this completed wall hanging I made a GoGo Getaway. The workshop was taught by Mary Anne Walters (owner of UKScrappers and DT member of Scrapbook Inspirations) and I am so pleased with my completed project. The base of this wall hanging is made from mount board, and all the papers are from Scenic Route "Garden Grove". Now I am even more impressed with myself as those pictures were only taken on the Saturday, and I printed them on my Canon Selphy CP760 (love my little printer) and then used on Sunday morning....I think that may just be the quickest I have ever scrapped a photo.... The only things that weren't included were the glitter thickers that I added. I even managed last night to unpack my stash from the weekend and get it put back to where it lives (at the moment), and I went into my Craft Room to do some more sorting so that I can move most of my stash back up there.

So, while I was away my new iPhone arrived....and the minute I got home I just wanted to play and get everything set up....and once we worked out that you needed to read the online manual to work out ho to get the dang SIM card in....all was well. Last night David also managed to get my purchased iTunes songs off my sick Nano and onto my iPhone.....we had to sync my iPod to my desktop seeing as how my Vaio is still poorly, and so far I am loving my iPhone....it looks so gorgeous and sexy in black.

Feel Good Photo Shoot @ GoGoGetaway

I have finally added a slide show of the pics taken by Cheryl @ GoGoGetaway, Cheryl was fab and even though I hate having my photo taken Cheryl made it pretty painless.

I am Back.....

Ok, so I am back, I was just sooooo tired. The weekend was amazing, but then what do you expect it was a GoGoGwtaway...and all things GoGo are always well organised and well run. The classes were amazing, the teachers were fab, and I cannot wait to do it all again next year.

I had my photo shoot with Cheryl Johnson (CJ), and got a chance to look through the un-edited photos and I was really pleased with them, and now cannot wait until the CD arrives with them on.

I met loads of fab new scrappers and caught up with ones that I hadn't seen since Xmas. I will add some pics by lunchtime.

GoGoGettingAway

Ok, so I am off to the first ever GoGo Getaway. Stash is packed, clothes are packed, camera is packed....everything is packed and I am ready approx 30 minutes ahead of schedule.....A minor miracle I tell you. My passport is just about finished, my badge is done. All is ready. I have run through my mental list twice now, and am pretty sure that the essentials (underwear...LOL) are packed. All that is left to do is get on the road and drive one hour to the venue is Cheshunt...De Vere Hotel

The hotel has internet access so I will be updating over the weekend...hopefully with some photos.

Take care everyone, and whatever the weekend holds for you, try to have some fun without me.

Mini Thank You Card

Things have been crazy here, I have so many projects that I need to complete this week....and some urgent stuff for work. I finally finished my ScrapaGoGo June DT work....I did a couple of LO's and a small project...sadly I can't share yet....but if you are going to GoGo Getaway you will get so see them in the flesh...along with loads of my other projects and LO's.

So now in readiness for the weekend I just need to finish my passport and badge, and sort all my photos.....and get some new ones printed....not much to do.....yeah right!

Anyway along with all these things I also needed to make a Birthday gift (an accordian mini book), which I finished last night and will post pics this evening. And 6 Thank You cards for Georgia's friends to say thanks for the gifts they gave her for her birthday....so here is one of them...I have used one of the Shabby Chic Edwins, the sentiment is by Hero Arts and the papers are Basic Grey "Phoebe". I have used my trusty Prismacolor 's and blended with Sansador using paper stumps. This card is only very slightly larger than an ATC and measures 2.5x4 inches....and is super cute.

I've been and gone and booked....

I am going to ScrapFever in April 2008. I wasn't going to go on any other retreats in 2008 as I am already booked into GoGo Getaway in June 2008, and MKScrappers Retreat in September 2008 but as soon as I saw that Karen Russell was coming over to teach, then it was a no-brainer as they say. I love her Narratives range and basically everything she does, so cannot wait to meet her. So my deposit is paid and my place secured...yipeeeee.
