Cute Card Thursday - Bling it Up!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is Bling it Up! We want to see sparkly and shiny stuff on your cards. For my card I have used a Saturated Canary digi image called Winnie which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all by First Edition from the Up Up Away paper pad and layered with some Bazzill cardstock. I cut some clouds from one of the papers and added lots of Stickles, plus added some Sakura Glitter Gel pen to her hair. Finished off with some ribbon, a couple of pins and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Die-ing for a Challenge - Anything Goes!

This month over on the Dies to Die For Blog our Die-ing for a Challenge theme is Anything Goes. For my card I decided to put the stamps and Copics aside and use my dies...

I have used the Die-namics Fishtail Stax, Nestabilities Ovals and the Scalloped Oval dies, Lil' Inker Designs Cloud Dies and Mini Pinwheel Die. The papers are all My Minds Eye Summer Splash. The stamped sentiment is also by Lil' Inker Designs and is from the Pinwheel Sentiment Stamp Set.

Cute Card Thursday - Back to School!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is "Back to School". So we want to see your school themed cards and projects. I decided to make a Bookmark as Georgia always needs new ones at the start of each school year. (The bookmark is just siting on the edge of some cardstock to show you).

I have used a Saturated Canary Digi image called Hipster which I have coloured with Copics (just can't remember what colours I used). The sentiment is by Tim Holtz and I have added some grosgrain ribbon and a couple of heart pins.

I have been asked before how I do the girls eyes....well I add white gel pen to the highlights and then when that is dried I cover the eye with Glossy Accents to make them look all shiny.

I still love these Gorjuss Girls...I love the innocence of their faces...

This week over on Saturated Canary Challenge Blog our theme is "The Great Outdoors" and for my card in honour of the Olympics in London (just 45 miles away) I decided to use the Olympics image which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...

The papers are all PaperMania Portobello Road and I have layered them with some Craftwork Cards cardstock. I created the banner with my Die-namics Fish Tail Banner to which I have added some Making Memories alphas. I have also added a Team GB "tattoo" that I got in Asda while shopping a while back.

Cute Card Thursday - Clean & Simple!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog our theme is Clean & Simple...not something that I do on a regular basis..

For my card I have used all thing Craftwork Cards as I think there products really lend themself to a clean, simple and elegant card. I have used their Stardust cardstock the patterned papers are also by Craftwork Cards called Tres Chic (not available anymore) as is the frame diecut. The Eiffel Tower was cut with a Die-namics Die available HERE out of glitter paper/cardstock and finished off with a Craftwork Cards sentiment and some black tulle.

A Little bit of Gorjuss...

One of my favourite Gorjuss images is I Found My Family in a Book, so I just had to make a card with the new release...HERE which when you get to checkout will have a 20% discount applied...making her just £5.20. Not only does that include the main image, but also a paper doll chain, a couple of hearts and also the bookplate sentiment. Saturated Canary Tourist!

I found this card on a "Draft post in Blogger...seems I never shared it with all of you...so here it is now. The image  is called Tourist and I have coloured her with Copics...but don't remember the actual colours I used. I also used the Stamping Bella Polaroid Stamp and put a piece of the Heidi Swapp No Limits paper in the centre. I also added a Jenni Bowlin ticket with an old Making Memories clip with a heart shape. I also used a camera stamp from There She Goes along with the "Smile" sentiment, and the "Oh Snap" is by Unity Stamps (one of the bitty stamps) . Finished off with some bling, Tim Holtz wordfetti type stickers and Washi tape.

Cute Card Thursday - So Distressing!

I am a couple of days late adding my Cute Card Thursday card...but here is it...

As we are sponsored this week by Bugaboo Stamps I have used one of the Stella & Gus stamps called Duct Tape which I have coloured with Copics using the following colours...W0/W1/W/W3/W5/R37/R39/E30/E31. Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge #1

 

Recently I was asked to join the newly reformed Crafty Bloggers Network and this week is the first of the new challenge, wil the new DT.

 This week our theme is Anything Goes!

 

I decided to play with my new Lil' Inker Designs dies. The bow is available HERE. It is currently showing as sold out...but just email Laura (the Owner) and she will let you know when more are coming in. I used some Craftwork Cards shimmer cardstock for the base, some white linen cardstock for the shirt and the bow was cut from the same shimmer cardstock. I added a There She Goes Clear Stamps sentiment and some clear bling for the buttons to finish off.

Dies to Die For...

Here is a card I made using a new Uptown Girl from Stamping Bella. She is called Isabella loves her Icecream and I have stamped her using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock. I have coloured her with Copics uisng the following colours...

The papers are all American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neopolitan and I have layered them with some pink Bazzill Cardstock. I have used a couple of different dies on this card....Die-namics Cloud Trio die (which I also used the edge of to ink around with chalk ink on my image) and the Die-namics Fishtail Banner attached to some Divine Twine in Cotton Candy and finished off with some pearl bling and a little Stickles in Star Dust on the icecream. The sentiment is the one that comes with the stamp. Check out the stock of Uptown Girls HERE....they are gorgeous and I believe Tracy is still waiting for another order to arrive to clear the out of stocks.

Lil' Inker Designs Dies...

I was recently searching for a Takeout Coffee Cup Die, and found a lovely card on Etsy....so I dropped the seller a quick message to ask her who made the die...and although she couldn't remember, she did remember that it was a die and stamp set....so off to Google I went. After a few hours searching I found them.....and made my purchase...Lil' Inker Designs Coffee Cozy Die & Stamp Set. I also found the most amazing tutorial on how to use them, I had struggled in the past to line up the stamps and dies....and now I actually know how to use the registration marks on the dies.

Shortly after my first order arrived (actually I think it was the next day) I went and ordered the Small Bow Die, Large Bow Die, Mini Pinwheel Die and Original Pinwheel Die. I have added one of the small bows to this card and the sentiment came from the die and stamp set. The papers are Glitz Designs Beautiful Dreamer layered with Bazzill Kraft cardstock.

Laura at Lil' Inkers is lovely and so helpful...and her shipping was fast. I am already thinking of my next order.....think it will be the Rainbows & Clouds Set.

This month over on the Dies to Die For blog it's time dor another Die-ing for a Challenge...this month it was my turn to pick the theme and I decided I wanted Pink & Green.

The papers are all Teresa Collins Everyday Moments layered using Bazzill cardstock. I added some bling to finish off. I cut the fishtail shape using my craft knife, but you can also use a Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax.

Smash*ing - Featured on the Official Smash Blog...

If you love to SMASH* then there are some fab groups on Facebook. Firstly if you are in the UK there is SMASH* UK (a small closed group with predominently Brits where we host swaps and there's the occasional giveaway...we currently need about 7 new members for a giveaway from Angel Crafts....some fab Washi Tape).

The other groups are much larger with an International membership. Smash*aholics is an open group and there are ladies and men from all over the world. They also have a closed group of those of you that prefer closed groups...I know I do so that I don't flood the newsfeed of friends/family that don't craft or Smash*.
