Moooo

Here is a card I made with one of the cute digi images by Christy Croll over at the Tiddly Inks online store. She is called "Smoochie" and I have coloured her with Copics...ok, so when I say coloured....I added a little C0 to the white bits and did the lips and bow in R27 & R29....so just three colours...LOL The papers are by Doodlebug and I have added some red Bazzill cardstock, some red spotted ribbon, a red spotted ribbon bow (both from Craft Fairy) three heart pins (one of which I coloured black with a Sharpie) and a sentiment by Craftwork Cards. The centre in very dimensional as the scalloped circle is on 3D foam, as is the cow and then I added an additional layer of lips on 3D foam too....I created the background with a stamp that I got from Sir Stampalot in their sale last year......It is one of my faves for creating backgrounds.

Be sure to pop back tomorrow as I have the first sneak peek at the new Pixie Dust Studios "The Fair" release...

Anyone for Anya? - Only Men Allowed!

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? challenge blog with Father's Day next weekend we thought we would give you a chance to make a card for the Father's...and if you have made them already, or sadly don't need to make one then a card for a man for a different occasion is fine too.

For my card I have used one of the TGF "My Guy Ian" stamps and coloured him with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E47
Clothing - B93/B95/B97/YG03/E37
The papers are all DCWV "Rockstar" and I have simply added a Craftwork Cards circle sentiment and punch a stamp out of the papers with my Stampin' Up punch. I also stamped one of my favourite sentiments by Inkadinkado next to the image...I just love these kids quotes....and hopefully Tracy @ Dies to Die For will have some of them in soon...they are on order, so keep watching and make sure you are either following the DTDF blog or signed up to the newsletter to hear about it first.

Be sure to hop on over HERE and see what the rest of the DT came up with. I am also entering this card over on Crafty Angels as they want use to use a favourite stamp. This one is definately my fave boy/male stamp.

SJ's Little Musings...the Pink Elephant card...

OK, so yesterday SJ said on Facebook that she wanted to see the Eli image coloured in pink...so yesterday I set to colouring them pink...and how cute do they look....they are now a Mother & Daughter combo...how versatile.

For the card I have used the sketch over on Papertake Weekly this week. The papers are a real mixture, the bottom one is MME Lush, the pink square one was set to me by a lovely lady who was our guest on CCT, and the diecut one is also MME Contrary. The cardstock is all by Provocraft from one of the Cricut pads. I have embellished with the same Magnolia sentiment above the image, and also a Craftwork Card round sentiment, some decorative pins, flowers, pearl bling and a butterflies punched with my Martha Stewart punch.

I love the pink and aqua combo....Be sure to check on the Papertake Weekly challenge blog....some gorgeous cards to feat your eyes upon.

SJ's Little Musings Friday Freebie...

This week over on SJ's Little Musings blog it's time for another Friday Freebies, and we have another animal musing for you...June is animal month. SJ created these cute Father & Son elephants in time for you to use them for Father's Day cards...as Sunday is in fact Father's Day. I have coloured my elephants with the following Copic colours...W0/W1/W2/W3/R00. The papers are all Basic Grey "Granola" and I am almost finished my second paper pad...need to order another...LOL. I have also used the sketch over on the Basic Grey Challenge Blog, and added a stamped sentiment by Magnolia and one of my tickets.

Well David just took Georgia to school and has driven off to Liverpool to work again this weekend. He has already been up there once this week. Georgia is sad, but he is hoping to come home on Sunday afternoon and then we can take him for a Father's Day dinner. So I am left here with Georgia...at least the weather is supposed to be better over the weekend.

Be sure to check out both SJ's Blog and the Basic Grey Challenge Blog.

ETA - What a pillock I am...Father's Day is next Sunday...Thanks Zoe!

Cute Card Thursday - Anything but Square!

This week over on the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog our theme is "Anything but Square". We want to see your cards in any shape but a square.

