Boy hAnglar & stAnglar card...

I was so short of time this weekend that I didn't even look at any of the card making challenge blogs...I just did my own thing....and here it is. I haver used a H&S image that I was given earlier in the year....Thanks Hun (you know who you are...). The papers are all Prima Marketing "Dude" with the sentiment done using my ATB tape writer. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers...I love them so....LOL

I had a fab day yesterday at the crop. I only managed to do one 12x12 as I was busy working on my Holiday Album...."Memories of Looe". I completed another 6 pages in there....they are 10.5 x 6. I should be finished it very soon, and will take pics of it...plus the LO later and load them up.

Magnolia Fall Stamp Club

I know we are all eagerly awaiting Mr Postie this morning, praying that our Fall Stamp Club Kit arrives from Magnolia in Sweden. But for those of you too impatient to wait, here is a pic of those stamps (Thanks Annie). Looks like we have another cute set.

I am looking forward to seeing the first cards made with these beauties.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 15 "Anything but a card"

The challenge this week over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Blog is to make "Anything but a card". So after making a bookmark for another challenge (and Georgia snaffling it) I decided to make one for myself. For mine I used a piece of chipboard for the base, and covered it with Sassafras Lass Serendipity "Sunshine Lollipop" papers. I added some Prima blossoms and a flora doodles brad by Petaloo, and some stickers from Sassafras Lass and alpha's by Making Memories. The tassle I made using embroidery floss. I am so pleased with it, and definately keeping this one for myself....I just love those Sassafras Lass papers...I also love the word Sassafrass...sassafras, sassafras, sassafras.....OK, it's out of my system now....LOL

It's crop day tomorrow, and I am looking forward to catching up with everyone as I had to miss the August crop as David had to work.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 26 "Pretty in Pink"

This weeks challenge over on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog is "Pretty in Pink". I got a bit carried away last night and ended up making two version...quite similar though.

In both the cards I have used hAnglar & stAnglar images, with sentiments by Hero Arts. All the papers and stickers used were Sassafras Lass, but I can't remember the range...will check later. I have also added some Prima flowers with buttons for centres.

Darn Blogger, I just accidentally deleted the image and will have to add it back when I get home. The other image was the H&S girl with watering can stamp....Finally I have added the 2nd card back. Also Leann was correct and the papers are Sassafras Lass Serendipity "Sunshine Lollipop".

The Hanglar Happy Dance

I am so lucky to have a friend here who has a friend in Sweden who has been so kind and ordered me lots of gorgeous hAnglar & stAnglar stamps. I received the first order a couple of months ago, and in August when the new Club Kit was announced, I asked her to order them, plus some others for me.....and today I had confirmation that she did order them all for me, so fingers crossed in the next couple of weeks I will have some new babies to play with.

Not only that, but when I emailed Karin in Sweden and asked whether she would be able to order the Halloween stamps and also the Wedding couple.....she said YES....so even more happy dancing. And the best bit about it...her Husband is English, so he has a UK bank account still, making payment to them for the stamps a doddle....it really is a dream come true.

So a HUGE THANK YOU to Karin for making me smile.

On another note, my bathroom is almost done. The shower enclosure and shower are in, the towel radiator is in. The sink and cupboard are just being fitted now then all that is left is the toilet and some pipe boxing in and tiling. The poor guys cannot both work in there at the same time as like most modern houses...the bathroom is, as I like to call it...compact & bijou....others will call it pokey, but who spends hours in their bathroom anyway, so it will do.

Tilda & Co Challenge 34 "Emboss This"

A little late, but this weeks challenge over on the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is "Emboss This". So what better excuse did I need tio get my new Cuttlebug out.

For this card I have used Forest Tilda (I think that was her name) coloured with my ProMarkers with a sentiment stamp by Hero Arts and a swirl by Autumn Leaves. All the papers are by My Minds Eye and are from the September ScrapaGoGo kit (I am using the pieces I didn't use in my designs this month). The flowers are by Prima with Flora Doodle brads by Petaloo (they are foam on the top with oodles of glitter on them...but you can't see that and were in the September kit too). The spacers are some I got in an old kit....not sure who from. I have used my new Nestabilities for the circle and scallop...yay first time I have used them.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge - We're Back!

