Cute Card Thursday - Touchy Feely!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday our theme is Touchy Feely, we want to see your creations with texture, whether that has been achieve with embossing, ribbons, fabric, flowers, flocked papers...we want to wish we could touch it! We are sponsored by Toucan Scraps and are joined by our April Guest DT...Barbara.

For my card I have used one of the new Wild Rose Studios stamps called "Milton with Teddy", you can get them from Dies to Die For....although I think he is out of stock at the moment...on backorder. I have coloured him with Copics (available from Tracy @ Dies to Die For) using the following colours...
Bear - E30/E31/E33/R20/E51
Teddy - V91/V95
The papers are by Toucan Scraps from the "Weathered" digi paper kit and I have layered them some Bazzill cardstock. I have embellished with some gorgeous lace and a flower from Wild Orchid Crafts, some heart pins from Creative Treasures, and some raffia and pearl bling from my stash. Again I have created this sentiment using word....I am looooovving these tickets....

Be sure to check out the rest of the Cute Card Thursday DT's creations.

Today I am busy getting my weekend DT commitments completed as I am off on a weekend retreat. A Touch of Craft in Bury St Edmunds doing three Donna Downey classes...including the Fabric Scrapbooking class on the Saturday...all day....cannot wait. So I will be busy printing pics, packing my tool kit, and getting my weekend cards all ready....no rest for the wicked.

Lili of the Valley - Sketch by Bev

This week over on the Lili of the Valley challenge blog we have a gorgeous sketch provided by the lovely Bev. When I saw the sketch I thought it would make a great tent card.....so I made one.
I have used one of the new Lili of the Valley bears that are due for release on 21st April (not much longer to wait now...if Ally), and he has been coloured with Copics. The papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety" (I mean he does look like he is slacking off from some gardening chores doesn't he...notice how I am saying he is definately male...LOL) and I have layered them with some Bazzill bling cardstock. The aperture was created using my trusty Nestabilities, and I have embellished with some ribbon from my stash, and some flowers and pins from Creative Treasures. The sentiment I have created myself in word....get me. I really love the Tim Holtz "Adage" tickets but wanted other sentiments...and the Autumn Leaves ones are more "scrappy" in style....so I made these...with changeable sentiments...

Here is another picture from a slight angle.
Be sure to come over to the Lili of the Valley challenge blog and join us.

Wild Card Wednesday - Inspiration

Today over on the Club Anya & Friends blog it is Wild Card Wednesday and Kelly has provided us a picture for inspiration. For my card I picked the white background and the colours of the cushions as my inspiration.

I have used one of the Cheeky Cherry images, this one is called "Rockabilly" and I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Eyes - B12
Hair - W5/W7/W9
Clothing - R37
The papers are patterned papers are Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird" and I have used some DCWV (Orange) & Coredinations (Blue & Red) cardstock, the papers and cardstock have all been distressed with an emery board. I have used my EK Success "Dotted Wave" border punch, Tim Holtz "Adage" tickets, a heart pin and Fancy Pants star pin, red dotted bow. The film strip acetate ribbon is also by Tim Holtz, and I have added a button from my stash...pretty sure it is an old Autumn Leaves one.

I have also used the sketch over on the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge blog, and the theme on Papertake Weekly (Cute). Be sure to check out all three blogs to see some amazing creations.

Craftin' with the Kids...

Morning all, it's a beautiful morning here in my part of the UK...hope it is for you too.

Yesterday my daughter Georgia and I did a spot of crafting together using some of the Squiggle digi images. I love how quick and simple they are to use, and I can print a whole page of images for her to sit and colour...

So here are our cards...
Caz
I have used the Home Sweet Home digi image, and what an absolute bargain it is at just 99p and it drops straight into your inbox ready to be printed...no waiting for the pesky postman. I have made a key shaped card using a leaflet I received at the NEC craft show last month as a template to draw around. So that it would stand up I have attached it to an acetate card. I have coloured the house with my Copics using the following colours...
House - BG10/BG72/R17/YG03/E51/E47
The papers are all Crate Paper "Season" collection and I have used a rainbow and cloud stickers from the same range. I have added a sentiment by Craftwork Cards, and the rest of the sentiment has been done using my ATB tape writer. Apart from that all I added was a heart pin, a red dotted ribbon bow and the keyring bit is my Making Memories (been floating around my stash for a couple of years).

