Here is a card I made using this weeks sketch over on the Friday Sketchers challenge blog. The main image is "Oliver" from the Oliver & Amelia "Happy Days" set by The Greeting Farm. They are due to be released on March 1st, but Marie put a limited amount of them up for sale on January 1st and I was lucky enough to get hold of them.

I have coloured Oliver with my Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - B93/B95/B97/B21/B24/E49
Dinosaurs - YG91/YG95/W5
The papers are all Basic Grey "Granola" and I have added some raffia, buttons and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

I loved colouring Oliver...he saw such fun. Be sure to check the DT cards over on Friday Sketchers as they are well worth a browse for inspiration.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Can You Feel It!

This weeks challenge over on Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog has been set by Sandie, and the theme she has chosen is "Can You Feel It!", she wants to see texture on your cards or projects.

For my project I have made another Easel Card Calendar. I have used DCWV "La Creme" 8x8 paper stack. This pad includes some gorgeous flocked papers....including the one I have used for the front of my calendar. I have also added some satin ribbon, a marabou feather, a pearl pin, sentiment by Craftwork Cards (circle one). I have used my Nestie labels to cut the shields for the front and the stamp I used on the inside is by Technique Tuesday "Loving Words" by Ali Edwards.
Here is a view from another angle, as you can see it is decorated on all sides...

Anyone for Anya? - That's Charming!

This week onver on the Anyone for Anya? Challenge Blog our theme is "That's Charming!". We want to see you use a charm somewhere on your card or project. We are sponsored again this week by Karen's Doodles, we are also joined by two Guest DT's...Tracey and Tracy.

For my card I have used one of the new Wild Sprouts released on 1st January, she has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Eyes - B00
Clothing - C0/C1/C2/C3/RV02/RV04
The papers are from an unmarked pad I got at the NEC back in 2009. I have embellished with a feather from Craft Fairy, a cherry blossom flower from Wild Orchid Crafts, a sentiment by Craftwork Cards and a couple of heart pins that I got from a floristry wholesalers. For my charm I used some frosted Shrink Plastic and stamped my images and coloured it with Copics in the same colours as the main image. I love making little charms with Shrink Plastic....and Georgia is forever trying to pinch them after I have made them...LOL

So more snow is forecast for today, and overnight...but thankfully so far we have only has some tiny flurries....can you tell I am bored with the snow now...the novelty as well and truly worn off!

Lili of the Valley - Spring 2010 Sneak Peek...

Here is your first peek at one of the new stamps in the Lili of the Valley Spring 2010 release which will be available later this month.

This image is called "Baby Boy" and I have coloured him with Copics (sorry don't remember all the colours). The papers are DCWV "Nana's Kitchen" and I have layered them with some Coredinations "Whitewash" cardstock in blue and green. I have added a couple of Doodlebug buttons and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

Be sure to check out the other LOTV DT members (links to the right) and see more of the new stamps...remember you only have to wait until the end of the month. Sorry we are unsure of the exact date as the weather has caused a delay in their launch.

I have entered this card into this weeks challenge on Papertake Weekly whose theme is New Beginnings...so what better than a new baby card.

Squiggle Easel Card Calendar

By now you will have noticed that I have made a few of these Easel Card Calendars....so here is another that I made with one of the new Squiggle Stamps coming later this month. She is called Chatty Girl. I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - Y21/YG03/BG11/BG13/R05
The papers are DCWV from "The Doodlin' Around Stack", and I have layered them with some red cardstock that is in the Provocraft pad for the Cricut. I cut some of the words out of the paper and mounted them onto 3D foam so that the calendar would stay up when opened. All I added to that was a calendar.

Here is a view from another angle...

Anya Ink - Black & White Plus One

Here is another Easel Card Calendar that I have made for this weeks challenge over on Anya Ink. There theme this week is Black & White plus one other colour. Cute Card Thursday - All New!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is "All New!". We want you to make a card or project featuring something new. It can be new stash, new baby, new job, new school term, new year.....whatever "NEW" you can think of. This week we are sponsored by the lovely Kimmie of Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps, and she has kindly donated a prize of three stamps of the winners choice....and that includes the new release due out on January 10th...how cool is that.

So onto my project...
For this week I have made another Easel Card Calendar. There is no stamped image this time, as I made it for Georgia's techer and gave it to her on Monday. The papers are all DCWV "Grade School", and my theme is...New Year (2010 Calendar) and New School Term. I have embellished this one by adding some small records cards that I cut down and attached with a paper clip to make a little note pad. I cut the parts of the papers up to add "I Love My Teacher", "Back to School" and also the apple and the A+. The owl, apple and the tag are 3D embellishments also from DCWV. The gingham ribbon on the left is to hold a pen so that when she needs one...it will always be there.

Here is a photo from the side to show that it is decorated on all side...even the bottom.

