This month over on the Dies to Die For Blog our Die-ing for a Challenge theme is Anything Goes. For my card I decided to put the stamps and Copics aside and use my dies...

I have used the Die-namics Fishtail Stax, Nestabilities Ovals and the Scalloped Oval dies, Lil' Inker Designs Cloud Dies and Mini Pinwheel Die. The papers are all My Minds Eye Summer Splash. The stamped sentiment is also by Lil' Inker Designs and is from the Pinwheel Sentiment Stamp Set.

Be sure to check out the challenge and join in for a chance to win a £25 voucher to spend in the Dies to Die For store.

Creepy Crew Thursday...

This time I want to show you a card I made using one of the images from The Greeting Farm called Creepy Crew Thursday. I am not sure if you can see from the photo, but the kitty hat on the image has also been decoupaged to add dimension. I did the hat in one layer and the eyes in another layer. She has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E04/E08/E09
Clothing - B93/B95/B97/R37/B39
Hat - C1/C5/C5
Eyes - B12
The papers are all by Daisy Bucket Designs Rock Star which are layered with Bazzill cardstock in the following colours...
I have also used the following embellishments...Grosgrain Red Ribbon, Craftwork Cards Oh My Word circle sentiments.
I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One which are currently out of stock, but would work equally as well with Labels Twelve.
The sentiment is by Inkadinkado, and Tracy @ Dies to Die For has received some, and is busy behind the scenes frantically trying to add all the amazing new stock she has received....so keep checking as there are oodles of lush new papers, stamps and more.

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather we have been having....while still getting some time to craft...I hope.

Sympathy Card...

During the week I found out from my Sister that my Dad's neighbour had passed away, having had health problems for as long as I have known him. So last night I came home from the NEC...and then a Firework Party and made a quick card for his wife to let her know we are thinking of her. Having only ever made one other Sympathy card....I was a little nervous. I think keeping the colours soft and serene and the card relatively simple is the way to go....so here is what I made...
What do you think?

So now that I am up, I have got to get a wriggle on as we are off to have dinner with the family down in Surrey today. I will be back again later this morning with my Anyone for Anya? card.

I had a fab day at the NEC, for me the best part was meeting up with my Blogging Buds and having a 2 hour lunch....I know 2 hours when there is stash to buy is a miracle, but it was a blast. I will be back with more details and pics later too.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - #2 Die-Cuts & Punches

This week over on the Crafty Angels blog it was my turn to host the challenge. I decided to go for diecuts & punches.

For my card I used all the coasters, papers, cardstock, ribbon and stamps were in my Crafty Angels DT kit. I have coloured the Magnolia Elephant with my Copics using the following colours...C1/C3 & C5. The papers are K&Co Blue Awning here and here and the cardstock is by Core-dinations. I used my Nestabilities to cut the yellow patterned paper layers....I used Labels One, Labels Two and Labels Four. The sentiment stamps is also by Magnolia and called Ton of Love. The only bits I have added that weren't in my kit were a large blossom that I got in a pound shop ages ago, and the black letter stickers that I added to the sentiment to read "We have a TON of love for you". I used some Ikea string for the hanging part and made the ends look like an Elephants tail (well I hope/think they do), and some ribbon from my kit.The swirls were cut using an EK Success punch, and the note card effect was done with my Stampin' Up! punch.

We hope you will come on over and join us....there is the chance to win a monthly prize for all that join us.....so pop over and take a look HERE.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch 12 by Katharina

This week over on Papertake Weekly Blog there is another fab sketch by Katharina. So here is my card. I have used one of my new hAnglar & stAnglaR Winter Club Kit stamps that finally arrived yesterday. I have coloured him with ProMarkers, using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Cocoa (Hair)
Cornflower (Hat & Jeans)
Ruby (Neck tie)
China Blue/Blue Pearl (Top)
Ice Grey 1 (Bicycle frame)
Ice Grey 3 (Tyre)
Spice (Basket)
Silver (Hat buckle)
Pastel Blue (Shadow)

The papers are Basic Grey "Cupcake", and the ribbon is by American Craft. I used my circle nestabilities for the circle around the stamped image and also the scalloped circle. Finally I used one of my new sentiments by Printworks from a pack called"Friendship Greetings" and added a few bits of bling.

I have been busy the last couple of days creating with October ScrapaGoGo Create Kit.....boy is it lush....can't how you yet, but pop over the ScrapaGoGo to see the kit, also on their blog are sneaky peeks of the DT work.

Tilda & Co Challenge 34 "Emboss This"

A little late, but this weeks challenge over on the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is "Emboss This". So what better excuse did I need tio get my new Cuttlebug out.

For this card I have used Forest Tilda (I think that was her name) coloured with my ProMarkers with a sentiment stamp by Hero Arts and a swirl by Autumn Leaves. All the papers are by My Minds Eye and are from the September ScrapaGoGo kit (I am using the pieces I didn't use in my designs this month). The flowers are by Prima with Flora Doodle brads by Petaloo (they are foam on the top with oodles of glitter on them...but you can't see that and were in the September kit too). The spacers are some I got in an old kit....not sure who from. I have used my new Nestabilities for the circle and scallop...yay first time I have used them.
