Layouts from ScrapFever....

Well some of them anyway....I am working on finishing a couple of them...just little bits left to do.

The first is Interactive class one, layout one. As you can see we created a flap on the right hand side of the LO that sticks through the page protector so that it can be viewed without removing the LO from the page protector.

Karen's idea is to incorporate the page protector into the design rather than think of it as something that has to go over the top of the LO.

The second LO that we created in her first class incorporated a flap and pockets at the top of the page where more pictures and other memorabilia can be kept.

I will post pictures of the others a little later, as I really need to get off to work.

Oh no...it's the final countdown....

Now, if you are sad like me you can hear BonJovi singing in your head...LOL

So this morning I have the final Karen Russell interactive class. Her first class yesterday was AMAZING. As she was talking at the beginning of the class she was welling up with emotion when she was talking about her kids....it bought tears to my eyes.....she is most certainly one of the most inspirational scrappers I have ever met, and her pages are stunning, and the journalling....well it's gets ya. I am so glad that when I saw her name on the list of teachers, I jumped straight in and booked, honest to god, if you ever see her name on a teaching list in this country....FORGET THE COST, FORGET EVERYTHING ELSE....JUST BOOK IT.
Anyway, been having a FAB time, Amy and her Hubby and Parents have done an amazing job, and I definately want to sign up for next years event.

So finally, here is a pretty for you to look at. I made this in the morning before I came here on Friday. Was my first time stamping with this stamp. She is of course Ballerina Tilda by Magnolia. The sentiment stamp is by SeeDee's, the papers are Basic Grey "Sultry", the ribbon is from HobbyCraft and the Blossom is an old one from the now defunct L'il Davis.

So either later tonight or tomorrow I will be back with pictures of what I made....which consists so far of a 7Gypsies Tag Book, AC 8x8 album, and 6 LO's... I think there are two more to do today. The AC album needs to have a few more pics and some journalling, the tag book needs pics from this weekend, but all the other projects are completed.

Bye for now.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 4 "Planes, Trains & Automobiles"

So I know I am away, but thank god for free wireless internet at the hotel....ya gotta love it.

I made this card on Thursday Night/Friday Morning for this weeks challenge and am just getting around to loading it. It is for David's brothers birthday on Monday. The sentiment reads "The only difference between men and boys.... is the size of their toys"....and how true that is. I have used my Hanglar & StAnglar stamps with K&Co "Hopscotch Boy" papers, American Craft ribbon and my ATB tape writer for the sentiment. There is even a piece of Basic Grey "Cupcake" that the stamped image is matted onto.
Dinner was lush last night, and cannot I wait to have brekkie. I am also rather pleased with myself as I have actually completed 2 LO's so far, which is not bad for a ditherer like me.I have also cropped my photos ready for Karen Russell's class at 9.15am.

Yipppeeee, Today's the Day.....

It's Fever time. Well my stash is packed and I am about to go and pack my clothes and toiletries. I will be leaving at about 12.30pm so that I can be there for the 2pm check in. I know most of the people will be arriving later during the day as I expect some of them have further to travel, but I wanted to be there as soon as we are allowed into our rooms, as I like to unpack and get my room sorted...I can't help myself, I always like to arrange my things and hang clothes up etc.
Anyway, in between packing last night, I managed to make some cards....2 in total that I will show you over the weekend. All the rooms have free high speed internet access...thank goodness, I don't cope well without a computer...LOL...kidding. I will however be using it so that I can talk to Georgia & David via webcam.
So this card is using Skating Tilda and some Clevercut stamps. The papers are Basic Grey "Sultry", the blossom is by Bo Bunny and the ribbon is American Craft. I am loving these Basic Grey papers, I only bought the 6x6 pad as I always end up buying the 12x12 papers and never using them....I have a Basic Grey mountain, although the last pack I got was "Phoebe" and I have used some of them....but trust me not enough to justify buying the pack.

So I better get back to packing as I want to make sure I don't forget anything.

TooT TooT FoR mE

I am so excited and chuffed. Back in January I submitted my Urban Lily Secret Keeper Book to Scrapbook Trends for inclusion in their August 2008 issue. Well yesterday afternoon, I received an email saying that they would like to include it and could I post it to them by Friday 4th.....I cannot believe it, it is the first time I have ever submitted anything to a US mag, and the first time I have submitted anything to them. So last night I got everything ready for posting, filled out their product list (which was fab and very extensive) and signed the form. Now I just have to pray that it arrives in time, and that they actually use it. For being asked to submit you receive a parcel of scrapping goodies and two copies of the magazine....not bad as you get it even if they don't end up using it.