Georgia's teacher loved it, and it now has pride of place on her desk (along with a card I made for her on Georgia's first day).

Be sure to hop on over to the Cute Card Thursday blog to see the rest of the DT's fab creations...and also our Guest DT Norma.

Lili of the Valley - Thank You!

This week over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog our theme is "Thank You". We want to see your thank you cards or projects. For my card I have made another Easel Card Calendar...got to use those calendars up...lol

The image is by Lili of the Valley and is called "Teddy with Bouquet". I have coloured him with Copics using the following colours...
Bear - E30/E31/E33/E35
Bouquet - BG10/BG11/BG13/R02/R04
The papers are DCWV "Doodlin' Around" and I have just embellished with a couple of Craftwork Cards sentiments, some pearl bling from my stash, and a calendar by Anita's.

People are always telling me that they hate to put away the cards that I have made them...so by adding a calendar I have made the card functional for the whole year...

Here is an image from the side showing that it is decorated inside and out...and even on the bottom.
Be sure to pop over to see what the rest of the DT have come up with. Today I also received the new Spring images, so keep popping back here as I will have some sneak peeks to show you....they are so cute, you will be unable to resist them...

Be sure to pop back later to see my card for this weeks challenge on Cute Card Thursday.

Easel Card Calendar...

Back in September last year I bought some little calendars by Anita's from The Range and I suddenly remembered that I hadn't made the calendars that I planned with Georgia. So in a bid to not waste them, I have been busily making Easel Card Calendars. So far I have made five, and here are two of them. You will see some of the others later in the week...

This first one is using DCWV "The Doodle Around Stack" and I have just added a little bear cut with my Go-Kreate dies and a bit of ribbon and bling, plus of course I made her a little notepad. The idea of the ribbons is to that she can tie a pen to it. The theme of this one is school...September 2 July, Monday 2 Friday.
Here it is from the side....
This one was for my friends Lynsey. I have used some gorgeous WRMK "Tiffanys" papers that are gorgeous and all glittered. I have also added some chipboard letters saying "It's a Date" plus a couple of chipboard flowers covered in bling and a crocheted flower and a fabric flower. Again I have added some ribbon so that she can tie a pen on.
Here is a side view.

I am still so thankfully that the fabby DawnyP sent me an Easel card for Christmas...so that I could work out how to make one...LOL

Today is so bitterly cold, with snow forecast...which is pretty much the story for the whole country.

Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge - Recycle!

This week over on the Crafty Angels Weekly Challenge Blog, Kate challenged us to use something recycled on our cards/projects. This had me stumped for a while.....I just couldn't think of anything. After searching for what seemed like an age I remembered I had these cute cards that I got in the Paperchase sale. Originally they were Christmas cards...very simple but they were flocked and foiled and totally stunning, they even came is an equally stunning box (which I am obviously going to do something with....LOL).

So I cut one down so that it would go through by Big Shot and used my Nestabilites to cut the sentiment part out. I then added a couple of cute spotted bows and an image by The Greeting Farm that I coloured with Copics. On the inside I used some gorgeous pearlescent papers that I got from Craftwork Cards and then placed the bit that I punched out of the front on the inside, I covered the "Merry Christmas" with "Happy Birthday" that is also by Craftwork Cards. The feathers and dotty bows are by Craft Fairy.
Here is an image from another angle...
I just got so carried away once I got started that I used the same card but this time all I did was punch the front as I did in the previous card and the did the same inside...this would work to hide any words if the card had already been used.
Finally I made this one using DCWV "Green Stack" which is made from 70% recycled paper...
Basically all I did with this one is use scraps of the paper and then cut out the skunk from the paper add the wording with a ATB tape writer, add a Craftwork Cards sentiment and a little bling.

Be sure to come over and see what the rest of the DT came up with....and maybe even play along with us, and get yourself back in the swing of things...

For my card I have used a digi images called "Pretty Head Rachael" and I have coloured her with Copics. The papers are all from the Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad called "Sugar Rush". I have embellished with lace from TabbyCrafts, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, a red dotty bow from Craft Fairy some pearl bling and a couple of pearl pins. Finally I have finished off with a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

TGF Sketches

I have been busily following the sketches over on The Greeting Farm....all 12 of them. So far I have completed 10 of 12...just 2 more to finish today...

So here are a couple of them...
Sketch #5

For this sketch I have used one of the digi images and flipped him so that I could create a card that looked like they were fighting each other. I have coloured the images with Copics and used the new Basic Grey "Origins" papers with just the addition of four brads and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

Sketch #6

For this card I have also used Digi Autumn Ian coloured with Copics. The papers are all Basic Grey "Archaic" and again as it is a male card I have just added four brads and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

I have more of my cards I made with the sketches to show tomorrow...

Happy New Year One and All

Wishing you all a happy & prosperous 2010.