For my card I have used one of the cute new hAnglar & stAnglar baby mini kit that I got from eBay last week, and I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E53
Clothing - R81/R82
Rattle - E50/E53/R00
I kept this one very simple just adding some baby footprints using my Autumn Leaves stamp and created the bib using my circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities, with my SU oval punch to create the neckline. The dotted paper is by Craftwork Cards and is from their Sugar & Spice paper pack. Apart from that I just added some ribbon a couple of Fancy Pants pins and one of my ticket sentiments.

Be sure to hop on over and join in with this weeks challenge...you may just win that Simon Says Stamp $25 voucher.

Lili of the Valley - DawnyP's Sketch

This week over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog we have so much going on. Next we have been sponsored by Paul & Siri at Wild Orchid Crafts...and you know how much I adore their flowers...amazing value for fabulous flowers.
So this week Dawny has been kind enough to provide us all with a gorgeous sketch. For my card I decided to use the "By the River" image which I have coloured with Copics (available from Dies to Die For...HERE) using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E44/E47/E49
Clothing - R29/B21/B23

Squiggle Stamps - Spinner Cards...

I wanted to show you something different this morning, and over the weekend I came across a video tutorial on another stamp manufacturers blog, and I thought..."Ohh....the Squiggle monster image & clown images would look fab on one of those cards...so I made not one but two. What you cannot see from the picture is that both the monster and the clown don't slide, but roll along the slot in the middle of the card...due to the two pennies that are behind the image.

You can get the monster image HERE as a digi and HERE as a rubber stamp. I have added the googlie eye...I love how it makes him look.
The clown is available HERE as a digi and HERE as a rubber stamp.

Although the slider part of the two cards is the same the overall dimensions are different as the top one was using 6.5 x 5 inches card base as the intructions were on a US site...and they have different card sizes to us. The clown one was done using a regular A6 card. I thought the October Afternoon "Night Light" papers were perfect for both the monster and the clown version.

Kids love these cards and they don't take long to make....and the impact is a WOW....my daughter insisted that we made another one together when she saw it.

Don't forget to take part in the June Challenge to be in with a chance of joining the Squiggle Stamps DT...Details are HERE.

Hope you all have a fab day...and go on, have a go at making one of these cards...they are so simple. They would need to be as I am not big on things that need complex instructions to make. You can find the fab tutorial by Betty, DT Co-Ordinator of Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog...HERE, there is also a fab one of Splitcoast Stampers...HERE.

Anyone for Anya? - Hot, Hot, Hot!

A little later than usual....I have a visitor staying and we have been out shopping (HobbyCraft, B&Q and Asda), came home for a coffee and a quick bite and off we went for a walk (a scoot in Georgia's case) around Willen Lake.

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? challenge blog our theme is Hot, Hot, Hot! For my card I have used one of the Wild Sprouts from the Roll Call Set, she is called Summer, and coloured her with Copics (available HERE from Tracy @ DTDF) using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E50/E51/E53
Clothing - R27/R29/G000/G00/G02
The papers are all Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird" and I have layered them with some Bazzill cardstock. I have embellished with butterflies punched with my Martha Stewart punch, a red heart pin, some ribbon from Hobbycraft, red bling and a butterfly sentiment by Craftwork Cards.

I have also used the lovely rounded endge sketch over on Friday Sketchers...so be sure to pop over there too and check out the DT cards. As always the cards on Anyone for Anya? are fab and all so different, so be sure to take a couple of minutes to check out the rest of the DT cards.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Going Goth!

I found a new challenge blog yesterday...Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog, using the uber cute Tiddly Inks images by Christy Croll....I saw these images on Stamping Caz's Blog but there was no link and also no mention of Tiddly Inks so it took me a while to find them. Anyway, now I have a few...ok, make that a dozen and I just cannot stop colouring them. So after I found them I also found their challenge blog, and this week their theme is "Going Goth!" so here is my card...
For my card I have used an image called "Everyday Princess". I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - C0/C1/C2/C3/C5/C7/C9
Clothing - YG13/YG23/W0/W1/W2/W3/W5/W7/W9
The papers are all Prima Marketing, but are a mixture of "Pulse" and "Rock on Love" and I have layered with some Provocraft cardstock that was in a 6x12 pad for the Cricut. I have also added some Bazzill tulle, a heart pin which I coloured black, black bling and a Craftwork Cards sentiment. I recreated the heart with crossbones that is on her top by punching a heart using my Stampin' Up punch and Doodlebug Flocked cardstock and then drew the crossbones myself.