So anyway, this weeks challenge over on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge Blog is "Check it Out"...you have to use checks on your ATC.
So for mine I stamped onto checked paper and cut out Edwin's trousers, I then stamped again onto the green paisley paper and cut out the top, the rest of tme image has been coloured with Primacolor's and blended with Sansador. The papers are K&Co "Hopscotch", the ribbon is American Craft and I used my ATB tape writer for the words.

Thanks ladies, I really am enjoying making ATC's for the first time ever....it's so nice to make something that I can keep.

Ismaki Challenge 13

Here is my card for this weeks Ismaki Challenge. I coloured the image last night, but ran out of time to make the card. So before heading off to work this morning I finished it off.

The stamps are Magnolia "Chic Tilda" and "Curly Frame" and the sentiment stamps is a SeeD's one I ordered from the US. The papers are Papermania "Retro Floral", the blossom is by Doodlebug and the buttons are Autumn Leaves "French Twist" plus a random piece of thread to tie the button.

Bit hectic here the last couple of days with me rushing around trying to work, look after Georgia and get myself packed for ScrapFever....hard to believe I have just a couple of days before I go. I have uploaded all my photos to Costco, so that David can collect them after work....it took me until 1.30am this morning to get them successfully loaded...and today I am feeling the effects.

Georgia was wonderful at her school Spring Service. They sang a couple of songs including "Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken". When she went up to read the prayer that she had written, I could see she was nervous, but she stood at the microphone and read it out perfectly. I have a video of it so that David can watch it this evening. It was most definately a Proud Mummy Moment.

Hanglar & StAnglar swaped images...

I received some gorgeous swaped images from a very Special Lady yesterday and couldn't help myself....I had to make something.

So in addition to the image, I have used Clevercut Tag stamp, and an Autumn Leaves ticket stamps. The paper are K&Co "Roam", Heidi Swapp Blossom, Doodlebug Buttons and a small piece of ribbon from Hobbycraft.

Sugar Nellie SK8R Boy

I finally got my hands on the SK8R Boy Sugar Nellie when they came back into stock this week.

For this card I have used Basic Grey "Skate Shoppe" papers, and my ATB Tape Writer for the sentiment. I have been struggling with Boy cards, due to lack of appropriate stamps...10 year old boys really don't like cards with boys that have wings (Magnolia Edwin)....so now I have a few more suitable stamps.

3 days and counting...

Well it is getting closer, only 3 more days and I am off. I am sat here processing pictures to load to Costco for printing. Why oh why do I always leave this until the last minute, will I never learn.
Anyway, I sat and finished this last night in between sorting myself out. I love these stamps, and then this morning I received a lovely package from Marlene containing more lovely stamped images, obviously different to the ones that I have. So keep a look out for some different Hanglar & StAnglar stamps.
I also received my little order from Funky kits containing a couple of Magnolia's and the restocked SK8r Boy Sugar Nellie, plus a BG Two Scoops 6x6 pad. It seems like it was stamp bonanza today as my order from Magnolia in Sweden arrived, so I have some new Tilda's to play with. I ordered a couple of the new ones that I wished I had ordered the first time, and also some of the accessories...hearts, frame, tag, bench, fence, gate, heart tree...you get the idea. Now I am just waiting for the Magnolia Stamp Club images.....I do so hope that they are not ones that I already have....keeping my fingers crossed.
I am off to church this morning, as Georgia's school is having a late Easter type service, and for the first time Georgia will be standing up and reading something. Now this might not be a big deal for anyone else's children, but Georgia is painfully shy about this sort of thing and it is a huge breakthrough. So I am armed with my video camera, so that David can watch it tonight.

Hanglar & StAnglar Thank You" ATC

I made this cutie for a lady who shall remain nameless until she receives it....which should be tomorrow. I never thought I would ever enjoy making ATC's as all the ones I had seen were very collagey (made that word up) in style and I am rubbish at that sort of style. After seeing all the cute ATC's over on the Magnolia & Friends ATC Blog....I realised they could also be cute and fab. I think this is about the 7th one I have made with a cute stamp, all previous ones were trying to emulate that arty style, and I was pleased I never kept any of them...LOL.

I have been rushing around today trying to get stuff organised before I am off on Friday....only 4 days until I leave for Chesham and ScrapFever....can't wait.

I have another Hanglar & StAnglar card to share a little later, just need to get it loaded.

Five Days to go........then it's Fever time....

Ok, so I am now officially excited, for on Friday @ lunchtime I am off to Chesham, to Latimer Place Hotel for ScrapFever April 2008 Retreat....and the pictures of the new refurb look fab. I am planning to upload all the pics I need to print to Costco this evening so that they can be collected on Monday/Tuesday....and I have to start deciding what supplies I want/need to take...LMAO.