Georgia
Georgia has used the Fairy Gifts digi which we have printed out quite large. We used windows to print and printed 4 images on a sheet of A4...so she is approx A6 in size. Georgia has coloured with her Promarkers and added bling to fairy's crown....a girl needs to sparkle you know! She also made the flowers herself with a die I bought at the Ally Pally show this past weekend from Little Claire Designs. Basically it is like you are making a quilling flower but the edges are a little ruffled with makes the roses look so much more interesting.

Don't forget the April competition to be in with a chance of winning all those yummy goodies you just need to make a card with the sketch featuring a Squiggle image...details are HERE.

Well I am off now, got to make the most of the glorious sunshine...

Anyone for Anya? - Get in Shape!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? blog our theme is "Get in Shape". Now I am a complete numpty and thought we had to make a shaped card...when it was actually a 3-2-1 recipe challenge using shapes. So basically we want to see 3 different shapes on your card but 3 of 1 shape, 2 of another and 1 of a yet another. You can count your base card as 1 shape if you want to, and you can use whatever shapes you want.

So my card kind of can meet the challenge...purely by chance...
I used three triangles of cardstock, two images, and it made one pyramid (card).......can I be forgiven LOL.

The images on this card are The Greeting Farm digi stamps called Dressy Edward & Dressy Joyce, they have both been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothes - Joyce - BG10/BG11/BG13/R29
Clothes - Edward - E44/E47/E49/R29
The papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird" and the cardstock is Coredinations. I have added some sentiments with Inkadinkado quote stamp, and Craftwork Cards sentiments. The embellishments are pretty minimal on this one, with just a red spotted bow from Craft Fairy, A red heart pin and some Doodlebug ribbon.

I have included some extra pics...

Be sure to hop on over to the Club Anya & Friends blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with....you won't be disappointed.

More with Shrink Plastic...

This week I have been having a real play with Shrink Plastic. I have made a couple of keyrings and also a necklace....I have shown pics of all but this one. I have used one of the digi images from The Greeting Farm, this one is called "Twisted Tea" I printed it in A5 format and then coloured it with my Copics. After shrinking I added a keyring and hook, plus some ribbon which I have just tied on to the ring and also a piece tied into a bow. I kept it pretty simple, and now it is happily adorning my handbag.

Off to bed now as I am off to Ally Pally tomorrow for the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show....yay.

Be sure to pop back later on today to see my Club Anya & Friends "Sketchy Saturday" card.

It's Squiggle Time....

So, it's Tuesday again, and my turn to take over the Squiggle blog. Yesterday I was using Shrink Plastic to make a necklace for an ABC challenge (Anything But a Card), and decided to make some keyrings too. I have made the one above with the Fairy Gifts & Fairy Wishes digi images...you can just use one if you like, but at £1.99 each and available instantly they are such good value. The Shrink Plastic sheets are A4 so I printed two images per sheet and coloured them with my Copics. When colouring them you must try not to colour over the printed lines as it does stain the nib of your Copic, also the colours will become stronger when you shrink them. Once coloured I punched a hole in them using the largest hole punch on my Cropadile, and then heated them using my heat gun. If you have never used Shrink Plastic before remember to use something to hold the image still (I used tweezers) as they will blow around and also get extremely hot so don't use your hand....I managed to burn my arm on the desk afterwards....I forgot it would be warm for a while...lol. My 7 year old daughter Georgia picked up all the offcuts and wrote her name and drew pictures and we then made a hole in them and shrank them....now she has added them all to a little keyring....so keep the scraps as the kids will manage to use even the smallest pieces. Have a go over the Easter break...the kids can join in and will love the results.

I have also made a card using the same digi image....showing how versatile they are. I have also used the April Challenge Sketch by Tracy. I have coloured the main image again with Copics and the papers are all Bo Bunny "Love Bandit"...you can get both the Copics and Bo Bunny papers from Tracy @ Dies to Die For...plus a host of other wonderful products...

Be sure to join in with April Challenge to be in with a chance of winning a fab prize including stamps and a Cosmo Cricket paper pad...I am a little jealous as I wanted that pad and it is out of stock everywhere.

So come on, get those Squiggle images coloured and join in with April's challenge.

This week over on the Club Anya & Friends blog the challenge is ABC (Anything But a Card). I decided to make a necklace with one of the digi Creepy Cakes. I printed her out onto Shrink Plastic (approx A5 in size) and coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Eyes - B21
Hair - W1/W2
Clothing - W0/W1/W2/W3/W5/W7/W9/R29
I have used a couple of jump rings and a piece of Doodlebug ribbon, to fasten the ribbon I have used velcro.

Georgia tried to walk off with this before I even had a chance to finish it off...that girl is addicted to Shrink Plastic!
