Anyone for Anya? - Flower Power

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog our theme is "Flower Power". We are sponsored again this week by Stempelstudio and joined by a new Guest DT, Jo.

For my card I have used one of the Miss Anya's from the original set. I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E08/E19
Clothing - R21/R22

The papers are all October Afternoon "Farm Fresh" and I have layered them with some co-ordinating Bazzill cardstock. I used the fabby sketch over on Sketch Saturday, and have embellished the card with some buttons and bling from my stash and the daffodils are brand new from Wild Orchid Crafts....and are stunning. I was very lucky as Paul had given me some to sample when he dropped my order around on Friday....all I can say is yum....don't think they will last long and I think I will need more! The little double daisy is from Creative Treasures and is adorable and matches the papers perfectly....so much so I have now run out of them....and need more.

Be sure to come on over to Anyone for Anya? and join us....and of course check out the sketch on Sketch Saturday.

Georgia and I are off to see my Dad & Sister for a Valentines Sunday Lunch....wonder what we will be having...Hmmmm,....Lamb or Beef????

Anya Ink Guest DT - NO Printed Papers!

This week I am the Guest DT over on Anya Ink, the Australian Anya Challenge Blog. Their theme this week is "No Printed Papers!", so if you know me you know I love my printed papers. I tried to just use plain card, but I like nothing I did. So eventually I remembered by Heidi Swapp Damask stamp.....and the idea to create a my own background. I decided to keep it simple and just used some white linen cardstock (the stuff I use to make my cards from) and stamped with Versafine ink. The black layer is Doodlebug Sugar Coated cardstock. I have further embellished with ribbon from Hobby Craft, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, a star pin from Tabby Crafts, a spotty bow from Craft Fairy and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards. The base of this card is a Paper Mania scalloped card blank. The main image is one of the Miss Anya Love set and has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - R46
Clothing - C1/C3/C5/C7/C9/R46

Thanks so much to Marcia and the Anya Ink DT for inviting me to be their Guest this week....it's been a blast.

Papertake Weekly - DawnyP's Sketch #30

Here is a card I made using the sketch over on Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog.

For my card I have used papers by Cosmo Cricket "Earth Love" layered with some DCWV cardstock. I used my Martha Stewart double scallop punch and have added some raffia and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards....plus of course a little bling.

Another card from my weekend away...

Here is another Miss Anya/My Guy Ian card that I made while I was away at the weekend...this one also sold while I was there....LOL

I have used a Miss Anya from the first set, which I masked off and then added a My Guy Ian so that he is stood just behind....which is how I see most Husbands/Partners when they are shopping with their better halves...LOL Both images have been coloured with Copics, but I cannot remember all the colours...sorry. The papers are all Basic Grey "Indian Summer". I have used my Nesties to matt and layer the main image. The blossom is by My Minds Eye, then I have used some Anita's brown satin ribbon, a heart pin, a Stampin Up stamp and punch which I then put a Craftwork Cards sentiment over the top of. All the edges have been inked with Versa Magic in Jumbo Java.

I am loving the My Guy Ian stamps...and love to added Miss Anya to the mix...they make such a cute couple don't they!

Anyone for Anya? Week 7 - You're Anya!

This week on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog the theme is "You're Anya!". We want you to make a card with the Anya (or any other stamp from The Greeting Farm) that reflects your personality...so use the one that suits you best.

For my card I have used Shopping Anya from the original Miss Anya set. I also added My Guy Ian, who has come along for moral support and to carry the bags when they get too heavy...like all good Husbands/Partners are supposed to do. Anya & Ian have been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair (Anya) - E50/E31
Hair (Ian) - E31/E33
Clothing (Anya) - B32/E47/E49
Bags - E31/R46/B32
Clothing (Ian) - B93/B95/R46
The papers are by Collage Press "Camden". I have used a Martha Stewart Valentine Lace Punch for the heart border and my Nesties to create the mat for the main image. The ribbon is some I found lurking at the bottom of my ribbon mountain, the flowers are all by Prima, layered and attached with a Doodlebug sugar coated brad. Finally I have added a red heart pin and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards that has been layered using my Stampin' Up oval and scalloped oval punches.

As I was finishing off this card, Lyns asked to buy it to give to her hubby for his birthday, so I tailored the sentiment especially for her....and now I have had an order for another very similar for Sasha to give to her Sister...I will be back with that one on Monday...as long as I remember to take a photo before I let her take it home....

Tomorrow is our last day...all too soon good things must come to an end.....I have had a fab day and have even wandered around the crop room and lounge area in my PJ's.....scrapping in PJ's is so much more comfortable.

Don't forget to come back on Monday to my project for the new challenge on Crafty Angels...

For the swirls I used my EK Success punch and I also used my Nestabilities to cut the oval and scalloped oval.

