Anya Ink - One Layer Cards...

The challenge over on Anya Ink this week was One Layer Cards (one piece of cardstock including the card itself). For my card I took a piece of white cardstock and created a scalled card which I then ran through my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I then ran some VersaMagic chalk ink over it to make it stand out. Where the embossing finished on the card I used some pearl bling on a strip (Mark Richards ones). The main image has been layered onto a scrap of the same cardstock which I have coloured to match the chalk ink. The image is a Wild Sprout called Chelsea from The Greeting Farm which has been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - BG09/C5/C7/C9/BG10
I have further embellished with a marabou feather from Craft Fairy, some ribbon that was from a gift wrapping set I had, a heart pin and two pearl pins. I have finished off with a sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

Be sure to pop on over as the DT have made some fab one layer cards....and who knows you may be chosen in their "Top Three"....I was last week.

Hi Caz,
Fantastic card as the colours are so vibrant. The feathers that you had from me are so dramatic. I think that you make the best use of them too. Reminds me to get more in for the next show.

Hugs,

Yvonne

Oh my!! I just grabbed a few minutes to have a little browse in bloglines and saw this super fab card!! Just had to "come over" and post a quick comment!! Such a scrummy card, LOVE LOVE LOVE it, the feather and Ribbon is just yum. The feather reminds me of my wedding invites (years ago now LOL) Must use some on some cards, thanks for the motivation xoxo