So we are back after our short break, I hope you all had fun making our "Seasons" theme ATC's...I know I did. Anyway, there have been a few changes this week, after some discussion it has been decided that Tilda is going to be allowed some company on our ATC's, after all we are called "Tilda & Friends". So from this week onwards you are able to use Sugar Nellies (with the exception of the Sweet Ebony range), Cuddly Buddly's ( but not the animals), hAnglar & stAnglar (soon to be available from Sugar Nellie via Funky Kits) and the Country Girls from Alota stamps. So for this week I have used one of my hAnglar images, and not only have I made an ATC, but I have made the ATC into a card....

The papers I have used are by Scenic Route "Grafton" with some ribbon from the September ScrapaGoGo kit...and gorgeous it is too.....check the site out as they had some single purchase kits available without the need to subscribe....should you want to try one out. So back to the card, I use my ATB Tape Writer to create the sentiment on the ATC.

So come on over and join us...even if you don't want to trade ATC's.....you can just turn them into cards.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 12 "Stars & Stripes"

This weeks challenge over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog is "Stars & Stripes". I was lucky enough to receive this (and loads of others) from the lovely Annie when we met up last month. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers. The papers used are all Scenic Route "Grafton" and also one of the "Grafton" die-cut journal blocks. The sentiment has been added with Doodlebug "So Sweet" alphabet stickers.

Things are quieter here today as the Plumbers have ripped out the bathroom and have laid the new floor tiles...so they have finished for the day....I am nervous and excited about the bathroom. Worried that it will all look ok, and excited and wanting it to be fabulous. Oh well, I only have to wait until Friday to see it finished.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 17

I have had a busy weekend preparing for the arrival of the Plumbers to do my bathroom. But I did manage to find a little time to out this card together for Friday Sketchers....and finish off my ScrapaGoGo DT work. Anyway, back to the card. I have used a couple of hAnglar & stAnglar images, I think they call them students. I got them from http://www.inkywings.com/. They very occasionally have a few stamps that they sell for H&S...and I was lucky enough to get a couple of sets (and shared with a friend). I have used my ProMarkers to colour the images and added a little Sakura clear glitter gel pen to the buttons and the girls hair and necklace. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and to get it to echo the circle, I bent it before I put it on the acrylic block. The flowers are by Prima and the buttons are from my stash. All the papers used are by Sassafras Lass "Serendipity".

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 25 - In the water

This weeks challenge over on Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog is "In the water". So I have made a larger A5 card this week, so that I could fit the scene on. I have used Tilda and the Jetty from the Summer Stamp Club. The Reeds were from the Sea & Summer 2008 collection. I have coloured all the images with my ProMarkers, and added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair and the water. The papers are Scenic Route "Grafton" the ribbon is American Craft, the flowers are by Prima. The spacers in the flowers were a gift from Marlene (my crafting bud...thanks Hun), but she does sell them in her eBay shop. The little tags were from Staples. All the sentiments are by Hero Arts.

I do love this challenge blog, it is one of my faves as you can use any stamps. Click on the link over on the right and see...the DT always produce some amazing cards and projects.

Cupcake Tilda Card

After seeing the gorgeous card that t-cake made with this stamp, I just had to ink mine up and create one.

In addition to Cupcake Tilda I have used a selection of Hero Arts sentiment stamps and cupcake. The papers are all PaperMania "Sweet Nothings". The blossoms are by Prima with some random buttons from my stash. I have coloured all the images with my ProMarkers and added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to Tilda's hair, wings and the swirls on her dress...plus the sprinkles on the large cupcake. I also added some Stickles around the buttons and onto the flowers....and they look so sparkly.

Papertake Weekly Challenge "A Stitch in Time"

Finally here is my card for this weeks challenge over on Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is "A stitch in time", the stitching can be real or faux....this week has been a bit frantic, so I opted for faux. The image is the new Magnolia "So Heavenly", and they have been coloured with my ProMarkers. The papers are My Minds Eye, and are the remains of the August 2008 ScrapaGoGo kit. For Tilda's wings I have added silver Stickles....and they look bling-tastic.

Scrapbook Trends August 2008 Issue...

Well, for those of you who cannot get, don't know, or haven't seen, here are the two pages in the magazine that featured my mini book...

I have left the images nice and big, so if you click on them, you can see bigger pictures and even read the text....if you feel like it.
Well it is almost the end of the week again, and I am busy as always juggling work and crafting. I am just finishing of my ScrapaGoGo September DT work...almost there. Next week is a busy one her too as we are having out=r new bathroom fitted. Our bathroom is a shoebox, in fact the bath was fitted and the wall built around it, and the bathroom showroom owner could reach his arms out and touch both walls...LOL So we are ditching the bath and having a luxury shower instead....yay. So I will be home all week, looking after Georgia and working from home when I can.