I did make another card last night...Another with my gorgeous new Hanglar & StAnglar stamps....I can never get bored of these lovelies.
The other stamps used are Stampendous and Papirloftet, the papers are K&Co "Hopscotch", the ribbons are American Craft, the buttons are from a huge stash I have...I had a buttons addiction for a while...I seem to at least be able to use them now, rather than just hoard them.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 3 "People"

This card was totally inspired by one from Monica I loved the card so much that I went and bought the stamp. I already had the papers and have been using them all month, I think they are my favourite PaperMania papers ever. So in addition to the papers and Bella stamps, I used a Stampin' Up sentiment circle stamp, and some HobbyCraft ribbon. I even used Monica's technique of going around the image in a pale blue colour...it really does make the image pop.

Arty Girlz Challenge 27 "Chocolate"

This weeks challenge over on the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog was to create a chocolate themed project....You had to use chocolate plus another colour...and of course white was also allowed. So here is mine, I learnt this technique at a Stampin' Up party, and thought I would make another one. I have used my Shy Tilda and cupcake stamps from Magnolia. The Papers are Basic Grey "Sultry" & "Sugared", the ribbon is by Stampin' Up "choc chip taffeta", and I used my ATB tape writer for the sentiment.
You wouln't believe this is actually my third attempt at completing this challenge, as I kept adding another colour.....finally I have managed to stick to the two colours.

Hanglar & StAnglar's and Blog Candy Giveaway

I just cannot get enough of these gorgeous stamps...I just really really wish that I could get hold of some more designs. I think I need a PenPal in Norway or Sweden....so if you are from either of those lovely countries and want to take pity of a Hanglar obsessed card maker...please get in touch.

Anyway, back to the card. I obviously used one of my new Hanglar stamps, the sentiment stamp is by Clevercut, the papers are K&Co, the gorgeous ribbon is chocolate chip tafeta by Stampin' Up, the blossom is by L'il Davis and the button is by Doodlebug. I started making this card with the intention of using it for this weeks Arty Girlz "Chocolate" challenge, but you were only supposed to use one other colour with the brown...and I got carried away...

Now this card is also using one of my new Hanglar stamps....how much do I love these cuties. The other stamp used is by Stampendous....it is the only one I have left from a lovely packet that I have LOST....goodness knows where the rest are, I have searched everywhere and have decided that if I stop looking, I will find them....well I live in hope. The papers are Basic Grey "Sultry", the ribbon is American Craft, the blossoms are Bazzill (pink) and L'il Davis (green), and finally the buttons are Doodlebug.

Now if you are drooling over these lush stamps, don't forget to check out my Blog Candy Giveaway....some stamped Hanglar & StAnglar, Magnolia and Sugar Nellie images and a brand new Magnolia "Steps" stamp....all you need to do is comment on the "Blog Candy Giveaway" post with a link to something you have created and I will add your name to the draw.....go on....they are soooo lush.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge "Blue & Yellow"

Here is my ATC for this weeks challenge. I love this little Bear Edwin from the newest Magnolia release.
I even splashed out and used my new Basic Grey "Cupcake" papers from the 6x6 pad I purchased last week. The sentiment is done using my ATB tape writer and as usual I have used my Prismacolors and blended with Sansador. The little piece of ribbon making a tab is by American Craft.

Another fab challenge ladies, so thanks.

And...wait for it, one actual stamp, yes a brand new stamp (the steps)....what do I have to do I hear you ask. Well I want you to leave me a comment, with a link to something you have created. I will be putting a slide show up with all the wonderful things you all create...so go on...get creating, and have fun.

Ismaki Challenge 12

They arrived this morning and they are gorgeous....thanks Kim. I love their faces, they are so cute and so different to Magnolia's and Sugar Nellies. Anyway, I wasn't feeling so good today I have been coming down with a cold for the last few days, so I stayed home for the day...and played with my new stamps. So here is the first card I made with my very own Hanglar & Stanglars...

The papers are K&Co "Hopscotch", the buttons are Making Memories and Doodlebug, and the sentiment stamp is by Stampendous.

I am now in the middle of another card with my new stamps, so be prepared to see more of them over the next week until I have made a card with each of them.

Sugar Nellie with GoGo Create...

After making a card for the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog with my March ScrapaGoGo kit, I couldn't resist making a Sugar Nellie card with the kit. I love the colours in the K&Co "Wild Saffron" papers, and used a gorgeous muted shade to colour the image. I used my Prisma's with Sansador...no surprise there. The sentiment is a Stampendous stamp, and all other elements are from the March ScrapaGoGo kit.

Back to work for me tomorrow....how nice has the long weekend been, even if the weather has been awful.

Tilda & Co Challenge 12 - Template Challenge

This weeks challenge over on Tilda & Co Challenge Blog is a template design. For the challenge I used one of my new Tilda's, she is Tilda Gathering Straw. All the other items used were part of my March ScrapaGoGo kit, and the sentiment is by Stampendous.

I really enjoyed working from the template, thanks for the challenge ladies.
