Cute Card Thursday - Blues and Hues!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Blog our theme is Blues and Hues...we want to see your creation using blue (or hues of blue) as the main colour...

Here is my card using a Saturated Canary image called Josephine which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all First Edition Neroli layered with some random blue Bazzill from my stash. I embellished with a Inkindinkado Quote stamp, I made the tag using a stamps and a tag punch, a CraftTime paper flower and some blue bling.

The Birthday Girl...

We had a birthday in the Sears household this week...Georgia turned 12 on Friday....So here is the card I made her...

Have you noticed a bit of a theme going on....Yes, I used Krista's Saturated Canary image called Best Friends Selfie, coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all by First Edition from the Neroli 6x6 paper pad and layered with some cardstock from my stash...usually Bazzill. I have embellished with a doily some old Heidi Swapp bling (the circle), AC Thickers, Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers and a Hero Arts sentiment stamp.

Georgia was really pleased with the card (coloured to look like her and her cousin Hannah)...she even took a photo and added it to InstaGram for her friends to see....

Pixie Dust Studios Challenge - Let's go on Safari!

This week over on the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog our theme is "Let's go on Safari". You can either use animals, animal print papers or jungle colours. For my card I have gone with an animal print.....can you see it?...it's the coloured Zebra paper behind the image.

So the image is obviousbly from Pixie Dust Studios, she is called "Let's Play Dress Up" and you can get her HERE. I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all Glitz Design "Hoopla" available HERE, and I have layered them with some Bazzill cardstock in Lemon/Lime. The glitter paper is from a Crafttime pad and I have embellished with some jet black bling, pearls and a Craftwork Cards circle sentiment.

It's a First!!!

So the first from me today is my First ever Gatefold Card....shocking I know.

Here it is....made using Miss Evie Patches available HERE in Rubber (what I used) and HERE as a digi.

I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are freebie digis from Two Peas in a Bucket and I have layered them up with some Dovecraft glittery cardstock in black. The flower was created with a Magnolia Doo-Hickey Peony Petals Die, and I have added a sparkly centre that I got at the NEC and also some Prima E bling. The sentiment is also by Craftwork Cards and I used some random black spotted ribbon.

Here is a picture with the card slightly open, and you can see it is all decorated inside and I added a Nestabilities label die so that there is a place to write. I cannot remember which set mine is, but any of the labels would work well, you can get a selection of them HERE.

Anyone for Anya? - Vintage White Colour Combo...

The papers are all My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy "True Blue" available HERE and I have added a layer of Dovecraft glitter cardstock to the base and also the the image. I have added a sentiment from the stamp set (Sk8er) and one of my ticket sentiments printed onto kraft cardstock. I get my kraft cardstock from Stampin' Up as I love using it and like to have a nice collection of it. As you can see I have embraced this weeks challenge and used plenty of kraft cardstock.

A Card for Hannah B...

Georgia received an invite to an old friend from infant school last week. We haven't seen Hannah B for about a year as they are now in different schools. So last week when we received an email invite Georgia was over the moon to be asked and today is the big day. As I type she is picking a swimsuit and outfit to wear.

I have embellished with the die-cuts and sentiements and then just added "Hannah" using AC fabric Thickers and some red bling. Hannah and her big sister Sophie both have the most gorgeous red hair, so I wanted to colour Miss Anya to try to match...I hope she likes it.

I am pleased with this card as it looks like she is rushing out of the Ball before the clock strikes midnight.