Trying out a new look...

So, I after looking at so many blogs that have had a facelift recently, I thought I would try a new look for my blog.....You Like?, leave me a comment and let me know.

Today I collected some parcels from the PO that they tried to deliver while I was on holiday...well my mini book was back from being published in Scrapbook Trends (August 2008 issue)....it's so nice to get it back (especially when I had worked out how much it cost to make). Well I also got my goodies...a pack of papers and stickers by Scenic Route "Grafton Collection" and pack of SEI letter stickers and 2 packs of Scenic Route chipboard "Crowns" and "Birds". Ironic really as over the weekend I ordered a few sheets of some of those papers....now if only I had not been on holiday I wouldn't have missed the delivery, therefore I would not have needed to place the order...LOL...oh well. I also got some new stamps from Alota Stamps...so I have been busy inking them up today. Last night I ordered my first set of Nestabilities from http://www.ucutathome.com/, well I did promise myself that I would order them after my holiday...and I am back...LOL.

I have included a picture of the outside of the mini book published in Scrapbook Trends, but will scan the article and add it this evening.

Sarah Kay Challenge WK8 Sketch

The challenge for this week over on Sarah Kay Challenge Blog is a sketch. I had this image given to me in a swap...can't remember who with though. The papers and chipboard buttons are Crate Paper "Sweet Branch" and the stickers (letters and journal block) are both by American Crafts. All the elements of the card, with the exception of the image were part of the August ScrapaGoGo Kit....and lush it was too.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 11 "No Cards Allowed"

The challenge this week over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog is "No Cards Allowed". You can make just about anything as long as it is not a card, and it contains at least one Penny Black stamp. Now I am running out of different Penny Black images, but thanks to Annie I have a couple more....I even pinched this rabbit image that she gave to Georgia....but then she is getting the bookmark, so she is happy.

The other items used are Heidi Grace "Baby" papers with a small piece of ribbon from my stash. The ric rac is from August 2008 ScrapaGoGo kit, and the words are done with my ATB (Around the Block) Tape Writer. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers....I really do love these pens....and the speed with which I can get the colouring done is fab.

We're Home and Friday Sketchers

Well after an epic 5 hour journey back to Dad's in Surrey and then another 1.5 hours back to Milton Keynes arriving at 8.15pm last night, having left Looe at 1.15pm. Boy were we knackered, we just emptied the car and left it all in the hallway for the morning.

So now that I am home again and reunited with my stash, with the washing machine on meltdown trying to catch up with everything...I had a little time to catch up with this weekends challenges. While I was away my new stamps arrived from Magnolia...so that was a nice welcome home. As usual I can hardly wait to stamp them up, and once the washing machine was on the go, I got the chance to play. I have used Travelling Tilda & Suitcase stamps both by Magnolia. All the papers and stickers are Making Memories "Passport". I have coloured Tilda with my ProMarkers and put Tilda onto 3D foam pads.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 23 "Bright Colours"

This week the challenge over on Cute Card Thursday is "Bright Colours". So despite having the first sunny day here since we arrived on Saturday, I have still managed to whip this card up using stamped images that I bought with me. For this card I have used one of my new Alota stamps...it looks like this pair are having fun playing dress up. The papers are Autumn Leaves, and I cannot for the life of me remember what range they are from....you can almost guarantee that as soon as I have finished this post and have logged off and gone back to the caravan.....the range with suddenly just pop into my head. The other items are Prima flowers, Autumn Leaves stamps (ticket) and ChatterBox "Artsy.licious" , Doodlebug rub-ons and some random bling from my stash. So this is the last of my "caravan creations"...LOL.

Today I had the opportunity to meet up with the lovely Annie (DT member of Cute Card Thursday and Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blogs), we had a lovely chat over coffee in Looe, and all too quickly it was time to say goodbye as her Hubby was ready to leave, and my tribe were finished crabbing and ready to take advantage of the sun and head down to the beach....let's hope we can do it again next year...but for longer next time. Georgia and I both came away with a lovely card and a stack of stamped images....Georgia had even won a set of mini stamps for taking part in the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge....she was a happy bunny.
