"No Lines" Colouring Technique...

So you may has seen/heard about the "no lines" colouring technique. I had finally decided to have a try...it looks difficult...but this week I challenged myself to have a go, and today I am sharing my results.

I took one of the new Magnolia stamps...she is called Love Love Love Tilda. I have stamped her three times onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock with three different coloured Memento Inks...left to right...Tuxedo BlackLondon Fog & Summer Sky.

Each image was coloured with Copics using the same colours so that you get a direct comparison. I am not sure which of them I prefer and that is pretty much down to personal preference...when I asked my daughter she liked the left hand image in the conventional Tuxedo Black...as for me, I am undecided.

So here is the card I made with the image...well one of them...and after all my hard work I had to use the "no lines" version...
The papers are all Cosmo Cricket Summer Love layered onto Bazzill Cardstock inElephant I have added a doily, some stitched ribbon, a heart paperclip, a small red foam rose and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

I would love to hear your comments...What do you think? Which version do you prefer?

For me it's the black version, mainly due to the eyes.

I think my preference is the middle one.. love the colours you've used on her dress too.

I had a go at the no lines technique recently Caz... I just used the memento black, but stamped it two or three times first so it was very very pale on the image I wanted to colour. After I'd coloured, I redid her eyes with a fine black pen.
