Cute Card Thursday Challenge - Text Only!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is Text Only. So no stamped or digi images, the only images can be on the papers used. I decided to make my first Christmas Card of 2014...I know it's only May...LOL. So I used a new stamp that I got in the sale over on Craft Obsessions, it's by Hero Arts. I stamped with some VersaMagic ink in Platinum Planet and layered onto some red glitter cardstock. The other patterned papers are all Teresa Collins Santa's List and are also layered with either red shimmer cardstock of silver glitter paper. I finally added some ribbon that was from Asda in the sales after Xmas and also some sequins that came with the TC Santa's List papers from Create & Craft (also in the sale).

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations...they are all so varied...and gorgeous!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 45 "Valentines"

This week on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog the theme is "Valentines". For my card I have used my new(ish) Hero Arts "Four Dolls" stamps, and coloured them with Distress Inks (Tattered Rose & Worn Lipstick). I have kept the card fairy simple using just some Basic Grey "Bittersweet" papers, random ribbon and sentiments by Autumn Leaves....and that is it. But I love the card...I fell in love with these Hero Arts stamps as soon as I saw them.....they remind me of my Momiji dolls....

It seems like most challenges are having a Valentines/Love theme this week, so I have kept mine fairly loose so that it can be used as an anniversary card....I mean I only send 2 valentines cards a year...and there are loads more challenge blogs than that...LOL

As today is the 31st, this is officially my last day as a GoGo Girlie, so now I am looking for a new challenge....a new DT...

Over on the Ismaki Blog there is another fab sketch, this week provided by Kiki, and the chance to win a voucher from The Craft Barn. for my card I have used Angel Anya from The Greetings Farm...again, I just can't get enough of her. She has been coloured with Distress Inks in the following colours...
Tattered Rose (Skin)

The papers are all by Fancy Pants, blossoms by Prima, the pink buttons are also by Fancy Pants and the other is a random one from my stash, all finished off with a Hero Arts "coupon" sentiment stamp and a white heart pin with a little piece of ribbon on.

I decided Anya went so well with the sentiment as she looks like she is blowing kisses. Thanks Kiki, the sketch as always is fab and the DT cards are stunning, and all so different.

Ismaki #30

Ok, so I usually avoid the tricky sketches, but last night I bit the bullet and tried this weeks.
And here it is.....I have used a gorgeous Elisabeth Bell stamp from Whiff of Joy with a sentiment by Hero Arts. The papers are My Minds Eye, with the lace from the August ScrapaGoGo kit. The flowers are all by Prima with spacers kindly given to me by the gorgeous and stunning Marlene, held together with brads from my stash. I didn't like this initally and after looking at it for almost an hour, I added some Autumn Leaves swirl stamps to the plain bits...and now I think it is much better.

I have been asked a couple of times to list the colours I have used...so here goes. All are ProMarkers as follows...

Ivory, Vanilla & Blush (Face)
Cocoa (Hair)
Blossom (Jumper)
Amethyst (Trousers)
Cornflower (Mug & Socks)

Not sure if I will make another like it, as I don't think it's my style, but it's always good to try new things.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 16 "Nikki's Sketch"

This week over on A Spoon Full of Sugar there is a lovely sketch provided by Nikki. I have been struggling to keep up with all the challenges over the past week....what with the bathroom being done, cropping, and then having to work in the evenings to catch up on the work I missed the week before...so when I saw Nikki's simple/elegant sketch...it was a no brainer. I received my gorgeous new Elisabeth Bell stamps from A Whiff of Joy at the weekend and this one was calling out to be used. I have coloured her with my ProMarkers and added Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair and wings. The paper I used was a sheet of Prima "Iron Orchid Designs" Coquette collection and the sheet is called "Starlet" (wow what a long name...LOL), that was given to me on Sunday at the crop by Rachael...thanks Hun. I have also added some Prima flowers with a brad and spacer and gorgeous metallic purple ribbon from my stash....finished off with a little "bling". I finally added a "Birthday Wishes" sentiment by Hero Arts.

I am loving these new Elisabeth Bell images and cannot wait to see what new designs she is coming up with.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 26 "Pretty in Pink"

This weeks challenge over on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog is "Pretty in Pink". I got a bit carried away last night and ended up making two version...quite similar though.

In both the cards I have used hAnglar & stAnglar images, with sentiments by Hero Arts. All the papers and stickers used were Sassafras Lass, but I can't remember the range...will check later. I have also added some Prima flowers with buttons for centres.

Darn Blogger, I just accidentally deleted the image and will have to add it back when I get home. The other image was the H&S girl with watering can stamp....Finally I have added the 2nd card back. Also Leann was correct and the papers are Sassafras Lass Serendipity "Sunshine Lollipop".