Keep watching for more of these cuties...as I have about 4 other images already coloured...LOL

I am also entering this card into the challenge on the Sir Stampalot Challenge Blog as their theme is "Punch It!" and I punched a heart out.

SJ's Little Musings Friday Freebie...

I can hardly believe it is that time of the week again....Friday Freebie time over on SJ's Little Musings. This week SJ has something a little different for you. Back in April SJ had a competition and the prize was to have a Little Musing of your own done. Well the lucky winner was Lisa whose blog is One Happy Little Crafter. Lisa has the most adorable little Westie called Nippy, and this was the image she asked SJ to draw as her prize.....so here he is in all his glory...
As the image is white, I have not coloured him, I simply printed him on with SJ's shading already done. I also found these amazing freebie sentiments created by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs...you can download them HERE.

Using both the PNG file from SJ, and also from Ann, I added the sentiment to the Little Musing so that I could use my Nestabilities to cut him out. The papers I have used on the card are Pink Paislee "Bayberry" and I have layered with some Bazzill cardstock and also some Bazzill Bling cardstock. I have embellished quite simply just adding some black dotted ribbon, black bling and a bone paperclip. I also decided to add a little butterfly to his nose using my Martha Stewart punch. I added two butterflies one with the wings stood proud for extra dimension.

I adore this little fella, and hope SJ does some more animal Little Musings. You can download this cute freebie HERE.

Wedding Mini Books...

I wanted to give my cousin and his new wife a personal present for their wedding, so came up with the idea of a mini book, which I would fill with photos that I took on their day. So here is what I made...
It is a Bo Bunny Binder that I have covered with DCWV "Be Mine" papers and where the canvas on the binder meets the paper I have added some co-ordinating ribbons. I decorated with American Crafts Glitter Thickers, Bazzill tulle, pearl pin and some Martha Stewart butterflies. The inside is more of the same papers and embellishments...take a look at a couple of pages...

I will be filling it with photos this afternoon and giving it to them at breakfast in the Hotel before we leave...

I then decided that I would make one for my Auntie using all the same stuff....just a little different...so here is hers...
And a selection of the inside pages...
The mini books are very similar, I have just used slightly different paper combinations...one is a little more pink, the other a little more aqua.

We arrived at about 2pm...just as they were taking the photos, I didn't bother with any of the large group shots as I was only interested in getting the Bride & Groom. So when all the other guests boarded the red double decker London bus that was taking them all to the reception, I followed the official photographer and got some of the shots he was taking....don't worry he never complained and I stayed right out of this way...LOL.  The plan was to then print them once I got back from the reception (I took my Laptop and my little Canon Selphy Dye Sub printer) and hand them over in the morning over breakfast at the hotel...(can you hear the Mission Impossible music in your head...) Well all went to plan and we got back to the Hotel at a little after 1.15am, and David & Georgia fell straight into bed while I sat and printed 18 photos (9 for each book). I punched butterflies and swirl to overlap the photos, and I am so pleased to say that both recipients LOVED them, in fact every guest that saw them thought they were fantastic and said how fantastic the photos were, and what a wonderful gift it was. So much so that I have decided to make another for Rachel's lovely Mum, Anna. We stayed back this morning to help take down the decorations and clean the marquee as it is being used for another event tomorrow, and after went back to their house for a delicious lunch...and ended up sitting in the garden with the rest of my family (Aunt & Cousins) and waved off the newly weds off as they drove to the airport to go on their honeymoon.

We finally got home at 6pm, tired but having had a wonderful weekend...and now I am back in my craft room trying to get back on track with my DT commitments...I will be ready with a preview of one of the new Pixie Dust Studios 3rd June release, and also a Squiggle Stamps card...so make sure you are back tomorrow. I will also show pics this week of the third in the mini book series...and this time I will show you one with pics in it...just to prove it got finished.