Anyone for Anya? #2 "A Sketch"

As I mentioned earlier in the week I was asked by DawnyP to join the Anyone for Anya? Design Team, and this week is my first challenge. Hair = C1/C3/C5/C7/C9
Clothes = R20/R22R59

To make the fur and muff look furry I have used some Liquid Pearls in a white colour...and I love the effect. The papers are all October Afternoon "Good Cheer" and I have layered them with some DCWV cardstock. Finally I added some SEI ribbon a glittery foam snowflake that I got from Hobbycraft, a heart pin and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards that I have layered with my SU oval and scalloped oval punches.

To finish off I have used my Nestabilities to create the scalloped oval for Miss Anya, and my EK Success swirl punch. Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge "Hey Presto!"

This week on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog the theme is "Hey Presto!", we want you to make an ATC and then turn/incorporate it into another project, ie, a bookmark, tag, mini card, topper...the ideas are endless....check out the Tilda & Friends Blog to see what the other DT members came up with.

For mine this week I made an ATC using October Afternoon "Good Cheer" papers, the main image is Miss Anya coloured with Copics. Finally I added some swirls cut from the paper with an EK Success Swirl punch, some pom pom ribbon that came from an Asda hair scrunchie, a "believe" charm by Maya Road and an eyelet to make it into a tag. I then turned it into a tag on a paper bag purse. The purse is made from a cut down brown paper bag which I covered in DCWV cardstock and more of the Good Cheer papers, the handle is made from ribbon from my stash and I then added some more pink ribbon to attach the ATC tag to the handle. Finally I added some of the October Afternoon stickers to the front and back of the bag.

So as you can see, just because they are ATC, doesn't mean you have to trade them.....if you like you can add them to other projects you are making.

Friday Sketchers #62

I am a little late with this card, as I made it on Thursday with last weeks sketch over on Friday Sketchers. I have used one a Miss Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm coloured with my Copics. The papers are all October Afternoon "Good Cheer" from an 8x8 paper pad. I have kept it pretty simple by just adding some ribbon from Anita's and also a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

I am off to the MK Scrappers crop....the first time this year.....doesn't time fly. I think I have either been away, sick or David was working when all the others were happening. I am not going to scrap today though as I didn't get my photos printed in time......instead I am going to work on my Xmas cards...and a couple of advent calenders.

Back later.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 59 "Happy Mail"

This week over on Cute Card Thursday we have a theme of "Happy Mail", we want you to create a card to cheer someone up, or make their day.

Cute Card Thursday received this email from Vikki, after reading this you might like to send your Happy Mail to one of the children at Post pals!

Hello, I read that you do card challenges and I wondered if you would consider doing a challenge with a twist. I run Post Pals, we feature seriously ill children (most have cancer or are going through transplants) and their siblings on our website http://www.postpals.co.uk/ and invite members of the public to log on from around the world and send a card to a child. The aim is to make the child smile, but we have found it also helps their self esteem and parents often open them with a child during a procedure to distract them.

At the moment we are helping 120 children but they aren't getting much post.

I was wondering if you would do a challenge, instead of people just scanning in their card for the theme but they actually make one for a Post Pal child and send it off. I can't begin to tell you how much receiving a card means when your ill and isolated.

Thank you,Vikki

ps)You can see a video about what we do here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l42sKtdPXrw

For my card I have used this weeks sketch over on Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog . The main image is a Miss Anya stamp and I have coloured with Copics. The papers are all WRMK "Tiffanys", swirls are a QK Revolution die and the flowers are a mix of Prima and Craft Fairy attached with a spacer and a WRMK matching brad..

Here is the inside...

And the back....

Sorry for the rushed post, Georgia's school are going on a walk to the woods and one of the parents forgot and they are short an adult......so I am cancelling worl today and off to the woods for a walk....

Be back after lunch to tidy this post up...LMAO.

Two Challenges in One!

This week has been a little crazy and I have been busy with other non crafting things....so have got behind with the challenges.....so a little combining is in order. This card has combined the challenge on the Basic Grey Challenge Blog to use Black, Grey and one other colour, and the sketch over on Sketch Saturday. For my main image I have used one of my favourite Miss Anya stamps anc coloured her with my new Copics.
The papers are Basic Grey "Ambrosia", so I have gone with a Black, Grey & Orange colour scheme. I have also used some Core-dinations cardstock for layering. I have used my Nesties to cut the circle and the scalloped circle, the flowers are a mixture of Prima and Craft Fairy that I have attached with spacers and PaperMania pearl brads, and intertwined is a spray of pearls that I got in the wedding section of HobbyCraft. To finish off I have added some Stampin' Up "Basic Gray" taffeta ribbon and some random orange sating ribbon from my stash, a sentiment by Craftwork Cards that I have inked the edge with chalk ink, and finally some black pearl bling.

I have also decorated the inside with the leftover scraps....as you can see below.
Thanks to the ladies over on Sketch Saturday and Basic Grey Challenges for the sketch, theme and their inspiration.