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 17

I have had a busy weekend preparing for the arrival of the Plumbers to do my bathroom. But I did manage to find a little time to out this card together for Friday Sketchers....and finish off my ScrapaGoGo DT work. Anyway, back to the card. I have used a couple of hAnglar & stAnglar images, I think they call them students. I got them from http://www.inkywings.com/. They very occasionally have a few stamps that they sell for H&S...and I was lucky enough to get a couple of sets (and shared with a friend). I have used my ProMarkers to colour the images and added a little Sakura clear glitter gel pen to the buttons and the girls hair and necklace. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and to get it to echo the circle, I bent it before I put it on the acrylic block. The flowers are by Prima and the buttons are from my stash. All the papers used are by Sassafras Lass "Serendipity".

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 25 - In the water

This weeks challenge over on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog is "In the water". So I have made a larger A5 card this week, so that I could fit the scene on. I have used Tilda and the Jetty from the Summer Stamp Club. The Reeds were from the Sea & Summer 2008 collection. I have coloured all the images with my ProMarkers, and added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair and the water. The papers are Scenic Route "Grafton" the ribbon is American Craft, the flowers are by Prima. The spacers in the flowers were a gift from Marlene (my crafting bud...thanks Hun), but she does sell them in her eBay shop. The little tags were from Staples. All the sentiments are by Hero Arts.

I do love this challenge blog, it is one of my faves as you can use any stamps. Click on the link over on the right and see...the DT always produce some amazing cards and projects.

Citrus colours

I was colouring last night and these citrus colours were just calling out to me, begging to be used...as they are always neglected in favour of pinks. I have used Flower Power Tilda with a sentiment by Hero Arts. The papers are Chatterbox "Sun Room" that I bought in a kit with matching Bazzill (which I used a piece of for the base of the card), with ribbon from American Craft and Hobby Craft. I have used a sketch from Katharina that was on Papertake Weekly a couple of weeks back. I really love Katharina....her sketches are always fab. I haveused my ProMarkers to colour the image...I really love how quick and simple they are to use...and am already planning on which colours to buy next...LOL

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 13

This weeks sketch over on Friday Sketchers has been provided by Kimmie from Canada.
While in Hobby Craft on Thursday morning I picked up a pack of Letraset Promarkers, and this is my first ever card with them. I only have 10 colours....but have some skin tones and 6 colours on the way. I am impressed, they are easy to use, and I think the results are fab. Not sure how they compare to the well loved Copics...I thought they were way to expensive. At £1.80 per pen (http://www.sillymonkeycrafts.co.uk/) which is the cheapest I have found...even cheaper than buying from the Letraset website. I also used my fabby new Cuttlebug.....yes I succumbed and bought one. CraftsULove (http://www.craftsulove.co.uk/) had a promotion...£49.99...so even though I was going to wait until after our holiday...it was too good an offer to miss. Obviously I couldn't just buy the bug....I needed some embossing folders.....and after my holiday I want to get some Nestabilities.

Anyway, for the card I have used Basic Grey "Cupcake" papers with Bazzill cardstock embossed with the "Spots & Dots" folder. All images are Magnolia and the sentiment is by Hero Arts. The final touch was some button brads by Karen Foster which were part of an old ScrapaGoGo kit.

So all in all....I am loving the new Letraset Promarkers, and cannot wait to build my collection of colours.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 10 - Animal Magic

Here is my card for this weeks challenge over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog. This week the theme is "Animal Magic" and I am a cat lover so used my gorgeous hAnglar & stAnglar stamp for this card. The kittens in the basket was a stamped image given to me ages ago by Kim in a swap...thanks Hun. For the rest of the card I have used Basic Grey "Blush" papers, which I also used to make a paper bloom. I have then used a button and thread to hold it together and attached it with 3D pop-up glue dots. The ribbon is choc chic taffeta by Stampin' Up and I added some pearl bling and finally a sentiment by Hero Arts.

Tonight I really must get cracking on a card for my Dad's birthday in August. I am not sure if the card will involve any stamping....but I did buy an embroidered pint of beer...with sequins, so may well use that.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 20 "Things that grow"

Ok, so here is the card I made for this weeks challenge on Cute Card Thursday. I stamped and coloured the image at home and put together the card at Marlene's house with full access to all the amazing stash in her craft room.

The images are both by hAnglar & stAnglar and I used the masking technique to get them closer together. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. The papers are a mixutre of Cosmo Cricket "Dutch Girl" (how appropriate that a Dutch Girl let me use them...LOL) and My Minds Eye. The flowers are by Making Memories and Prima and the button is by Chatterbox. The ribbon is lush velvet and came from Marlene's extensive ribbon stash. The centres of the flowers are red bling. The sketch is a lovely one from Katarina. I saw it on Marlene's desk and just wanted to use it.

After a lovely long lie-in this morning....we didn't get up until 8.45am, I am busy packing as I am off on a scrapping weekend with the Wyverstone Crop ladies.....Janice, Lorraine and the rest of the gang. I am going to get to meet up with my GoGo DTY buds Ifa, Eileen, Karen, Nicola, KarenM and Sue (who I have not had the pleasure of meeting before). My bedroom bud again this year is the lovely Ifa....so I am sure that I don't snore as she was happy to share with me again...LOL

Anyway, I better get my butt off this computer and finish packing clothes.
