Sorry for another short and sweet post...

This week over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog our theme is Goodbye Summer! and you have to make a fall card. The first holiday I think of in fall is Halloween....so I made a Halloween card. I have used one of Christy's new Halloween images called Portence, which I have coloured with Copics. The papers are a mixture of Teresa Collins for Junkitz, Making Memories and Basic Grey Eerie. I have embellished with some black spotted ribbon, a spider charm and a couple of Making Memories decorative pins. I created the sentiment with Making Memories Mini Alpha's.

Be sure to hop on over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the amazing DT did.

SJ's Little Musings - Friday Freebie

This week over on SJ's Little Musings Blog it is Friday Freebie time again, and as it is still August (I know it doesn't feel like it) we have our final Christmas image for the month. We have another Hollie for you, and as her boyfriend is the delightful Noel, I decided to make a card that featured them both (I have used the pre coloured versions, although I added a little colour to their faces as my printer makes them too pale). The papers are all My Minds Eye Wonderful Christmas and I have layered them with some red cardstock. The embellishments are an assortment of foam snowflakes that came from HobbyCraft, an old Craftwork Cards bauble sentiment attached to a piece of tinsel so that it looks like it is dangling, and finally a poinsetta and some bling.

Sorry for the short post today, but I am up to my eyes in DT work that I want to get finished before I am off on my holidays.

ProMarker Storage Solution...

Georgia has been nagging me for a better way to store her ProMarkers. They were in a cute lilac box with a lid and handle but as she pointed out when you have all the colours to sort through it is almost impossible to find the colour you want. So a quick search around the net and I happened upon this idea using a DVD tower from Ikea for £7.99 plus some empty DVD cases (you need 14 in total). You can see Sue's version HERE. The DVD's are a little more expensive as Sue did hers in 2009. But the total cost was still just under £15. So yesterday afternoon I spent a couple of hours printing the bits for the spine and colouring them in. We still need to go to Staples and get some white sticker dots so that we can put the colour on the end of each pen to make it even easier. But as you can image she is over the moon with it, and spent the afternoon colouring, and even woke up early this morning and sat at her desk colouring until I woke up. If you want to do this the unit is called BOALT from Ikea and I got the bits for the spine from Passion for ProMarkers.

Squiggle Stamps - Miss Evie Wonderland

Here is the card I made this week for the Squiggle Stamps blog. I decided that I wanted to make an Alice in Wonderland themed card, so just had to use the cute Miss Evie Wonderland, you can get her HERE as a digi. For a sentiment I used one of my ticket sentiment downloads and changed it to belated birthday...it went with the "I'm late!, I'm late!" Alice in Wonderland theme....and I actually needed a belated card too....LOL

Cards for the birth of twins!!

One of the Mum's of Georgia's school friend has just given birth to twins, and I wanted to make her a couple of cards. I initially was going to make one card with both of these images by The Clipart Fairy, but decided that the babies would be made to share so much in their life, that giving them a card each was the best way to go. These cute images come pre-coloured and with matching spotted papers. I have also used some kraft cardstock and co-ordinating coloured cardstock for matting and layering. They are both embellished with a mixture of Doodlebug shaped buttons, Fancy Pants decorative pins, American Craft satin ribbons, bling, buttons and AC fabric Thickers.

Be sure to come back here tomorrow as Anyone for Anya? are having a Birthday Blog Hop....and along with our regular sponsor, each of the DT will have a candy to give away to all those who take part.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Movie Magic!

This week on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog our theme is Movie Magic. We want to see your cards inspired by a summer movie. Now I have to confess that I struggles with this one, and as I was making my card I prayed that we hadn't all had the same idea. Luckily for me the rest of the DT were less obvious than me....they came up with some truly fab cards....thank goodness they didn't all go for the obvious like me.

I have used three Tiddly Inks images, Time for Tea, Mad About You, and the freebie cup that was available to members of the Paper Craft Planet group....although you can always use Cup from the Cuppa Love set. All the images have been coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Cup - B21/B23/W0
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - Alice - Y21/YR31
Hair - Mad Hatter - E08/E19
Clothing - Alice - B21/B23/Y28/W0/W1
Clothing - Mad Hatter - W3/W5/W7/YR04/R21
I have also used patterned papers by Stampin' Up, Doodlebug Sugar Coated cardstock and a couple of playing cards...plus of course a sentiment that I made myself using my Ticket Sentiment download.

Be sure to pop on over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and see what movies inspired the rest of the DT.

Anyone for Anya? - Photo inspired colour challenge...

This week over on the Anyone for Anya? challenge blog we have a colour theme inspired by a photo of a gorgeous vase of flowers. For my card I have used one of The Greeting Farm Creeper Crew, this one is called "Tuesday", and I have coloured her with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - R81/R83
Crown - Y21/Y26/Y28
Clothing - V13/V15/V17
Boots - RV29
I have used an off-cut of Hambly Overlay that I had lying around and have used that for the base of the card. I have then used a glittery foam crown that I got in HobbyCraft and used my Nesties Label One set to create the background for the image to attach to....I have also added some on the inside so that they can be written on. The cherry blossom flowers are from Creative Treasures as are the pins and a circle sentiment by Craftwork Cards. I also punch a couple of holes in the Hambly overlay and threaded through some Bazzill Tulle, and tied it in a big bow.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's designs on Anyone for Anya?....they have rocked the colour theme.
